Awesome. I tend to agree with dad but when we were kids we would’ve agreed with the young man. I think what dad likes the most is the son taking pride into something he likes and being willing to share that with the old man (who is not old by the way) just a term of endearment. We all work on life’s moments in stages and they are at 2 different stages of life and if the young man was into the same thing the dad is now then he would not have experienced the youthful side of his hobby. He will out grow this in time and eventually come to be more like his dad in time but at least he will have a story to tell and remember of this stage of life. Both are doing it right - they are together and that’s the best part.

Lots of old school guys don't make that connection. 9000rpm, and 120hp per liter coming out of my S2000 is clearly a high performance engine. Porsche gt3 rs also has a small engine and it makes 500hp NA out the box. A yamaha r1 motorcycle is 200hp with an engine the size of a shoebox, while most v8's from the 80s were barely 195hp. There has been powerful engines that are small. It's about hp per liter and valves per cylinder too

Actually he’s right. I have been tuning cars for as long as I can drive. The two step for everyday driving is terrible for your cars engine. Yes it makes it a little faster but if your not racing then it’s no point. Your wasting gas your building up carbon your burning out you turbo faster and for emissions your doing a lot of harm for your filters. It’s really not worth it. Do I like the two step yup. Would I do it to my car, nope. But hay that’s not the reason you tune cars. It’s to make them your own, then power to you.

I’ve always been a hot rod type of guy my son Got a 99 Honda accord LX with a 2.3 L Four-door car , he put a coupe frontend ,bumper lip ,17” wheels , he put Wisco pistons and rods a huge turbo switched out the automatic transmission and put a manual. And he smoked one of my friends that has a super charged big block engine car and now I’m building a Honda Accord and I making a rear wheel drive with 4 four-cylinder out of a 240 Nissan with a manual transmission and it’s all his idea hopefully it’s fast when we’re done
