I liked this escape, but when I did the second position some people told me not to do that cause it could hurt my knee.Perhaps I did it wrong, but I'm not sure if this can cause any damage to my knee.
Not dangerous if done correctly. Make sure to engage your core and hips so you can point your knee down (the leg under control), as you go to your knees spinning out and escaping. What you DON'T wanna do is try to spin out with that knee still pointing up, that could cause problems. As long as you point your knee down you are good to go. This is also a common escape from single leg takedown.
