    Fantastic insights and perspectives on all these players. The only thing I wish for them adding to their ESPN First Draft presentation is to add some actual video reel and spec graphics on each player for which they refer. The average person absorbs 4x as much information visually versus audibly. Help us average people out Field. Thanks! :)

    According to the University of Washington Penix can run a 4.64/40 which is better than 80% of QBs in the NFL and he has a 38 inch vertical so he is far more athletic than many think. I think he is reluctant to leave the pocket due to his injury history.

    As a Pats fan with the #3 pick I’m very interested in the Drake vs. Jayden discussion. I don’t watch much college football and mostly just go off what people are saying. I hear a lot of people saying Jayden is the best QB in the draft and a lot of people saying he’s not that good. It’s scary because there’s usually only 1 really good QB in each draft, or 2 at the most. Sure hope my Pats pick well, they have enough problems to deal with

      Personally I would still want Drake Maye...I feel like Caleb Williams could be a star but also a problem in 4 years when he wants 50% of the teams salary cap or will hold out until you either pay him or trade him...with Jayden Daniels I worry that he has elite weapons that had massive YAC numbers that have made him look great when maybe he's just good...with Drake Maye I just look at his traits, age and character and what he did with lack of talent around him...plus I would also sit him his rookie year behind a good veteran whilst he learns the scheme and the team improves pass protection etc and then maybe play him in the last few games of the year with an eye on being the starter in 2025

      With your current offensive line you’d be getting Justin Fields lite instead of Lamar if you grab Daniels

    • @gamefacexxix
      @gamefacexxix 4 месяца назад

      @bza8910 And that precisely is what is needed. Someone that can still produce moving the chains when the bad O line can't protect the prototypical strong armed statue long enough to sling a ball 70 yards.
      The reason why Fields is failing and Lamar did not is because Fields is being forced to abandon that talent and instinctual gift of running ability in order to be strictly a pocket passer (behind you guessed it a bad O line). Harbaugh embraced Lamar's skill and his instincts. And as Lamar continued to move chains, he got more time on the field to process, analyze and wear out the NFL defensive tendencies. The time to get the NFL game to slow down for Lamar was dramatically reduced.
      NFL defenses usually bait rookie QBs. Daniels would be able to bait NFL defenses, if he has a coach wise enough to simply embrace what he brings to the field.

    This is weak surface level analysis. You can prefer Jayden Daniels but sacks are a big problem for him (terrible pressure to sack %), he hurts the OL, not helps it lol

    THESE DRAFT PROJECTIONS DON’T REALLY MEAN MUCH. BECAUSE THESE GUYS DON’T REALLY KNOW WHAT TEAM IS GOING TO PICK WHICH PLAYER AT WHAT EXACT ORDER RIGHT NOW. PROJECTIONS IS ONLY GUESSING. COACHING CHANGES COMING UP CHANGES THINGS. WHO WINS OR LOSES IN PLAYOFFS CHANGES THINGS. GAME REMAINING POSSIBLE INJURIES OR RETIREMENTS CHANGES THINGS. TOO MANY WHAT IFS.

    @3:24 this guy cant even get the physical measurements right - Drake Maye is 6ft4 to 6ft5...hes the largest of the top QBs this year!
    If he was 6ft3 no one would be comparing him to Josh Allen.

    For a reference of an athletic QB with mediocre arm strength and mediocre zip on the ball - Akili Smith, RGIII, Anthony Richardson. I’m not seeing how he succeeds. 205 lbs getting lit up by NFL LB’s……

    If you draft Daniels for his running ability you better have a good backup QB because he is going to get injured in the NFL. Daniels frame might not allow him to carry 215lbs like Lamar is and keep his explosive athleticism. Lamar ran less this year averaging less yards per game averaging 50 yards which allowed him to play in 16 games this year. Lamar instead passed the ball for more yards than he had before replacing those running plays with passes instead. Most teams in the NFL do not have an offense designed around a running QB.

      @@bizzo2g Ya, that’s what I hear. If I’m a GM, I wait til early third round and steal the quarterback that in five years will be the superstar. Maybe fourth round! But actually, I’d take him very late second, make sure I get him. He will rock. Spencer Rattler. Boom.
