I learned how to solder a stereo output jack for a passive/active pickup switch on a guitar with hybrid pickups. (I learned many other things, but this came to mind first)
Now do yourself one better and learn about electronics. You can have a long-term goal of making your own effects pedal, or amplifier. Or tone generators are relatively simple to make, especially square wave if you use a 555 timer chip. All you need to get started learning is a multimeter, resistors, LEDs, a breadboard with jumper wires and a battery holder. All told, it shouldn't cost more than $10 or $15 on aliexpress. Or amazon has a nice Elenco brand pack of resistors with all of the values you'll need, if you're not sure which kind to get if you don't mind spending a bit more. And you can go from there and get more parts as you learn about more stuff. You could even eventually work towards making your own electric guitar. Electroboom made a video about that. It's not very practical, but will help you to better understand and appreciate the science behind how they work. Cheers. And happy learning. =)

You did a fantastic job Erin! However, if I’m taking a math test in a room and it’s more than 70 degrees I would rather pluck my eyelashes out individually, that’s like two kinds of torture.
The first fact is probably just a comfort thing. People tend to do better at tasks when they aren't distracted by their discomfort. The average room temperatures in offices and schools are usually set for male comfort so it's usually chilly for women which can be very annoying and uncomfortable. The are many women who complain about being cold all the time and this is why.
