I remember when I first benched 100KG, I thought I was a beast... "What you mean you curl 100KG"!!?! 😲
to be fair 100 kg is strong and a great goal. sure people are benching 120, 130 140 kg but whatever, you see not much people hitting 100 kg on a commercial gym. Most of them give up.
If you weighed 50 kg and benched 100, you WERE a beast. You need to see the bodyweights of the absolute world record holders. They are usually almost 200 kg! If you're 180 kg and bench 300, you are far less impressive to me than if you're 75 kg and bench 150. Also, strength is just one component of a sportsman. You should also be fast and have sufficient endurance. And last but not least, sport should be about improving your body, not ruining it. So you should stay natural, no PEDs.
Every time you top your PB you are a beast...
What you mean 😀😃😆😆😃😂😂😁😁😂😂😂😁😂😁😁
I loved the way you framed this
Remember that 95 to 97 % of men walking the earth can’t bench 100 kg. You were a beast !
225 kg snatch at that speed is insane. Strength+power.
Dude pulled that shit up as if it was his warm up.
75% technique
Lasha Talakhadze
@@krisbrag87 no. Technique is a must but then is all about strength and speed in a good balance. Lasha makes >300kilo squats and pulls look incredibly easy.
@@krisbrag87 ok bro I'll teach you the technique, and then you'll snatch 225 right?
Cyplenkov still holds that record. His form was absolutely perfect and he used the correct bar.
its the exact same as sumo vs conventional. if they allow it why wouldn't you use the easier grip.
@@thorwannabe6810 There should be 2 separate categories. Everyone with a brain knows Denis is the true record holder.
@@jayclean5653 ppl say the same about sumo. It'll never happen

Zydrunas was/is an absolute beast. He broke over 20 world records since first competing. Arguably best strong man ever.
I remember how he came in second in the 2004 World's Strongest Man. He was the only one to be able to squat 806 pounds that year. Absolute beast
for real, dude was a beast and i love his advice.
I agree big z was insane
not arguably, he was the greatest ever
my vote for greatest ever would have to be brian shaw or eddie hall considering their respective world records are so highly competed ub @@fbng
Eddie's axle press in comparison to Biby's is so impressive. Looked so smooth and effortless, and got an actual lockout, all with no leg drive.
While that may be so, If i remember correctly that was bibys third back to back attempt to get it and he finally got it. His jumping for joy combined with the crowd going absolutely nuts gave me happy tears.
@jumbo Eddie retired because his body was breaking under the stress he was putting it under, if he does come back to strongman, and I think he might, he won't be going up against the best or going for world records. He might go for another Britain's or something.
I think Eddie in his prime could have got 235-240 on the log, and given how smooth his 216 was I think he was good for 220-225 on the axle, but by the time he went for the log he was already crippled.
This just goes to show how great Z is, despite basically matching or exceeding Eddie on nearly every lift save the deadlift, Eddie was almost forced into retirement while Z's career has spanned decades and he is still competing at a world-class level at 47
@@coolhwip6638 it wasn't a good rep!
@jumbo You prolly all ready know, but he is he's coming back for the US the great Britain strongman competition.
@jumbo he is now
talakhadze's 225 snatch and eddie hall's 500 deadlift are just extreme. absolute feats of strength.
It's crazy how humans can reach this level of strength. Despite the majority of humans not meeting their full potential, there are people who can achieve this, and whether it be "natty" or not, you have to admit that these guys are built like rhinos and they deserve the rewards for the hard work they put in.
@@BRIMSTONE4444 hahahahhahahahahahahahahaha you think they are natty bro they even admit to takin the ped’d
@@BRIMSTONE4444 it would be physically impossible for them to maintain that much muscle, let alone stomach thousands and thousands of calories each day without supplements, they popping that shit like haribos, Also strongmen actually have way more impressive abs than bodybuilders (Tom Stoltman) their abs aren't for show, they are built to support crazy weights (including their own lol)
@@BRIMSTONE4444 lol
@@filipjanicki1268 it could be possibile for some. You need powerful and wide frame to being allowed to build a lot of muscles. 2nd thing is top strongest guys have myostatin dysfunction, so they can build quantity impossible to put on for average people. Yee but very likely they still use steroids.
@@BRIMSTONE4444 No one in this clip is natty. They are on PEDs for years..decades.
Zydrunas's austrian log press was pretty insane considering its only 50lbs shy of the 1 rep WR. He's truly showing them how its done

