      We have met quite a lot of Swiss people here. It would be interesting to know the numbers per country that have come in the past decade. You are an inspiration for us, having lived here for as long as you have.

      How is it regarding security? Do you live alone in a house and have no problems with criminals? I consider going to Latin America, either Paraguy, or Panama or Costa Rica, but I`m concerned about hearing from crime against foreigners.

      @@WolfF2022 Paraguay is the safest country I have ever lived in. That includes Australia and NZ. Is there crime? Of course, but you have to go way further to find it here than just about anywhere else. We live in a house, no problems. I have heard that there's been some break ins around here, but where isn't there? No-where I have ever lived.

      Hey Dave, I was just reading your blog and watching your vids. Great stuff. There's alot of things to unpack in regard to the whole crazy topic of moving to another country. I am just now working on a vid about that topic as I've seen quite a few 'travelers' losing their shit. On the topic of psychology, I wrote a short ebook about Conflict. I'm no Psychology expert but I have come up with a way of dealing with conflict that I know is effective. I know that topic has been done to death however I haven't seen anything quite like my approach. I imagine it's out there somewhere. Some time it would be good to catch up to discuss this and other mind numbing topics.

    Before you had the cedula, were you able to stay in Paraguay as long as you wanted by simply leaving and re-entering when your tourist visa ran out?

    • @ADirtCheapLifeParaguay
      @ADirtCheapLifeParaguay  22 дня назад

      We didn't do a border run. We have heard of people who have encountered problems trying to stay that way. I believe the country's perspective is that if people want to stay the should apply for residency. That's just our take on things. Thankfully the residency process is relatively simple and cost effective.

      Everything is doable! 🙂There are many larger families moving here - some together and some in stages.
      Parents quite often come and start setting themselves up for their children and grandchildren to come later. Some people come and get their residency and then head back and square things up in their home country and return.
      Lots of support here and a growing community of English speakers who are happy to help you - humanity at its best 🙂

      Where ever socialism has been social decay follows. NZ, Canada are shining examples of that. Down here that reality is glaringly obvious. Countries, side by side, one doing well and several others choking. No prizes for guessing what the main cause is.

    Hi Mate, hope you and your family are well. Got a question regarding money and banking. We are thinking about moving but unsure about funds and access to it there. Can you explain more on how you did this please. Especially from Australia. Do you use wise, resolut ect. Thank you.

    • @ADirtCheapLifeParaguay
      @ADirtCheapLifeParaguay  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hi, we are great thanks! 👍
      You can access your funds via the ATM (the limit is about $600 AUD per day) and paying using your cards is no problem. It's very much a cash society here but supermarkets and larger restaurants take cards.
      People quite often bring a lump sum of money (USD new $100 bills only) to buy a car with. We have multiple bank accounts in Australia & NZ and we do have Wise cards.
      Our advice is to get that all organised before you come and have multiple options to access your money in case you have problems with a card. Opening bank accounts and transferring large sums is another ball game and a bit too long to explain here. Please email us hola@adirtcheaplife.com and we can tell you more about it! 😊
