My last visit with JWs had 2 older modest women catching me outside taking my dog out! They had their fliers,their bibles and we commenced to talk about the love of Jesus Christ! I didn't give them my speech about the sealed 144,000 from the tribes of Israel ! One lady asked me if she could read me her Bible and I said Ok.but only the King James Version which shook her up so much she couldnt find her verses on the phone! The other lady was asking about the End of Days and being with Jesus!! I told her I have an unshakable faith and thru repentance of my sins,faith and believing in Jesus Christ that whatever happens to my human body that in the end I will be with Jesus Christ!! We serve an Awesome Almighty God!!! These two ladies have never been back! I wanted them to come back so I could continue to tell them of the gift of Salvation thru Jesus Christ our Lord!!

Even as parents who have taught the Gospel, sought to walk it out before them and presented and defended a Christian worldview and have been faithful to take our children to church faithfully we still have 1 child who has searched after anything else to worship (mostly self). We continue in prayer and presenting the gospel and a Christian worldview to her and our other children.

Of course she was in total denial with me. I'm a Christian n that as of June this year, 2024, will have been living for our Lord for 41 years. I've had my ups n downs, but I'll Never turn my back on Him..ever. anyway, I PRAYED N PRAYED TEARS OF ANGUISH N PLEADING JESUS TO BRING HER OUT OF THIS. AT FIRST I WAS DEVESTATED BUT AFTER PRAYING...HE GAVE ME THE MOST CONFIDENCE I'D EVER HAD FROM HIM BEFORE. "PRAY..BELIEVING..AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE". I ALREADY HAD FAITH. WELL..WHEN PHYSICALLY I WOULD WATCH ALL THIS MESS IN ACTION I WOULD JUST SAY..LORD, I KNOW YOU HAVE THIS N I'M BELIEVING YOU FOR A FULL BLOWN MIRACLE. Same here. But we only have one child. She's currently 44. Says she's a christian, but I can't see the fruit. I've seen the opposite. But as of current I don't know. She lives 500 miles from us. We don't get to see her. She has 3 daughters. The oldest is 22 and living with her boyfriend. I'm sure she doesn't have a relationship with the Lord. She went to Christian school K thru 12, so she knows the truth, just doing what she wants. The other one is almost 13, and has an 18 yr old boyfriend whose from a christian home. He's suppose to be a christian. They go to church. But I don't agree at all on the age thing. Not sure if she is really saved either? The 3rd one is 5 yrs old. She's attending a christian school as well. The 13 yr old attended christian school but is homeschooling through a christian based online homeschool. Hopefully with the influence of christian schooling seeds have been planted. The 22 yr old also attend Southern Westlyan University and recieved a BA in Forensic Science. Trying to get a Masters, thing she wasn't to work in counseling young children. My greatest concern is just that they will be true to God and His will. So I just keep sending up the prayer.😊

I went to AA everyday three times a day for the first 3 months of my sobriety. Now I attend once every year or two. I had to get out of AA cuz people kept on telling me that I was going to get drunk if I did this or that. I don't think AA is a Cult but there are definitely groups that act cult like. I actually was reading up on this to speak to the missionaries who come by, but thays different than speaking to a good friend. You may very likely lose the friendship. I wouldn't start the discussion unless you've really studied why and where theyre wrong using the bible. But they generally just default to it wasnt translated correctly. You cant exactly argue with someone who refuses to believe the bible is the factual word if the Lord. Most are not open to the discussion, its their whole life. Was she raised in it? I grew with many of them and ao many if the gals i knew didnt really believe but never wanted to question anything, just didnt ever want to ruffle feathers and then they just continue going to church cause its what they and their families do, if that makes sense. Just telling you my experience, praying for you to have the holy spirit help you.
When I was about 12 or 13, I went to a Jehovah’s Witnesses church with a friend from school and her family. It was strange compared to the ßaptist church I was raised attending. My parents never read the scriptures. They saw no conflict in allowing me to attend a JW church, because they didn’t know God’s Word. You don’t want your child exposed to false doctrine if they have been raised in a church with sound doctrine. My daughter had a Mormon friend from school, and I didn’t mind them hanging out, but I refused to let my daughter attend any Mormon church affiliated functions. I think the parents of the Mormon girl were upset I wouldn’t let my daughter go to their church function. I’m sorry, but my children have received Christ and they were taught the truth, that Jesus Christ is Almighty YHVH in the flesh, God incarnate, and the true gospel of saIvàtion by faith in the redemptive work of Christ on the cross ALONE, which produces good works through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit, works that glorify YHVH, but add nothing to a believer’s righteousness, because none of us have ANY righteousness God accepts, *NOT ONE.* (Romans 3). JW & Mormons BOTH deny the deity of Christ, and they both believe you must earn your saIvatiòn with works for righteousness. “Mormons” or members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints absolutely do NOT believe they can “earn” their way to heaven. We are saved by GRACE, just as you have said. Good works follow those that believe in Christ, and LDS members do LOTS of good works because they love God and their fellow-man. Several missionaries from this cult came through my city (Corpus Christi, TX) a few months ago. A few guys in my men’s group mentioned that they had some interactions with them. Since I had already done quite a bit of research on this group over two years ago, my pastor had me teach the men’s group about them. Fortunately, the missionaries didn’t stay in our city very long. I guess they learned that Corpus Christi means “Body of Christ” and decided to move on. 😆

