People say the money could have gone to the poor. But think like this, so many industries and people are involved in making the space program a reality. Materials procured from indigeneous manufacturers pays salaries for a lot of people and also boosts these sectors. The money also goes into salaries of all the people involved like the scientists, technicians, mechanics, labourers, vendors etc. Success in a mission means that more investments come in and these jobs are retained or more jobs are created. There is also potential for technology to be shared or sold to other countries to boost revenue. Earth's resources are also being depleted and perhaps 100 years down the line our country can mine resources in other planets rather than rely on other countries. The potential benefits is infinite.
People who say their tax money is being wasted first of all pay tax not because they want to but because they have to. We need to remember that the space mission is also funded by taxes paid by the corporations and people who are directly being paid for the mission.

The comment on India 🇮🇳 is very genuinely deserved and appreciated. The Indians are the future of this world. Nobody can stop them it is simple equation 1.3 billion people on the face of the earth will move like a Sunami in every field. Simple political and policy changes will make things go fast. India will be the center for technology and science. Once India conquers poverty and build the infrastructure like China did; the great Indian people will liberate the world for good. I originally came from Horn of Africa all my high school teachers were Indians. They were very intelligent in every field particularly maths and science.

He is not the guy who lived in India to know what made many intelligent workers and talents to leave India for good to overseas. He has no idea who is ISRO scientist, Nambi Narayanan is and why Congress imprisoned him for than many years. He has no knowledge that India could have sent the Chandrayaan 2 rover to the South pole of the Moon way before China is Nambi sir was not imprisoned by Congress. He has no odea about the scams and amount of money Congress looted from the Indian public. And he has no idea that Congress has signed an undisclosed treacherous MoU with China in the year 2008 and the fact that Nehru refused the permanent UN seat in the council offerred to him just to appease the Chinese government. If he knew of all this issues plaguing India prior to 2014, he would have praised India's major tranformation within this 9 years of non-corrupted and efficient governance. Whatever u may say, the entire world respect India only after Modiji leads India into its golden era. This kind of respect never existed during the Manmohan Singh's leadership and governance. Sorry, anti-nationalist and Khangress trolls, intelligent Indians know who u are and no matter hoe much u try to peddle this lies about inclusiveness, we will just dump your lies in the trash.
