- If Sheryl Swoopes was trying to mend fences with Caitlin Clark, she’s going to have to try again. What was supposed to pass as an apology only made Swoopes sound even worse than her first uneducated comments about college basketball’s biggest star. And to make matters worse, she defended herself against charges of racism by saying black people can’t be racist. Sheryl, just stop talking.

Actually, I don't know the numbers specifically, but I think COVID can be to blame for the rise hate crimes against Asians in the U.S. From 2020 to 2021 there was a high increase in the number of hate crimes toward Asian-Americans.

I am a white man from Iowa married to a southern black woman from Georgia. My wife is too good of a person to get involved in these matters, but she would say to Swoopes "crabs in a bucket". Swoopes has been trained to pull down everyone into the bucket instead of wanting to get out of the bucket.
