Majority of palas will go human so with an abundance of swords/maces 3% hit will be the target. Best plan is to target 3% and have some good +hit pieces like trustrike shoulders in your bags when u end up using axe. Also about weapon swing - command is better with slower weapon but by how much vs seal of righ. or even seal of the crusader? Those questions wont be answered until classic is out and u can test it close to 60. All data from pserver is basically usueless for this. Example: with seal of command: 50dps 3.8 wpn is better that 50dps 2.6wpn speed. But by how much and if 2.6 wpn is 53dps? Whats better then. Weapon speed, 3 dps seals we can use, scaling of +spell dmg on gear with ret spells - all those questions are open to test. Solid video overall.

Ice Barbed Spear is a very great polearm which can last you quite a while and is very easy to get. Also, The Unstoppable Force is probably one of the strongest options there is, but this one will probably take some time. Good video nevertheless :)

Subbed, Milloh I have a request about Nightfall I'm new to Ret raiding I have a spot and I'm curious about grinding for this weapon. I've read it won't be available until phase 3. And the debuff only lasts 4-5 seconds with a low proc chance. Is it worth the mats, rep grind, and time? Would it just be more viable as pve ret to use a more suitable dps weapon for overall more dps? Is it necessary to down content and is overrated? And also does Vindication work on bosses? I don't want to waste time on this weapon if it's simply overrated. Could you make a video or reply to me on Nightfall and if it's worth it for ret pve? Nick Coleman Hi! Yeah it’s funny that you asked because I’m actually working on a video discussing Nightfall! It’s an interesting subject so I’ll try to go into detail about it in the video, but i do think it is a little bit over-rated, however it is still a fairly decent asset for a raid.

I got to 60 a month and a half before server shutdown when everyone is in Naxx/AQ40 gear...and I was paladin tanking in dungeon blues... granted my healers were usually decked out too..but with the right consumes and preparation...I was able to hang in there and it was invaluable practice. Don't worry about what other people might tell you...about it's not able to be done or is not optimal...We know some of these specs and damage numbers are not optimal but is it viable..yes.. is it challenging...yes...is it fun...yes(except for those melee dps waiting on you to drink up before a pull when their rage is ticking down... I can't tell you how many times I heard the following "that wen't better than I expected".... Just stay positive and you'll be able to achieve some pretty unique and interesting things on a game that is over 15 years old.
You cant shine as paladin if you are not healer. As hybrid class pally need every single stat,so removing str for spell power is almost same shit,pure classes have only one primary stats,so they doesnt need to sacriface one stat for another. You can only hope that you will find some guild where you can be main and only ret in raids.
Arcanite Champion is a really good alternarive to Arcanite Reaper as well with the procs going off quite often when using your seals. It's 120 str buff so a little bit lower than Destiny, but it's slower at 3.0 speed and has higher base damage, and on top of it all the heal on proc can put some weight off your healers or yourself when you take chip damage.
Golag Is watching you , brain hacker is actually pretty nice for SoR! I have one and I use it when I’m going for spell damage stacking! If you are going more of an AP Ret, I would grab a slower 2h weapon, but if you can afford it, just getting an upgrade is nice to help get into raids!
Your title and your thumbnail are 2 different topics. Most (not all) ret pallys with casual playstyle will have a really hard time finding raid spots in mediocre raiding guilds. You won't "just" need bis items. You need to be the nice guy of the guild, helping everyone and bring tons of consumables to a raid. From what I've seem and read, having bis increases your bad chances of consistently raiding a slight bit but more does being the cleansing Nightfall swinger. Don't get me wrong, I like your content and will play a 20/31/0 hybrid pala specc myself, but peopwill need to know about the obstacles playing a so called meme specc.
@@Viking8008 I recommend staying away from Exodia, he doesnt really do REAL tests, while its fun to exhibition super top end stuff, staying within the realm of possibility is more important.
This is one thing that seriously annoys me about this game, the devs obviously didn't put a lot of thought into the armor stats when plate wearers have to put on cloth and leather, not sure I can play end game because of this, might just quest and treat it like an rpg for awhile and craft my own gear so I don't look like a clown, I saw the pre-raid bis for Holy Paladin and it looks like complete and utter garbage, I realize you get sets eventually but even then pieces are replaced by other pieces of armor that don't belong.
None of this has int on it so for this paladin it’s trash. A good paladin is nothing if they dont embrace their hybrid nature. You are never going to be typing dps charts anyway if that’s what you care about.
@@Milloh Ret meta has changed in Classic. You can get away being a wannabe warrior, because entry raids are easy and theres room for carries as long as you have the key spots covered, but its not the optimal. Spelladin builds do more dps while having the mana to support the raid given the case.
HaleftHaut definitely spelladin is very good! This was aimed towards AP Ret obvi, which I do believe is good in its own right. I personally use a bit of a hybrid build currently! More heavily AP than SP though. However I do have sets for both.

HoJ drops off of Angerforge in BRD. Being human, using a sword or mace will be better dps than an axe or polearm of similar dps.

It is completely viable at phase 6, but most of those items are unobitainable

I will be playing a deep ret, but I know what I'm getting myself into. With that said, you're absolutely right.
My ret pally is here for pvp. If I raid on my pally it's because the raid is on farm and me being there is no problem.