I deadlift 331lbs as PR and Mateusz got it over his head one handed in a dumbell... my god, humans are fucking strong.
as someone who struggles to lift more than 190kg deadlift, I find those man so incredible.. Some feats are unbelievable, like that circus 150kg dumbell lift
To be fair 190kg on a deadlift is still really impressive to me. You can be proud!
Stand Proud WebnewsCelebrities, you are strong.
Thank you guys. I beat my record and reach 200kgs few months ago. Your comments did help 👌❤️
Well done mate, you deserve it. ❤
pushing up 150kg on one shoulder is out of this world
even with the leg drive
Eddie’s technique on that Axel press was so impressive
What makes it so impressive was how little technique he used. Just pure raw strength.
I agree
Benedikt Magnusson 460kg raw - perhaps the most beautiful moment in strength sports. No wrist wraps, so smooth, so controlled, then eased it down gently like he was holding a baby.
That lift was INSANE. He moved to a house near to me, I see him sometimes when I go shopping. Huge guy.
Benny is the benchmark of how to deadlift
I live in the same town as Julius Maddox, he's a super humble/nice guy and does a lot for other people, glad to see him on here
Bill Kazmeir is still my favorite to watch. I wish I grew up when he was competing. The intensity and those eyes. Love him. Super nice fun guy as a commentator now too.
also almost killed his former teammate od wilson by being a giant cunt trying to block an opponent with a heavy barrell on his back pushing it off a slope
Just found out about him here for the first time. Was scrolling the comments looking for someone to mention this guy. This guy had such unbelievable control on his bench press. It’s not power lifting cheating type form in any way and he’s pressing 622lbs raw. Genuinely the most impressive bench press I’ve ever seen. More impressive than Maddox imo.
Recently started weight training, these lifts become even more impressive then. I'm proud of my 175lb bench and 225lb squat, lol. These guys are insane! First time I saw that 1015lb deadlift by Magnusson when he slowly put the weight down, it blew my mind.
175lbs bench is actually very insane. My bench never surpassed half of my squat. Hardest lift out of the big 3
He still has the raw deadlift record, all-round strength.
175 lbs or kg ? Massive difference?
@@Marcellus-ro4ko he literally wrote "lb"
Good for you on starting the lifestyle. Welcome brother!
How old are you?
i very much appreciate these kind of videos with all these records in different kind of strength.
but they should be in an order
that 225kg snatch is insane. Im a grown ass man and he just threw 4 of me in the air like it was nothing.
That Bill Kazmaier guys bench is unreal! The level of control is insanity.
Beni's 1000 pound dl without straps is still the best lift. Just how smooth he pulled it and how softly he put it down. Perfect.
And to have the grip strength to do that is crazy.
Benni's 460 kg lift is still the most impressive deadlift I've ever seen.
Krzysztof Wierzbicki did 500 raw with much less weight :)
Bennis 447 was amaizng at the end of a full meet the 460 was unweighed
@@waski9017 he also didn’t actually deadlift it, he sumo deadlifted it which not the same lift
Doesn’t mean it wasn’t impressive just not actually a deadlift
Apparently he wanted to go higher but the bar couldn’t hood it or they didn’t have the weights or something
Idk if it’s true just heard a rumour of it

7:03 I have seen it a few times but now I realize that Tom Stoltman is actually strong enough to pick a big male lion up! 273 kg with this Atlas Stone thing. I can`t imagine it!
That's seriously insane, I was proud lifting a 80 kg ball many years ago and now I look back its nothing lol
He lifts a 286kg stone at the start of the video
Lifting live specimens is not the same as lifting inanimate objects, that don't wriggle and are not trying to bite your face off.
@@KestalDoern 🤓
@@KestalDoern Yeah but he most likely could pick up an avarage female grizzly, a male lion, male tiger, or a lifestock cow if they are tamed.
Lasha is unbeaten in his sport🔥
He makes the sign of the cross every time, he basically has God on his side
@TheBrainn that is one of the dumbest things I've ever read.
Lasha is my favorite, but anyone who can walk out over 1000lbs on squat is an instant legend.
Lasha is beyond impressive. What a specimen!
5:53 how eddie managed to get 500kg a little over a year later, is easily the greatest feat of strength in human history. Broke the current record astronomically
i really wanna know whos gonna break that record i really hope its jamal browner cause that would be insane hes already pulled 500kg unofficially with no suit and he weighs at least 150lbs lees than eddie hall
@@ColtPinkyeveryone who matches or bests eddie wont be better. Stronger yes, but not more impressive. We need the next eddie hall to come out and set the stage with a good old fashion 600kg deadlift (1300 from 1100lbs)
@@Bryanseasthor apparently did 501kg but it didnt have anybody really official there
@@Shaunymac10 yes he did
@rangoo8136 fresh single lifts are cool and all, but Thor didn't do it in comp. Hall still owns the title.
All are crazy strong, but seeing Lasha snatch with such ease and confidence is so satisfying to watch
While all are impressive, Lasha Talakhadz blows my mind. There's really no comparing the snatch to any other lift, IMHO. Its the most athletic of lifting feats there is, and Lasha is not only the world record holder, he is by a rather large margin. Nevertheless, it isn't uncommon for this degree of dominance to break the dam and awaken competitors to what is really possible.
Snatch always struck me as the lift that you could seriously injure yourself on pretty easily. I don’t lift and I know you can hurt yourself on anything but I feel like if I tried to snatch something I’d actually end up in the hospital
@@jasonanno3881 Its much, much less dangerous than it looks.
True. All guys in the video are freakishly strong, but none of them could lift over half what Lasha lifts in the snatch. In fact, most of them can't physically get into the snatch position at all. Lasha's strength combined with his flexibility and technique is unmatched.
Zydrunas Savickas
Lithuanian legend💪
Walking out with 470 kilos is mad impressive. Bow down to Malanichev one of the greatest squatters ever
gotta consider what strongmen do when they do this farmers walk thing with 500kg on their backs + and some of them almost run with it
@@93BeefcakeLook at Hooper he literally Jogs with that weight
before somebody try’s to call me out i realize i’ll never even be a 1/7 of what these guys are but something about the raw record i think are much cooler. It’s crazy to see what they guys can lift without “assistance”
Zydrunus is in this over and over for multiple lifts. What a legend.
i dont know how but someone unsubed me from this channel, pure gold here as always