People just want easy answers to their questions about their existence. The don't want to do the hard work of studying the Bible. They 'reap what they sow' and therefore achieve little and are misled proving that "if you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly."

A good resource on some of these cults, especially mormonism is a series that debuted in the 1980s called The Pagan Invasion with Carol Matriciana and Chuck Smith. It was very educational for Christians who wanted to learn about other cults and importantly, how to save others inside of them. You can find the series for sale in Christian book stores and online. Really gave me insight as a teenage Christian.
The problem with trying to "save" Mormons is that their church is run better than everyone else's. They won't leave their church to join a standard evangelical strip mall church that can't produce the same results.

I think I have a family member that is in a Hebrew Israelites cult in Tennessee. She divorced her husband of over 20 years and says she can't be with him because he's not "covenanted". When I press her on her new belief system, she can only say "Rabbi knows the truth". She's referred me to videos that have been removed before I can watch them.
There are very, very few Christian Science congregations around any more. There is one near where I live (You’re not thinking of Scientology, instead?) While there may be genuine born again believers in a SDA congregation, it’s definitely not one that I would ever recommend people going to if they were looking for a church home.

Ran into one of those Auditors on the street 20 years ago and I realized their "2 metal cans" device was simply a machine that reads your galvanic skin response. I would ever so slowly relax my grip on the cans as he asked me questions about my life. I saw him constantly adjust the device after each question. I understood their gimmick was to create anxiety and they could help you by urging you into scientology. I just told him about my belief in Jesus Christ and the hope he gives me. He was flustered that the machine wasn't giving the result he or his organization wanted. I told him there was a better way, no metal cans needed. He seemed pretty stressed himself. I saw him a week later smoking cigarettes like a chimney and he didn't even recognize me. He seemed sad himself 😢.

AT FIRST I WAS DEVESTATED BUT AFTER PRAYING...HE GAVE ME THE MOST CONFIDENCE I'D EVER HAD FROM HIM BEFORE. "PRAY..BELIEVING..AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE". I ALREADY HAD FAITH. Same here. But we only have one child. She's currently 44. Says she's a christian, but I can't see the fruit. I've seen the opposite. But as of current I don't know. She lives 500 miles from us. We don't get to see her. She has 3 daughters. The oldest is 22 and living with her boyfriend. I'm sure she doesn't have a relationship with the Lord. She went to Christian school K thru 12, so she knows the truth, just doing what she wants. The other one is almost 13, and has an 18 yr old boyfriend whose from a christian home. He's suppose to be a christian. They go to church. But I don't agree at all on the age thing. Not sure if she is really saved either? The 3rd one is 5 yrs old. She's attending a christian school as well. The 13 yr old attended christian school but is homeschooling through a christian based online homeschool. Hopefully with the influence of christian schooling seeds have been planted. The 22 yr old also attend Southern Westlyan University and recieved a BA in Forensic Science. Trying to get a Masters, thing she wasn't to work in counseling young children. My greatest concern is just that they will be true to God and His will. So I just keep sending up the prayer.😊

I actually was reading up on this to speak to the missionaries who come by, but thays different than speaking to a good friend. You may very likely lose the friendship. You cant exactly argue with someone who refuses to believe the bible is the factual word if the Lord. Most are not open to the discussion, its their whole life. Was she raised in it?

