- Yamaha Tenere 700 replacing the original sparkplus for NGK Iriudium.
Detailed shots to see how to get to the Spark plugs indide the T7
Tips & trics how to do it and the tools to be used for the job.
Following my previous comment and for anyone contemplating doing this:
I have a small but quite well equipped workshop and with a lap top on my work bench, got set into the task of my plug swap.
I followed this tutorial step by step and you can be assured that every necessary step is covered.
I just have to say that I found the HT coils a lot harder to remove than Oumbouk Travel man did and had to make a little lasso from 6mm nylon rope so's I could wiggle the coil with my right hand while pulling upwards on the rope from the top.
Also, I found getting the cable holder removed then, later, back in place was a real fiddle.
All that being said though, this is a 1st class set of instructions and I recommend Oumbouk Travel Adventures method compared to some others that I considered on RUclips.
Many thanks on your kind words and out video helped you
Easy to follow covering every aspect of the procedure. Thanks! Saved me a lot of trial (and error)
This looks so complex. Can't even imagine doing this in a field 🙈
Thanks for a great tutorial!
Nice Video, thanks! Could you pls list all tools which are required for the Spark Plug change (length of Extension, magnetic sp-tool... ) and maybe a source/Link to be ordered. I've planned to change so myself. Thanks a lot, Michael
I only ordered the magnetic spark plug part. Others parts from my own toolbox. You can send me email and will reply with needed tools vandampeet(@)gmail.com
Hi! super congrats for video, May you said me if you have used NGK Iridium LMAR8BI-9 ?? May you said me the specific NGK model detail? thaaaankssssss
I do not know. Just iridium for T7
Vielen Dank für das Zeigen. Da werde ich etwas Zeit einplanen müssen.
Lift the dust seal on the coils and put a little wd40 on them twist it in a little this helps.
Thanks this was helpful.
thanks for the clip, so now I have an plan to do that 💪
Can u send the link for the spark plugs? There is alot of choices i get confused
Just take iridium doe T7 and is ok
Nice job, well done.
Are the iridium plugs specified by Yamaha, or are they to solve an ignition or wear problem?
They last longer
@@OumboukTravelAdventures super leuk! Ik ben benieuwd naar de video😁 thanks👍
How long would you say it takes from start until finish?
When you have done it once the second time can be in one hour
When you have done it once the second time can be in one hour
Thanks 🙏
All nice and stuff, but what about rebuilding the bike? Would have been nice to show that as well.
Good video! Thank you.
Thanks for this great video!
Sorry, what misure (mm) for magnetic sparke tool?
14mm
Sei stata Molllto utile, grazie
Where did you find that small top case? :D it looks cool!
That small topcase is 20 years old from Oxio
where to find spark plug key? tks
Google magnetic spark plug tool
@@OumboukTravelAdventures thks a lot
this much labor and fine workmanship, yamaha should have thought of another way to do this, a hinge to the tank, a lock or the bolts holding the hinge mechanism, remove them just like the head part of the trucks 😃 but still I will do it myself nice video thanks
Uff thats not a thing of 10 Minutes :D Thanks for the Video
Really good!
This is nothing. Some years back my buddy called me to help him change plugs on his Kawasaki Z800e. Turned out the whole engine had to be lowered from the frame to access the plugs! In the end he took it to the dealership to do it. Some engineering geniuses there at Kawasaki
I am impressed…but sh!t what a process 😳
This is a LOT of hassle to just replace 2 spark plugs. I had thought that it would be simple on a parallel twin.
I can hardly wait until Royal Enfield makes an ADV bike using its 650cc air/oil cooled engine. The spark plugs
on that bike will be much easier to replace.
With the new spark plugs only every 60.000 km and 1 hour so not big problem.
A other video that skips and edits the hard part of the removal of the coils. Check out my upcoming video of how to easily remove them and the spark plugs with just a standard 14mm socket.
Where is it then?
for xtz 750 is 18 nm power
Leuke video's zeg
Looks very easy compared to y old KTM 1190 adventure 😂
Excellent RUclips that convinced me NOT to buy a Tenere !!!
Easy compared to KTM 😂😊
Taking whole bike apart to change two spark plugs.
That's why peoole buy a Motoguzi ☝️🤣
