A book accurate Arakh is basically somewhere between a scimitar and cavalry saber. I'm not sure what the Game of thrones prop department was thinking when they went with that weird sickle/scythe thing.
Great job! I'll be making one out of leaf spring soon. Itll take me a bit longer as I dont have a power hammer. The handle will be a nice tight grained african blackwood with polished brass inlay. It'll be fun.
Rock out with your stock out and beat it into an Arakh. Stuff always looks epic sir. Making my slow journey to teaching myself Bladesmithing. Starting with RR Spikes since they are easy and cheap to obtain. Made 4 dinky ones so far but it's a very cathartic hobby and I love it. Been to a junkyard and tried to find stuff but more or less hard to do when Im not 100% sure what Im looking for so it's been grab materials and run it against a belt sander I have and looking for sparks.
So I got a challenge for you, a while back you demonstrated on Tiktok that you've made Norse gold, could you make The Gualdur Amulet or Kyne's Token from Skyrim out of that material?
Attention all norce forge fans we must get him to 100,000 - around a 1,000,000 subs by the end of the year
Makes me want to rewatch the series
A true master at his craft
Have you seen those warriors from Hammerfell? They have curved swords. Curved. Swords!
I fuckin love it. And with the dragon at the end 👌🏻🥰
Its shape reminds me of a khopesh, which is a curved egyptian sword meant to disarm your opponent by hooking around the enemy's blade.
WHO IS THE MR MANS AT THE END OF THE VIDEO!?!?!
HE SO HECKIN ADORABLE GJWLHDKEBXJ
🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

Probably trying to have a more distinctive look.

Would a torsion bar be similar to work with as leaf spring I’m guessing?
God I want it but scared to know how much. Sent an email for a quote for a knife too haha
Looks very similar to the Egyptian Khopesh sword
A book accurate version according to George would be more like a scimitar or cavalry saber.

Looks awesome, out of interest how long did that take you start to finish?
About 8 hours or so
What is the name of the song that started at 04:48
Was hoping for the tactical fork…
