I really like Phil because he's not as stupid as Alan and not as worried and nerdy as Stu. he's a married guy, father of two and a teacher, he's responsible and always tries to keep things under control, but he he also knows how to have fun even in the worst moments, he has a hint of Alan and Stu's personality
Exactly my thoughts. Hes no doubt had to deal with little shits testing his limits at work many a times hence why hes always been the most calm and collected member of the crew in the big moments, particularly when it comes to dealing with Alans antics and Stus tendencies to freak out or overreact
Phil is a father and a middle school teacher, probably have seen a lot of shit in his daily life, so when things got out of control, he was always like “ok, calm down everybody, we’re gonna handle it” and was always checking up on the guys “are you okay?”, love this character for been such a “father coded” very sweet, very funny and still kind of responsible in a way
