@Mikey Bustos Vlogs Hello guys(= . Being the techno guys now. No more like switch up for on and down for off. High tech is super cool for most people(= . Girls r pesky, hahahaha. Hi(= . I'm been positive lately(= . Some negatives at work. But trying to be positive at work too(= .
Hi Mikey! So happy to see our daily positive dose of good vibes. I'm sure you've seen what has happened in Florida. Here in South Carolina the heavy rains have started... and it's bringing back memories of 2015 when we lost our home and 95% of everything we owned in flooding from a similar storm. We (me, the kids, & 2 dogs) had to be rescued by boat. At it's highest there was 4 feet of black river water in our house. As we left we saw an alligator and several snakes swimming. Anyway... I'm very glad to have your vlog to distract me. Ok.... I'm off to teach virtually since the schools are closed. Praying 🙏 all my students stay safe.
@@MikeyBustosVLOGS I'm in South Carolina (north of Florida). It's just now reaching us. The flooding in Florida has been catastrophic. So far we in South Carolina have just had some power outages but flooding is expected. We are ok for now. Will check in later.
I just finished watching this blog, I'm so in AWE,FULL OF GRATITUDE ENORMOUS JOY just looking at the birds, I can't explain in words the overwhelming feeling I have, THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS, I DIDN'T KNOW TIME HAVE LAPSED, it's SOOOOOOOO relaxing, I, personally can watch hours of this, all the angst of waiting for the next blog dissapeared today, I SOOOOOO LOVE, LOVE IT, THANKS JEAH for editing this, you are one of a kind, the birds ADORE YOU, them trying to bite your arms is them testing if the PERCH is STABLE but you also right by saying DON'T BITE, I am watching this again today, it's SOOOOOOOO CALMING for me, THANK YOU AGAIN, by the way, you mentioned that the blog is long, NOT LONG ENOUGH FOR ME, I LOST TRACK OF TIME WATCHING, all the way from MANHATTAN NEW YORK
Can’t wait for you to have more birds on the aviary. It would be so relaxing to watch them as they fly around. Thank you for this Mikey! Really enjoyed watching your adventures ❤
oh my heart is aflutter seeing all 3 of the blue-naped parrots out of their cage! it is indeed a SUCCESSFUL DAY and hats off to you Mikey, you really worked hard in providing only the best for the birds! 🤩
It's heartwarming to see the bond growing between you and all your parrots! The yellow-backed hen and the male are super comfortable with you, as shown by their exploratory chewing on you. You might want to carry small novel items (toys!) in your pouch that you can hand them to give them something to do other than chewing on you and redirect that behavior. Since they find hanging out on you so rewarding, you might also want to consider rewarding them for going back to the cage when you ask, so you can send them home when you need to. The window soap, as you are seeing, is not intended to totally keep the birds from touching the windows so much as to slow them down when they are close enough to see an obstacle. It's really hard for even very intelligent birds like parrots to learn about glass. There is really not anything they would encounter in the wild that is similar, so they have problems with things they can see through but not move through, the same reason it is taking them practice to get in and out of their cages. You have a great idea to let the conures get some practice alone in the aviary now that the blue-napes are more confident. That was definitely some territorial aggression you saw when the conures went for the yellow-backed female on their cage. They just told her in parrot language that she was not welcome that close and she understood. It was a lot of noise but there was no sustained fight or injury which is a very good sign. I would be more concerned in a situation where two fighting parrots did not want to back down. Your shy older female will move at her own pace and you are doing the right thing in being patient. I can't tell if she is missing wing feathers entirely or if they are broken or clipped. If they are just short it will take months for those to grow in and she will not loose them until she molts naturally. The good news is it looks like she has enough to fly down and slow her landing, she just may have to work harder to fly up. What a special feeling that they choose to fly and spend time with you and share food ♥️ That's how you know you really have their trust.
Ahhh thank you for this! Noted on all points. Sadly, the older female came to me with missing primaries and tail feathers. I saw her trying to fly a couple times but she just can't. We'll have to wait for her next molt. Can't wait to see her up in the trees with her flock mates! Thanks again.
The joy in your voice, when you are spending time with the birds, gets me every time! I was so happy to see the older girl make her way out!!!! ❤ It will be so nice when you can wash the soap off the windows. What a great idea those decals are.
