I work at mermaid at dca let me know if you want any real tips or tricks to cut in lines, get free food and Merch. RUclipsrs always tell you the same old stuff like fast pass secrets everyone knows. Here's a tip. If you want front row seats or passes or whatever go to a cast member and offer a 5$tip 3 times. We have to say no twice. 80% chance they'll bump you to front of line or row. Ask for Anthony at mermaid and I can walk you directly to front of line for world of color or get you the vip dining seats for free

It always amazes me that Disney has these intricate backstories that very few people even know. So cool to learn some of them.
Another fun fact about Batuu: it is mentioned briefly in “Solo: A Star Wars Story”. L3-37 tells Lando he couldn’t get to Black Spire without her.
I'm a former Jungle Cruise Skipper at Disney World and I always loved pointing out things that weren't in the actual script of the ride. Stuff like this just adds to the experience even if it's a few "secrets" people still love it.
I am totally loving the Fry Bucket walkthroughs. There is no magic at WDW without the Cast Members whether they are part of the immersion in the theme park or behind the scenes.

I chatted with the authors of the Black Spire novels and comic books when they came to sign at Galaxy's Edge. There is sooooo many details in the books that you can see in the land

Now I need to try the popgrains! Lots of good nuggets in this video but Im pretty sure that X-wing is not the one used in the show. Its a T-65 in Mando and a T-70 on Batuu, since thats what the Resistance used.

She mentioned Batu is located within the Outer Rim. So if my SW geography is correct, that puts it within a short trip of Dagobah and Hoth. They should remodel a section of it to resemble Hoth in the winter season so visitors can "travel" there. That would help tie in Batu with the rest of the SW universe. Also, it would be one of the easiest ways to better fit the theme and story. I just wish they would add more rides and at least build a replica of the dining booth where Han shot Greedo.
I'd rather have Tattooine
There's a nice large grass/tree section right across from the Star Wars section shown in this video. If you look at a map you can see it. It would be a great use of the land to expand the Star Wars section of this park.
We were lucky enough to be there opening day!! What a blast.

I don't believe it's the screen used one unless they just showed the cockpit. Mando had the full 4 engines on the wings. That one has the split variety from the sequel trilogy.

It is totally random! At least for the college program. Full time is a different story

FRY….There are so many storylines in Disney parks and rides. How would visitors know this information? For example, the information you provide about Batu and Olga. That information makes the area all the more interesting. AllEars should do some more of this.

I’m sure the people of Batuu at least remember that time Darth Vader and Admiral Thrawn showed up and started a bar fight.
1. Galaxies Edge should have ALL the Star Wars characters since the majority of the sequel characters (other than Kylo Ren or maybe even Rey) are not particularly popular. Mando and Grogu, Luke and Darth Vader, Obi Wan and Anakin, Han and Leia, R2 and C-3PO, Mace Windu and Yoda, Ashoka and Bo Katan, Bobby Fett, Finnic Shan and Cara Dune should all be there. All the Disney fantasy characters appear in fantasyland and they are in different “times”. Once they do that I suspect you’ll see even more people go to Galaxy’s Edge and it become even more popular.
2. Disney not messing with the timeline is what is causing Galaxy’s Edge to fail. Not a lot of people care for the sequel characters which is why their merchandising bombs.
3. If they aren’t messing with the timeline then why can you buy lightsabers from other timelines? Why is Mando and Grogu merchandise the top sellers?
4. Their decision not to include other timelines is just ego. They can’t stand the fact that the original and prequel characters are more popular than the ones they created in the sequels.
Yeah that would be really cool. The only character i seen when I went was Rey. i felt like i missed out on that, trip because I didn’t get the chance to see any other characters roaming around galaxy’s edge

I watched a guy get mad at a rise of the resistance cast member because he kept talking about movies. the cast member stayed in character and acted like he had no idea what he was talking about and the dude goes "whatever man it's not that serious".... why are you even here? Go to your star wars blog if you want to talk about the movies.

This is such a cute backstory . So if you work here and you’re a huge star wars fan do you have to “not know anything” ? 🤔 not nerding out with other star wars fans would be very hard lol.
So “technically,” no one on Batuu knows what’s happening off planet, so you can let the guests tell you! You do not have to be a Star Wars super fan to work in GE. It was SUPER fun to play along, and once guests realized I was acting “in story” they started playing along too. Some days I would act like I was team resistance, some days I acted like team first order. It was so fun to see how different guests reacted. I loved it! 🍟

I'm wondering if you would ever consider going back to work there and be a Star wars expert and give people the information they look for instead of people who are guests there having to tell someone who works there but Star wars. Don't you think they need to have people like that who are experts on Star wars.

As a Star Wars fan I found galaxies edge a to be a disappointment. But in comparison to the sequel trilogy, it’s a masterpiece