I came for the lifts and left for the music...
Eddie’s deadlift was performed on a deadlift bar and competition weights. Thors was performed on a elephant bar which is longer so it bends more giving the weight less travel distance
Thor did it on the exact same setup and with structer rules. dont comment on something you know nothing about. The elephant bar is at the Arnold, the 501 was on regular setup
Lasha's power-gut is the real MVP.
Cyplenkov is the current WR holder in the strict curl. The other fool didn’t do it correctly or even hold it in the correct spot. That person holds the WR in a DIFFERENT curl lift!! 😎👍🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Would have loved to see this in chronological order, still epic video though :)
490 raw squat is absolutely crazy
@jumbo Good thing your opinion is irrelevant LOL
"Belt is massive" same 13mm lever belt everyone uses, competition standard
"Thick huge knee wraps" LOL buddy those are sleeves, 7 millimeters of neoprene, competition standard
@jumbo always one of these guys. couldnt squat 100 kilos but criticizes a world champion. lmao dude get fucked
Okay so given these advantages they have why hasn’t anyone else replicated Rays 490 squat.
benedikt such a badass he set a world record deadlift stood there looked around the room then proceeded to slowly lower the weight as if thats 50% his max
If these guys were to compete in a powerlifting comp. they would win the comp. With only one event.
Truly mesmerising.
Do you realize some of the people are certified world strongest man in power lifter Competition ?
Im so glad these incredible humans exist. Truly the strongest men in the history of mankind. What a marvel to witness.

Nop
@@J.c410 Pretty sure it's still the "raw" record. Oops, never mind. I was mistaking this for Benni's thousand pound raw lift.
Eddie's was a competition lift whereas thors was done in his garage. I believe it should be labeled as such, both impressive feats of strength, but there is a difference.
@@christophercooke480 Haftor had stricter rules and every officials you could ask for. What eddie did had nothing to do with competitions settings, he got to choose all the weight jumps and all the resting times (wich is why Brian shaw did not enter the event). Arnold record brealers series, wus feat of strength series and giant live do that all the time
@J C it was still in a competition environment and rules were set in place for the competition, what Thor did was in a non competition setting. I am not saying what he did was not incredible, but that the situation was not the same and in most cases is labeled as such as I think this one should be as well.
Great video to humble up yourself. Seeing people doing snatch with your max deadlift weight pretty quickly reminded me how shit I am. Thanks, cause sometimes I forget about it

I grew up watching Kaz, so he’s still my favorite.

Pretty crazy that Thor did 501 easy, i saw it coming watching him work out to the lift...he did 400kg for reps like it was air.
If you squat or deadlift anything over 400kg you are a beast.
What's crazier is that Thor had a minor lat tear when he did the 501. The original plan was to deadlift 520 which I honestly believe he could have done.
@@gabbeskillz6262 Thats crazy! I don't doubt the 520 either.

@@Leon-fp3ci his dad weighed the plates on a weighing scale which was verified by Magnus Ver Magnusson, not like you'd know who that is. Are you implying that the weighing scales were rigged or could somehow bend to his father's will?
The deadlift was also planned way ahead of time, originally supposed to be at a WUS competition but COVID made it so that never happened. WUS then started the Feats of Strengths Series to keep up entertained which included lifts such as Oleksii Novikov's 100kg dumbbell for reps and Tom Stoltman's 286kg atlas stone, all of which were outside of competition as well.
The 501 also never happened at Thor's home gym, it happened at Thor's Power Gym which is quite a few miles away from where Thor lives and is open to the public, just as any other gym. Thor has a home gym which he used in preparation for the 501 and it looks completely different, not that you'd know since you clearly know nothing about Thor and just repeat whatever nonsense Eddie Hall says.
@@gabbeskillz6262 to add to this, the plates were weighed live on-screen (Eddie's weren't weighed at all), and Magnus was the guy who called one of Thor's reps on double-dipping on the viking press at 2017 World's, causing Thor to lose to Eddie by half a point.
