I have been watching your videos for several years already with some pauses. Interesting to see how your tastes evolve, I remember you sang praises to your greys, now you have your hair dyed, or that you sold all black clothes in favor of light colors, now you buy them again))) Maybe it resonates because of the way you presented your minimalistic ideas (it made me believe you'd keep your ground on them) but surely it's totally your business. Just interesting to observe how you cross out your old ideas)

2) Old Ideas. This one resonates with me. I grew up in the 80s and was sort of a preppy girl. Over the years I collected preppy pins on my board and even bought lots of these items but found I wasn’t wearing them! So I’m working on releasing the preppy identity I held onto. Not sure what my next style ‘being’ will be but I’m excited to discover it! Happy 2023! 🎉
One big thing I force myself to do since i retired last year is to NOT keep items because they are deeply discounted and well made. That was how I got a huge wardrobe and shoe closet. If I feel meh about it, if I have no place to wear it, if it is redundant, if it doesn’t go with lots of existing items, I return it.

If I may be so bold as to make a video request... I would love to see a "whatever happened to this item in my wardrobe" type of video. Like with pieces from a wardrobe video from two or three years ago: if they are still around or got sold etc. I realize that would be a long "madness" type of undertaking, but I could just watch that sort of thing all day. I also understand that may not be something of which you've kept track. [Although I can say that the only thing I bought in 2017, that I still have, is a toque (a knit hat, rhymes with Luke, I'm Canadian), not everyone is such a data-collection geek as me.] 😀

In recent years I’ve really committed to living my values with my wardrobe and I love my clothes and how they make me feel. I shop from a few small Aussie women owned brands where I’ve developed a relationship with the people who are designing my clothes. I feel good IN my clothes and feel good ABOUT my clothes and it’s made a huge difference. My wardrobe is also quite cohesive because of this and because of the climate I get to wear the same clothes all year round with some layering which I know is a luxury and allows me more wear from my items.
I have been so tempted to change my hair lately, tho I never usually consider dying it, but you’re the last straw! It’s gorgeous, you’ve turned me!
I looooove my robot vacum. Ever since getting one we actually clean side by side now so instead of spending that time cleaning the floors, I will spend the same amount of time to detail clean something else or do surface wiping and dusting while the robot helps to clean it up. The trick is that you must have a tidy house though, no clothes or cords on the floor.
I’m a rainbow person, all black to match my dog person, all blue to match my eyes person, all purple to match my hair (!), and an “anything but yellow except for my nail polish which I love in yellow”, and lately I’ve had a fascination with thrifted earth tone red rust burnt orange tones 🛼
All great points!! The silk thing is where I am at especially. I will wear off my silk blouses that I have at the moment. I love them, but I have decided that silk is not a daily fabric for my lifestyle. Nope. I may have one or two beautiful silk garments for special occasions but not a daily thing anymore. But the way, silk crepe does not crease much. I am enjoying a high quality tencel (not modal) blouse at the moment. If it will endure, I will add more.
Just reorganised my wardrobe, and seems I work from home so much, Ive decided to hang up lounge wear as well, because it makes it more fun in the morning! Still only 33 hangers when loterally everything, except underwear,is hung up :-)
I'm glad you are moving away from the beige. It's a colour that can wash out a complexion. The dark mushroom you are wearing on this video looks great on you. Also jealous that you are looking so sun-kissed healthy, whilst we are all feeling pasty and stuck indoors in this UK rain, wind and cold! 😱

I cut off my hair - too much. I'm not comfortable at all. It's shorter than yours. But, it was pretty damaged by sunshine. So, yes I know what you're talking about 😄

I had a robot vacuum cleaner, and I sent it back. The expensive-to-replace brushes quickly got mangled on the low-rise rug edges it was meant to glide over with ease. I had to keep rescuing it when it got stuck under furniture. It took over an hour to do a job I could do (better) in 5 minutes, plus it took 5 minutes to go around the home moving cables, dog toys, water bowls etc etc. It was extremely noisy, and the pets hated it. So did I. Trust your instincts.
I gravitate back towards your videos cyclically when I'm starting to become choked by all my stuff (physical and.. not so physical) and boy was I surprised to come back to a diva 🌟 yowza! the fire is happenin! great insights & so into the down to earth sequin simplicity happening. might have to check between the couch cushions for a month of patreon 💅🤭

Your hair is FABULOUS! I realize you prefer it long, but change is good! I’m growing mine out now. (Was a Pixie wearer since 2017!) Black, white, gray, navy, a bit of brown. CHECK! Fit? Oversized. I’m just uncomfortable in tight clothing. I refuse to wear it any more!

I was longing for a robot vacume for so long, even had the money gifted some time ago but I can' t decide, I sense it will be a major disappointment somehow. Decluttering my wardrobe as I watch - it is springish today on a winter day in my part of the world.

Thanks Patricia. While you add more black into your wardrobe I am getting rid of most of my black. I am fine for me with black bottoms like skirts or pants but, it just doesnt flatter my complexion. Since you mentioned getting more handbag(s). Just a small suggestion you might want to try Demeliler of London. The bags are really nice with different styles and colors to choose from. Plus the added bonus of not breaking the bank too. Take care.

I still think about a dress i let go of when i was trying to hit a low wardrobe number - it was definitely during my unhealthy minimalism stage
I love your hair, I have the same hair colour as you and its not that salt and pepper i imagined. But I stay like this because I have no clue what to do with it since is very fragile. I wish I could go blond but I am scared it will destroy my hair because of peroxide.

I have 3 dogs including one massive ball of fluff. I LOVE my robot vaccum. I do still vaccum with my hand held vaccum before starting the robot just to remove the huge hair balls and debris first. But it does save my wrist and time quite a bit from having to do the whole house. I don't think it would be as useful/worth it in a multi-floor house or a very small apartment where you just need to vaccum once a week. I have to vaccum daily or twice daily so robot is a life saver 😂

Personally, we had a roomba... Do not recommend. It didn't really do the job well and I often had to go after it myself
