    You are basically my bass instructor and yet we have never met. Through your outstanding covers such as this one, I have learned to play bass fairly well. Thank you so much Constantine! I am truly grateful.

    Excellent choice.. the Bass line really makes the song so great.. It was a awesome tune to start the 80's with. I still can remember the lead singer Mike Reno and those shiny Red pants he would wear. LOL.
    Cheers.

      Right on point!. So many songs are made great songs by the distinctive Instrumental parts of the song. Most of the time we know the song after a few notes are hit.

    Just got a bass and started learning this song. Been playing guitar for ages so more comfortable with a pick but holly crap the strings are miles apart. Now I understand why bass is typically played with fingers

    Excellent as usual Constantine! I like how you use your thumb on the E string. The bass line sounds easy but once I saw you nail it, I don't know if I should even attempt to try and learn it. Keep on rockin' and posting your great covers!

    My second song to learn on the bass.. I have been playing guitar forever. I know the fretboard, I am just trying to figure out how to use my picking fingers and thumb! Great video as it really helped me out! THANKYOU!

    • @ConstantineIsslamow
      @ConstantineIsslamow  Год назад

      I really don't think about my thumb. I find it easier for me to mute the string after hitting the note with my thumb so my hand does not need to change positions so playing the octave feels comfortable for me. Cheers and thanks for the support.

    Constantine, What are you doing to caused the main music to drop out when you come in? Because I'm trying to do the same thing as an electric guitar player because people cannot tell me apart on certain songs. You nailed it especially with the grunge. Don't ever stop your videos I have a special request the song bad company from self titled album bad company.

    • @ConstantineIsslamow
      @ConstantineIsslamow  3 года назад

      If I look at my mixer, I have the audio from the song set at 50%. I have my bass signal set at around 75%.
      sometimes the signal from my bass is too much and really cuts out the original music a bit more than I wanted. Always best to watch while wearing headphones.

      @@ConstantineIsslamow Thank you very much for the clarification. Normally when I play I run the aux cable out of the phone to the Guitar amplifier and blend. I just like how that sounded on your end. Great video

    an interesting technique. Was it hard to master?

    • @ConstantineIsslamow
      @ConstantineIsslamow  8 лет назад +3

      +Krieghandt Using my thumb came very earlier from learning from a classical guitar book. The thumb is called (P), so that is really how it started. Works really good when doing triplets also. Cheers

      Though Constantine seldom spoke much and was rarely ever on time, when he finally did enter the room he could illicit more confessions from criminals than any other detective in the entire bureau. His stress reliever is music. He has talent that inspires, yet calms.
