I bought the 21 Number One Hits album a few years ago. This is a song I never paid much attention to growing up but since I bought the album it has become one of my favorites.

Thanks Carlene for the great request from Kenny Rogers. Rogers wrote the song with Thom Schuyler, David Malloy and Even Stevens. He released this in 1982 as the title track from his albums of the same name. It was also the theme song to Kenny's movie 'Six Pack'. The song reached #1 on the country and adult contemporary charts. It also reached #13 on the pop charts. Thanks for the reaction Don. You must react to Kenny's "The Greatest" such a positive song
@jcat__ I did "The Greatest" about five years ago. It was the second song of Kenny's I reacted to, and have since done about ten more.

Another beautiful song written and performed by Kenny Rogers! Out of all his songs (500?) he only wrote 5 of them. One of my favorites (that he wrote) is a reaction you did of Dolly Parton and Allison Krauss singing - "Sweet Music Man." His live performances are good, but I'm stuck on listening to his studio release. As soon as I can rub two $10's and a $5 together, I'm going to make a gift and request it. I know you're a HUGE Kenny fan, so my prediction was easy. :-) I reacted to "The Greatest" about five years ago, as the second reaction to Kenny I ever did on the channel. This song is played allot on the area Classic Country Station. Have you ever reacted to Kenny's song "20 Years Ago" before Don? I think that came out in the early 80's. So it now would be like at least 40 years ago, the 20 years referenced in the song making it 60 plus years ago. By the way, Kenny had a duet with Holly Dunn called "Maybe" about 1988 or 1989. Kenny actually approached Holly about recording the Duet. She was very flattered that Kenny Rogers would want to sing with her. Have yet to find anyone who has reacted to that song, or Holly's Grammy Nominated duet from 1987 with Michael Martin Murphy called "A Face In The Crowd" which was a consensus Top 5 hit. Both these songs are really forgotten and seem to be getting ignored by reactors. Holly in general deserves allot more reactions.