I think this is the longest vlog ever... I'm half an hour into it but, need to go back to bed (my eyes are not wanting to stay open)... LOL. I'll finish it later this morning. For now tho... WOW, love how much progress those two birds have made in flying and coming to you, that has got to be so satisfying. I'm cracking up at Cypher and Sahara, especially watching Sahara play fetch, it seems she's got the slick floor down so she does a controlled slide on it (she's "drifting"), I'm still chuckling at that. RJ looks so comfy in his living room, that makes me very happy to see. Sadly, there is still a shortage of Siracha and it's expected to last a while. I think you're right tho, about home farming. My Sis-in-Law grows a lot of her own vegies and berries, I've gotten some of her onions and lettuce, WOW they're SO good, it's a huge difference. OK, I gotta get some more sleep but, I'll finish later :)
I absolutely love to see them fly in the aviary! I guess the last female needs some more time but seeing her flock flying outside will help her getting some confidence and soon she’ll trust you and the aviary too. Can’t wait for more!
true! I just hope to watch these vlogs on a daily basis like before. but it's definitely understandable how busy this couple is. wish you all the best.
I am originally AC family but found your Chanel and have been watching since before the farm house and you were still on the hunt for a house! I still love watching the vlogs!
Your birds are going to have an incredible life! I was surprised you released the birds before you had completely tamed them. Now I see that you knew what you were doing! So happy for you!
Been checking out a few of your videos, I love how patient and calm you are with the birds. This aviary is the perfect environment for them, very good job. Regarding two of the concerns in this video: the older female Amazon is having trouble because her wings have been badly clipped, so she probably won't be a confident flyer for another couple of months until she molts those old feathers and grows new ones in again. A ladder or branch attached to the bottom of the cage from the floor will help her feel more confident and secure when she's outside, because she'll have an easy way to get back to her "safe" space (the cage) at will. And the conures: conures are VERY territorial over their cages, especially in groups! This is pretty normal behaviour for them, so once everyone is out in the aviary and able to go hang out in their own spaces their territorial behaviour should calm right down. They might bully the Amazons a little bit due to their more timid nature, but having plenty of perching areas and places to get away will help with this a lot. The hanging branches from the top of the aviary would be a wonderful idea! Congratulations on the new home and the good work with the birds, and good luck!
Welcome back once again! Speaking of shortages, the thing too is that earlier this year, I've been hearing of a potato shortage which you forgot to point out in there. That's why that in some fast food restaurants we ordered at that time such as McDonald's or Jollibee, there were no French Fries in stock, and I believe that it's still ongoing currently; anyway, good job Mikey to spending an hour on training these birds on flying up there freely, and congratulations on manifesting this aviary about what you've just explained to us in the end! Also Jeah, you've done a good job in editing every video Mikey vlogs!
Mikey thankyou so much for another Long vlog, i enjoy these ones so much i lay down and watch it on my smart tv, These birds are getting much more confident at flying in the aviary then they were before
Even living in a small apartment with a balcony...I grow lots of food! From garlic chive to collard greens and peppers/chilies to okra! I Loveeeee it!!!!
I think its time to have go pros and a tripod for your phone (for a handsfree close shot of you and the birds) in aviary when you let them out so that you don’t have to keep worry about missing the shots. Id like to take this opportunity to thank you Mikey for uploading long vlogs. I’ve been having anxiety and panic attacks lately, and watching your videos helps me calm. And thanks Jeah!
Hi Jeah we sometimes forget bout all ur hard work, but the vloggs wouldn't b the same w/o all ur perfectly added lil iconic Mikey laughs n clip inserts, Thanks for the great job u do.😉💞
I was most happy for the older female bird... she finally found the courage to explore... i can't wait to see her bloom... i want her to bloom beautifully under your care... and i'm sure she will... it is so much joy to watch you care for them... it is evident in how they trust you that you are doing a great job... well done, Mickey. God bless you... and RJ and the furkids....🙏💗
It breaks my heart to see her in bad feather condition. It really impairs her flying. We'll have to wait until her next molt. I hope by then it isn't too late for her to learn to fly. 🤞
Exciting vlog with flying birds that love Mikey! Jean does a wonderful job of capturing the best birdie moments, perching on Mikey, trying to taste Miley's ear, etc. Absolutely positive that editing these blogs is a massive undertaking. Great job, skillful Jeah! House is looking very nice. So many new things to do. It will be an interesting vlog when you first let Rizal and Brittney (pardon the spelling) have free run in the main house. I remember teaching my dog to climb and descend stairs -so fun but stressful, too. (waiting on imminent arrival Ian now a Cat 1 hurricane.)
