To disable an individual track from chasing notes (fx track or drums for example), set the track to "No Transpose" in the track inspector, and in the Chase-dialog (video @1:17) make sure "Notes:No Transpose instrument" is not selected. Furthermore, since it's a Project setting you can save the preference in your template, so you don't have to switch it on with every new project.

I have a weird question. I have recently started converting an old live recording ( the drums ) from which I only had Kick, Snare, and two Overheads microphones into a MIDI track for Steven Slate Drums 5.5. Since I had a Kick and Snare track separately it was easy to convert those with drum replacer. But as for the toms, which there are 6 and all of the cymbals I am having to listen to the two OH tracks and trying to get the MIDI notes at the right spot. My question to you is there a way to get the playhead to move to the next MIDI note so I'm not having to keep dragging it with my mouse. That way I can paste the Hi Hats and Cymbals in time with their corresponding snare or kick hit?
This works great for me in the timeline but not in the live loops. If I create a 4 bar live midi loop and try to start it at 1.1 and loop it at 2.1 to get a continuous drone when it cycles back, the playback stops. So does chase only work in the timeline?
will this poss fix the issue of first note also note playing when using count in ? Know people have said becuase its played ahead of first beat but , even if hit right on beat note appears to be played shortly before resulting in no playback

For example, if it is a drum loop (something like Action Strikes or Damage etc..) it plays it out of sync (signature) if I press play in the middle of the note. The only way I found to "fix" it is by freezing the track, which is not the point, I guess. Hope an early update will bring this feature.

I know there’s a dial in Drummer, and you can modulate the open hat with a midi wheel on A keyboard (GM+ hi hat setting) but there seems to be no way to program a half open hi hat in piano roll? (In: (MIDI → capture → notes → sustain) the midi sequences do not need to be played from the beginning but they do not respect the chord sequence, since the tonic chord always sounds first, messing with the rest of the instruments) I hope it will have understood!
Would love this, but in my version of Logic (10.7.4) I don't have the Chase tab (or Clip Length, come to that). Has this feature been removed? I see this video was three years ago so an earlier version of Logic.

Check 'Project settings' in the file tab rather than the overall Logic settings
