Could have asked more scientific questions to Neil than getting him to rate India.
💯 Agreed
Exactly! I cringed so hard when she started asking such questions
What you expect from them
Please take into consideration who is the person interviewing Dr Tyson.. 😂😂
Nothing wrong with that. This is a proud moment for them and they are looking for positive vibes or kudos from America.
This lady has, after decades of experience, now reached kindergarten level of journalistic expertise. What an achievement! But to listen to Dr. Tyson is a pleasure.
I agree that this was an opportunity wasted; Navika appeared too unsuitable to extract the best out of an interview of a person like Dr. Tyson.
@@ArunKeGaaneTotally!! I agree.
You said it !I wish they had someone more articulate and sensible to have had that opportunity. He has schooled her and showed her that he and the rest of the world are well aware of Indian’s capabilities.
She wanted to focus only on the last decade. However, Dr. Tyson disagreed and said India was always been great.
Her type of questioning was so bizarre, as if India is a small kid looking for praises from their parents (other countries)
*Very valid point by Dr. Tyson that India needs to invest heavily into science and tech*
Yes - forget about the hundreds of millions of people in India living in abject poverty. Let's spend billions on useless/fake lunar projects that never amount to anything of actual use.

Nothing nonsense in her questions. She is just asking people's questions. Indians do look for validation from amrikans. not just Neil. Koi bhi chaman idiot angrez kyo na ho.
Absolutely. Such a crazy questions.
@@piyushpahwa7897 Yeah, she purposely asked about India's stature in last decade. She is just looking for validation of the current government from a scientist.

Really nice to hear comments from Tyson.
She didn't feel shameful about her words to describe India... But he is feeling proud to mention the achievements of India and Indians..
Ironic innit?
This wasn’t an interview for that purpose. The purpose was to know from him whether India is on the right path which he agreed on.
@@bijayyolmo-dh3tv , 🤔! Don’t you think these kinds of technology advancements will bring investments for the betterment of the Country?
People say the money could have gone to the poor. But think like this, so many industries and people are involved in making the space program a reality. Materials procured from indigeneous manufacturers pays salaries for a lot of people and also boosts these sectors. The money also goes into salaries of all the people involved like the scientists, technicians, mechanics, labourers, vendors etc. Success in a mission means that more investments come in and these jobs are retained or more jobs are created. There is also potential for technology to be shared or sold to other countries to boost revenue. Earth's resources are also being depleted and perhaps 100 years down the line our country can mine resources in other planets rather than rely on other countries. The potential benefits is infinite.
People who say their tax money is being wasted first of all pay tax not because they want to but because they have to. We need to remember that the space mission is also funded by taxes paid by the corporations and people who are directly being paid for the mission.
Exactly.
Love this man. We need more people like him in the scientific community in particular and the world in general.
no tf we dont..he's cool sometimes and he knows a lot of sh*t but dude doesn't know everything. when he doesn't have correct or enough information about a particular subject he gets irritable and turns into a manchild..it's embarrassing. Dr. Loeb however, is a Godsend
Why?
Interviewing is an art and only intelligent sensible person should be allowed to interview such integent person like tyson
Yup. And answering interview questions is also quite tough, and thats why some people refuse to get interviewed. Iykyk
Exactly 💯 , she could've directed more scientifically-oriented inquiries towards Neil deGrasse Tyson, instead of seeking his assessment of India. It's questions like these that could singlehandedly dismantle the painstakingly built image of ISRO due to their sheer absurdity.
Typical KAREN media anchor asking questions to seek recognition from West instead of asking legitimate scientific questions.
Neil is the stupid person's idea of an intelligent person.
He is a pop science celebrity who has done very little actual research. Moreover much of his math, science and history is wrong. He puts all his effort into being entertaining and doesn't take the time to study his topics to get it right.
However Neil is correct to praise India and ISRO.

It's true when i was a kid any western magazine write about INDIA there used to be a photo of snake charmer on the front page. It changed all after late 90's when indian engineers started to dominate software industries the perception of indians slowly changed. After Mr Modi took over as PM india's image was completely transformed he really projected india as a BRAND. BTW Snake charmers title was given to us by congress before PM Narasimha rao and manmohan singh.
Such an opportunity lost by the silly questions asked by the interveiwer😡 I love how Niel answered her silly questions so sensibly, true legend❤
I know right. What got me even more angry is that she called him "Mr. Tyson" on a public media. 😡

She just wanted him to say good words about India to up her low self esteem. Indians as you know, always want approval of the white.
Just imagine someone like ravish Kumar getting to interview him. It'll be a way longer interview with lots of interaction for sure.
Dr. Tyson is a genius. And I’m not talking about his field but also in geo-politics. He exactly understands the right leaning nature of current Indian media and perfectly claps back at her BS questions. Who said India has developed in last one decade only? Does her Supreme Leader really need so much of validation after all the sycophancy in the country? Not a single question asked about the scientific ramification of this mission 😢
This man is one of a kind. Hoping to meet him one day in person and spend just 5 minutes talking to him.
I love the way Neil explains.. one thought though - let's not worry too much on India stature, we have already proven it through our tech solutions.. I think India is the only land where elephants, snake charmers and space scientist all can can thrive, coexist with respect.. let's have pride in the same diversity..
Yeah the interviewer's questions were quite disappointing considering we all know India is no longer just viewed as a land of elephants and snake charmers, and it is quite obvious that India's stature in the world has definitely risen over the past few decades. I hope she would have focused more on the space aspect rather than bringing in geo-politics to the conversation