IDEA!: You should get an EXTRA large bath mat type ryg for outside the aviary!along with a towel rack or a cubbard of some sort to iold onto towels! That way when you come in after the rain, you always have a way to dry off and not trail water in the house! 😁 If you want workers to help you when you start farming more seriously, god I would just love to come for a few weeks to help!! (Truth is, I would work for you anyway so I could become an apprentice of sorts and learn how tonfiom and edit like you do! But also because I vibe so much with you and feel.thebsame way you do about so many things!) I feel the same way- THAT IS MY END GOAL- TO HAVE MY OWN HOME AND LIVE OFF THE LAND! At this point, I don't see how that is possible, but I don't want to give up on the end goal! Ps: so proud of the birds flying high!!
Sooo happy to know Jeah is still the editor… I miss seeing Jeah. 🎉 Edit: Mikey: Beh, look at the birds are up on the trees!!!! RJ: Wow 😅😂😂😂😅 Edit2: please don’t mind how long the vlogs are… we #MabuhaySquad love them sooo much! It takes the stress out, so pls continue and we love seeing #Gabriela #Marcelo and #Clara perch on the trees yay 😃 😊
This is the only vlog channel that i don't mind if it reaches more than an hour. I didn't even notice they were that long. I love the good vibes in these videos. More power to you Mikey!
Also it might be a good idea to cover the top of the cages so no one can bite toes that land on it, it’s a very common way of birds losing toes from the inside bird biting the toe that lands on the top bars. Also just to say…….your doing amazing and your passion of seeing them fly in your beautiful aviary is such a joy
I'm very happy and excited seeing them fly, up in the trees and bond with you. They are beautiful to look at from the 2nd floor of the house, really. 🙂
Mikey I fell in love with you. Every day been watching your blogs and since I’m new I’m watching even the old blogs of yours! Love the mabuhay farms! So awesome + the birds and I don’t forget RJ even his a shy type. God bless 🙏 Ingat lagi….Olga from Sunny San Diego ❤ Btw I’m glad to be part of the Mabuhay Squad 😊 Jeah you’re doing a great job! Thanks!
I think we all underestimated the blues here we were thinking they weren't very confident n I think they were waiting on u so they could show all they knew/learned from just observing n natural instinct🤔 They r so smart & beautiful. Maybe the reds r jealous of the blues watching them interact on a new level w/u n flying round nibbling on trees might b torture for the reds😥😁.. Yaaay I was so happy when u mentioned Ate Elsie's husband is living w/her n the staff house cuz I was thinking she would lonely once Rezal & Brittany get ta come home to the main house. RJ thinking bout the birdies w/glass reminds me how he's always working n caring bout all the details n U😉💞
Your vlogs are always a delight to watch, Mikey 😍 The birds are soo adorable 🥰 thank you for sharing your positivity and awesome adventures to us ❤️❤️❤️
I absolutely love the long vlogs, gives me something to watch for a good portion of my down time! They birds are really excelling and the aviary is absolute stunning. Omg I can’t wait until all the birds are out and accustomed to each other
The birds look so magical in the drifted tree branches, Wowa! They are so attached to you already, it's too funny and cute! Thanks Jeah for editing such great vlogs, youre a rockstar!
I have crimson bellied conures that are my pets, their attack on the other bird landing on THEIR cage was fully just a territorial thing. If you put your fingers on THEIR cage they will come over to bite your fingers to get off THEIR cage. And yes you definitely did the right thing letting the shyer blue napes out first. Crimson conures are the least aggressive to other birds apparently, that doesn’t mean they can’t be a bit spicy
ALOHA. Today was far best one of the best vlog I have seen..seeing the love you and RJ have for your birds touches my ❤️ heart… please keep up the wonderful work you are doing.. We love you and RJ very much!!! ALOHA
I just stumbled upon your channel last night and I’ve been bingeing on your videos, especially the aviary ones. I love them! I used to keep parrotlets and I miss keeping them so much. Watching your videos reminds me of the time when I had them. Looking forward to more aviary uploads. And please don’t apologise about the length. It’s nice to have your videos on while I’m doing my plant repotting. Haha. Btw the way the spider is an Argiope keyserlingi, or commonly known as the St Andrew’s cross spider. “The zig-zags in the web of a St. Andrew’s cross spider form a large X shape, similar to the heraldic symbol known as a saltire. It’s also known as Saint Andrew’s cross, since Andrew the Apostle is traditionally said to have been crucified on a diagonal cross in the shape of the letter X. When the spider sits in the middle of the cross, it can look as though it’s suffering a similar fate. (In reality, of course, that fate is reserved for the spider’s prey.)” www.singaporegeographic.com/spider/st-andrews-cross-spider
You can do a lot of things in that vacant lot 😊 can’t wait for that! I hope it will mainly focus on farming and agriculture. Like hydroponics and other live stocks 🌱 I’m always waiting for your vlogs thank you so much for this! 💕
Love this so much. 🥰 I already love birds but watching your vlogs made me appreciate them even more. I really admire how patient you are with all of your pets. Really inspiring to watch.
