I used to listen to this song and cry myself to sleep when I was going through my divorce. That part, “they say if you love something you have to let it go and if it comes back that it means so much more but if it doesn’t at least you would know that it was something that you had to go through to grow” always broke me down. Fast forward 7 years and we got remarried and getting ready to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary (11th is you count the first 6). And Heather is right, it means so much more now! Heather Headley is so underrated. I know that she's won a TONY award from Broadway plays, but I wish she got more recognition as an vocalist/artist.
