Hi Scott, It’s definitely a super set but that seems to be the way they do things these days with a particular amount made and then high prices in the resale and second hand market! Thanks for watching!
Some of the missing apple's were released in the first wave back in 1992. I believe, those were the days, in concert 1972 and Maybe Tomorrow. Both LP's and CD's were issued back then.
Hi Michael, Yes indeed they were released back in that campaign from 1991 - 1996 , also including Wonderwall , Electronic Sounds & the best of Badfinger. I managed to buy pretty much all of them aa they came out on CD & Vinyl with some being deleted on the same day! They released them also on cassette and are probably the hardest to find in that format! Thanks for watching!
Thanks, Dave; I had never seen this set; thanks for showing. I'm sure it's difficult and expensive to find now. As far as LPs being released on different labels, in most cases, say Apple would still own the copyright to the record, but would lease the rights to another record company to issue it, for a certain period of time. I got that info from a friend at an independent company that does that with 60's lps. He said the terms of the lease are usually for a year of two, or for a certain number of copies.
Hi, Glad you enjoyed seeing this really fab box and I think it’s definitely getting expensive! Well, as long as Apple have total control , there’s always a chance we could still see some reissues of lesser seen albums! Thanks for watching!
This sure was a great box set . And you know I did not see this one out in the wild :). So yes lol I didn't get it so by seeing your video .... Let the hunt begin lol. I do have an Apple box set that is coming up in my new videos!!!! But this was great to see . All the best to you Dave and have a great week mate cheers!!!!!
Hi Brad, I remember ordering this and receiving it on release day! It’s a great set apart from the flimsy box! They are definitely about mate but can be costly! Now you’ve got me intrigued buddy! Stay well!
Howdy Beatles Dave, How you been doin'- there? What an awesome lookin' set !! You do continue to surprise, you do! Wud love get ; we'll ask Santa Claus- Ha! Reckon how much it's goin: for, these days? We did get this one thing, years ago. Got it at that groovy music store cousin Mike used to work at- he says work, but we used to joke that really they had more fun than work there. In hindsight, is a Good thang! I digress; it's called the 'Apple EP.' - but the thing is a maci CD.4 trax- do now believe was sampler from his incredible set you show us here. It's a cardboard granny smith one slides to open, pretty cool for our humble collection. Happy Holidays your way,BD., Hayward junior& family. 🌄🏠🤠
Hi Hayward, Not too bad here my friend, hope your equally well! Yep an absolutely super set , but these days can fetch around £300 GBP, sometimes less if you can get lucky! I’ve always wanted to work in a music store or a guitar shop or something like that , Mikes a lucky guy! I know the very Apple shaped Cd you’re talking about , it’s a fabulous item from 1991 to promote the Apple Campaign. Happy holidays back at you guys, Stay well !
Hello again Dave! It feels like it's been forever. This is an amazing boxset! I have been able to get my hands on the Best of Apple Records CD lossless rip. Now I'm looking forward to listen to all the rest. BTW, did you have a chance to check out the record fair in Netherlands a couple of weeks ago? It's said to be the world's largest.
Hi FBT, Yeh you’ve gotta love this set even with the flimsy box! Apple is such an amazing catalog of the most unexpected bunch of artists, never a dull moment! I’ve seen videos of that event and would love to go , I expect you can get any record you’ve ever dreamed of owning there! Stay well!
Great video Dave. I have the box. Sad it missed some Apple albums. I know that the Van Eaton album was released on cd, where is the elephants memory album???
Hi Edward, Thanks my friend! Yeh there’s so much more scope with an Apple Box , although we’ve had cd issues of Van Eaton , David Peel and El Topo, and an official download of the Raga soundtrack , but a few of them nothing ! Stay well!
Hi George, Yes, it’s just been rereleased on Dark Horse which I’ve recently purchased, don’t think a CD was issued thou aa haven’t seen one as yet! Thanks for watching!
Besides the main featured artists of Apple like Badfinger, Mary Hopkin, Billy Preston Jackie Lomax, & James Taylor, this set has some interesting experimental artists such as John Tavener, Modern Jazz Quartet, & Radha Krishna Temple. Apple definitely had an interesting array of artists.
Hi Dennis, It’s quite unbelievable the amount of diverse and even strange artists and recordings that ended up on Apple , even more strange stuff that didn’t get a release also! Stay well!
Hi Mark, Sadly not in 2010, but the early 1990’s campaign they issued all on Vinyl , Cassette & CD with the only exception of Those Were The Days by Mary Hopkin where it was only on CD. Thanks for watching!
Very nice box set! These sort of things never stay in print for long, alas…
Thanks Dave!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Looks to be an amazing set, wish I had bought this when first released.
Hi Sailor Sam,
Yes it really is fabulous with the minor quibble about the flimsy box.
They are still about but can be very pricey!
Stay well!