@@MikeyBustosVLOGS yes. You inspire me. Hopefully God's willing. I will have an aviary to. My future dream house as well. Looking forward to all your aviary content. 😍😍😍😍Sending you my warmth hugs.
Most plants absolutely LOVE being pruned... And the birds do that naturally... Of course a plant can be overly pruned but with a normal prune the plant will get super healthy so especially removing any death leaves and branches but also some of the healthy 🙂 i have helped some family members and friends because they were afraid their tree, bush or other plant was dying, i removed all the dead and dying branches and leaves and then the plant went crazy with growth 😅 if there are too many leaves on a plant the bottom leaves might also not be able to get enough sunlight and then those bottom leaves will die leading to an ugly plant... If you think about it a lot of animals are constantly pruning the plants in nature 🙂 also the wind by by blowing... Insects will take top leaves so the leaves won't cover other leaves, some insects will eat the dead bark so fungus don't infest the plant, some animals climb the plants and jump around making any weak branches fall and the same goes for the wind who will take the much bigger branches that no animal is stupid enough to climb on 😅 im always hoping to find springtales in my plants because I know it makes the plants healthier 🙂 yes your birds can absolutely destroy and kill your plants but try and let them and maybe your plants become healthier 😅 Also Mikey... Over an hour long video? Are you crazy? 😂
Oh this is so true! I never thought of this! I wondered how trees survived parrots in the wild. Turns out, they survive BECAUSE of parrots! Thanks for the enlightenment! 🦜🌳
You should get some security cameras in the aviary so you can still record some stuff that you don’t catch (I need to send one comment instead of3 separate ones haha)
I just looked and this was over an hour long. It really doesn’t seem like it. As I work at home, I watch/listen while I work. I will pause when I have a meeting. I love the progress the birds are having. Soon the one female will have more confidence and fly to Mikey also. He’s the bird whisperer. ❤❤❤
Beautiful birds. I started following you back when you had your African Grey. We have had everything from a Blue and Gold Macaw (Rainbow) to a Budgie and Cockatiel to a Moluccan Cockatoo (Peaches) to a Scarlet Macaw (Ruby). Both got re-homed. We now have an Umbrella Cockatoo (Lilly) and two Goffin Cockatoos (Chica) and (Daffy Duck) who says Hi Duck, Night Duck and a couple other things. I also had a Galah Cockatoo named Galaxy he said his name, Hi Baby, Whoops, It's OK and Treats. He died around 2015 or 2016. :( Anyways Mikey, you have a beautiful home / property and family there in the Philippines. Do you ever come home to Canada? I'm 38 and live in London Ontario and Pancake Bay Ontario. I am a Firefighter and Emergency Medical Responder. Also a CBRNE tech. I went to Humber College for Emergency Telecommunications. Also training through the Ontario Fire College for Firefighting certifications. Used to have a 2nd home in Sault Ste. Marie until 2010. My Moms parents home. My Dads side of the family is from Niagara Falls. If you ever are back in Toronto, London only 2 hours away. I'm sure you know that already. We could meet up somewhere, someday. I lived in Toronto from 2003-2005. Bathurst and Finch / Steeles. And no I'm not Jewish. Just had an apartment in the neighborhood. I'm going to the ROM in November with my Dad and Sister. My Mom is not going. I really want to go back to the Science Center as well. Have you ever been to either when you were growing up in Toronto? Lots of love to you, RJ and the birds, doggies and oh lets not forget the ants. LOL :) Chris

If you want workers to help you when you start farming more seriously, god I would just love to come for a few weeks to help!!
Edit:
Mikey: Beh, look at the birds are up on the trees!!!!
RJ: Wow
😅😂😂😂😅
Edit2: please don’t mind how long the vlogs are… we #MabuhaySquad love them sooo much!
Jaya, I often remember you while I watch these edits. Thank you 💜
It so amazing watching the birds get used to their enclosure 🎉
Also it might be a good idea to cover the top of the cages so no one can bite toes that land on it, it’s a very common way of birds losing toes from the inside bird biting the toe that lands on the top bars. Also just to say…….your doing amazing and your passion of seeing them fly in your beautiful aviary is such a joy
kudos to Ate Elsie! Hard to find honest workers nowadays.
