Yep. Cliff could certainly find the musicians. He still can. The Shadows are legendary. Hank Marvin's style is still emulated by many guitarists around the world. With the co-musicianship of Bruce Welch, Brian Bennett and Jet Harris, Tony Mehan and Licorice Locking at different times, has made this group amazing for decades of music enthusiasts. May they live long! 🙂💗💗

Actually, Hank Marvin was a huge influence on the Beatles. He even encouraged them to try to adapt some of their music more along the instrumental lines. Hank eventually became one of Jehovah's Witnesses and witnessed extensively to the beatles. From what I understand, I believe it was George Harrison who eventually wrote a song based on the message of paradise that Hank presented to him. Hank now serves as an elder in the Christian congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Perth, Australia.
Hank is my favorite electric guitar player. Ricky King comes in second. I get many of his videos on youtube. Most of his have beautiful scenes from around the world.

I agree totally...the Shads were never with a steady bassist....but whoever played....the incredible Shadows sound remained the same !! But as you said ...Jet could have come back...for old times sake. Incredible bass player ! RIP Jet .

Pas tout a fait, Rostill était le meilleur, même si mon cher ami Licorice (Brian) reste dans mon coeur. Jet était excellent, mais manquait du phrasé apporté par Rostill, mais les Shadows ont été et resteront pour notre joie à tous une belle famille !
