"Learning To Fly" is a song by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. It was written in 1991 by Tom Petty and his writing partner Jeff Lynne for the album Into the Great Wide Open. Though the entire song is based on only four simple chords, (F, C, A minor, and G), it has an unusual cadence and structure and became a top hit for Petty.

Excellent tribute Master Constantine.
I am overseas and I have to say the impact of Mr. Petty's death has yet to resonate to me because hearing songs like this as a tribute is keeping him alive. I am still learning to fly at the ripe age of 42! I appreciate that you did this song as a tribute Mr. Petty!
I will be making my first attempt at singing and playing bass. I've chosen this song and your charts to help me. I read that Tom Petty was inspired by a pilot, who said the hardest part about flying a plane was coming down from the air. He also said, "I don't say that I can fly - I'm learning. Also, we're expected to do a lot of things that we're not necessarily equipped for."