OMG! I din’t even noticed that the vlog is more than an hour long! So entertaining! Training the birds is paying off. Good job Mikey!
Maybe you should put a camera into the aviary so you can watch them. Maybe have a Timelapse of them flying around on the home aviary channel
They look beautiful from the second floor. Amazing!!
I'm very happy and excited seeing them fly, up in the trees and bond with you. They are beautiful to look at from the 2nd floor of the house, really. 🙂
Enjoys enjoy today's blogs not exciting as I wanted to be but enjoyable have a good one
Mikey I fell in love with you. Every day been watching your blogs and since I’m new I’m watching even the old blogs of yours! Love the mabuhay farms! So awesome + the birds and I don’t forget RJ even his a shy type. God bless 🙏 Ingat lagi….Olga from Sunny San Diego ❤
Btw I’m glad to be part of the Mabuhay Squad 😊
Jeah you’re doing a great job!
Your vlogs are always a delight to watch, Mikey 😍 The birds are soo adorable 🥰 thank you for sharing your positivity and awesome adventures to us ❤️❤️❤️
Wow your parrot sounds like a laughing 3 year old child sooo cute👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Im so happy with the daily progress of the birds.. theyre so beautiful to watch...
Aww! My heart melted seeing the male fly to you!!
I am enjoying the hour of you sharing! I've watched your struggles, sadness with tears and now the joy in your dreams coming to fruition!
That is awesome! Two birds totally trust you. That shows they really like you! Good job!!
Amazing how Rj finds all these people and companies
Wow the birds are used to it flaying around the trees is amazing it way way far love it 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I have crimson bellied conures that are my pets, their attack on the other bird landing on THEIR cage was fully just a territorial thing.
Ahhh I thought so! Great to meet another Crimson Bellied Conure owner here! Thank you! 🙏❤️🦜
Jean!! Thank you so much for your amazing edits! Each jump sound, fall of banana and or background sounds really brings the magic each blog 🎉❤
Baby steps is the key. All in good, "BIRD" time. Congrats on your bird progress. Good on ya. Cheers! 😎
(In reality, of course, that fate is reserved for the spider’s prey.)”

Since you completed the aviary and letting the birds out. I started to love watching your video. 💖♥️❤️💞
Thank you for watching! The birds say thank you, as well!
@@MikeyBustosVLOGS yes. You inspire me. Hopefully God's willing. I will have an aviary to. My future dream house as well. Looking forward to all your aviary content. 😍😍😍😍Sending you my warmth hugs.
Mikey I really Love watching these videos, make me feel happy... THANKS
Insects will take top leaves so the leaves won't cover other leaves, some insects will eat the dead bark so fungus don't infest the plant, some animals climb the plants and jump around making any weak branches fall and the same goes for the wind who will take the much bigger branches that no animal is stupid enough to climb on 😅 im always hoping to find springtales in my plants because I know it makes the plants healthier 🙂 yes your birds can absolutely destroy and kill your plants but try and let them and maybe your plants become healthier 😅
Also Mikey... Over an hour long video? Are you crazy? 😂
Oh this is so true! I never thought of this! I wondered how trees survived parrots in the wild. Turns out, they survive BECAUSE of parrots! Thanks for the enlightenment! 🦜🌳
Always a great job Jeah! ❤
You should get some security cameras in the aviary so you can still record some stuff that you don’t catch (I need to send one comment instead of3 separate ones haha)
The shy girl grabbing the entire piece of plantain 😂😍 clever girl
I think it's wonderful what your doing and your future plans for your vegetable garden.
You are doing so awesome with the birds!!!!! I love you and the birds... could watch them for hours!!!🥰😍🤩
Yayyyyy!! it’s over an hour vlogggg! ❤❤
You guys asked and I tried to deliver! So much happened yesterday!!! Enjoy the vlog! Hugs!
The birds seem so happy! Another milestone 😀 so proud of all of this!!
You have such a amazing setup for your birds by far my favorite
the soap spirals look like the wind blowing on the leaves ,. so cool,. ❤️🧡💜💙
I just looked and this was over an hour long. It really doesn’t seem like it. As I work at home, I watch/listen while I work. I will pause when I have a meeting. I love the progress the birds are having. Soon the one female will have more confidence and fly to Mikey also. He’s the bird whisperer. ❤❤❤
You need to make more videos! Want more! Birds are marvelous. Looking great
Beautiful birds. LOL :)
Chris