When I was about 12 or 13, I went to a Jehovah’s Witnesses church with a friend from school and her family. It was strange compared to the ßaptist church I was raised attending. My parents never read the scriptures. They saw no conflict in allowing me to attend a JW church, because they didn’t know God’s Word. You don’t want your child exposed to false doctrine if they have been raised in a church with sound doctrine. My daughter had a Mormon friend from school, and I didn’t mind them hanging out, but I refused to let my daughter attend any Mormon church affiliated functions. I think the parents of the Mormon girl were upset I wouldn’t let my daughter go to their church function. I’m sorry, but my children have received Christ and they were taught the truth, that Jesus Christ is Almighty YHVH in the flesh, God incarnate, and the true gospel of saIvàtion by faith in the redemptive work of Christ on the cross ALONE, which produces good works through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit, works that glorify YHVH, but add nothing to a believer’s righteousness, because none of us have ANY righteousness God accepts, *NOT ONE.* (Romans 3). JW & Mormons BOTH deny the deity of Christ, and they both believe you must earn your saIvatiòn with works for righteousness. Their false Christ and false gospel has no power to save ANYONE, and in the scriptures YHVH forbids us to have fellowship with unßelievers, which anyone who denies Jesus is the Most High YHVH in human form, and they deny His shed ßIood is sufficient to savè without their faIlen works for righteousness added to it, is a false ßeliever, a tare, according to scripture.

Several missionaries from this cult came through my city (Corpus Christi, TX) a few months ago. A few guys in my men’s group mentioned that they had some interactions with them. Since I had already done quite a bit of research on this group over two years ago, my pastor had me teach the men’s group about them. Fortunately, the missionaries didn’t stay in our city very long. I guess they learned that Corpus Christi means “Body of Christ” and decided to move on. 😆
They are for sure out there. In VA beach for years they scour the entrances of big box stores as you walk in. Fiercely present their views with one maybe two source citations from Revelation. I’ve had a few discussions with them, but they are predators and wolves. They are discipled by horrible hermeneutic standards and build an entire philosophy off of weak unbiblical ideals. I’ve Heard that there’s some cult like control and oppression in those groups of the women who enter after thinking it was a “liberating Theology” for themselves.

People just want easy answers to their questions about their existence. The don't want to do the hard work of studying the Bible. They 'reap what they sow' and therefore achieve little and are misled proving that "if you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly."

A good resource on some of these cults, especially mormonism is a series that debuted in the 1980s called The Pagan Invasion with Carol Matriciana and Chuck Smith. It was very educational for Christians who wanted to learn about other cults and importantly, how to save others inside of them. You can find the series for sale in Christian book stores and online. Really gave me insight as a teenage Christian.
The problem with trying to "save" Mormons is that their church is run better than everyone else's. They won't leave their church to join a standard evangelical strip mall church that can't produce the same results.

Go to the source. Read the Book of Mormon, listen to this last General Conference (April 2024), or any General Conference, for that matter. What a privilege it was to have seen and listened to a prophet of God speaking to me! God is not dead and His Church is not dead. God speaks to men on earth through His prophets and apostles just as He did in the Old and New Testaments. Ran into one of those Auditors on the street 20 years ago and I realized their "2 metal cans" device was simply a machine that reads your galvanic skin response. I would ever so slowly relax my grip on the cans as he asked me questions about my life. I saw him constantly adjust the device after each question. I understood their gimmick was to create anxiety and they could help you by urging you into scientology. I just told him about my belief in Jesus Christ and the hope he gives me. He was flustered that the machine wasn't giving the result he or his organization wanted. I told him there was a better way, no metal cans needed. He seemed pretty stressed himself. I saw him a week later smoking cigarettes like a chimney and he didn't even recognize me. He seemed sad himself 😢.
