Fear of God. Is it necessary? Should human beings fear Him? One should not fear God because He is love. A good and righteous Judge. We don't fear a Judge when we see a picture of him or attend a function where he is a speaker, but one may fear him when standing in a court room where your case is being heard. Fear of God means also humility, respect and reverence for Him. 🙏

Hindu is a term that recently stuck with the people by non native Abrahamics, otherwise it was just a huge group of many God/gods (probably mythical) and kings and gurus and rishis and other enlightened people preaching and sharing their knowledge and wisdom and thus increasing their followers moving from place to place and spreading the same knowledge and myths all over the world including Asia, Africa and Europe but because Abrahamics destroyed all the native faiths and customs and way of life wherever they settled; the culture and way of life that spread out all over the world has been left in Indian subcontinent only and since, the region was called Hind/Hindustan by Persians and Arabians, the culture/way of life came to be known as Hinduism. There is also alot of politics behind the term as it has been artificially morphed into a religious identity especially during British Raj in India to create rift among Indians so they could control India by playing on their divisions which eventually divided and killed millions of subcontinental natives and displaced tens of millions.

I was born into Hinduism but I've been plagued with questions for years, like, why do I have so many Gods on the altar, why do my Goddess look so scary like Kaliamma, why does my God have elephant head, boar/monkey features, etc. The people who provided me with valuable insights were Ramakrishna & Swami Vivekananda and their disciples. Seeing Hinduism through the 4 yogas definitely helped me understand the diversity of thought and practice that Hinduism offers, and how they're reconciled with each other towards one common goal of Moksha. The 4 yogas also helped as a guideline. Although everyone could be inclined towards perhaps one or two of them, it is highly encouraged to cultivate all 4 areas Nyana, Bhakti, Karma and Raja yogas so that we can hopefully have a smooth journey towards Moksha. Even an atheist can find himself within these yogas. He can develop Nyanam in the field of consciousness or any field that is beneficial and sustainable for humanity, do charity as a Karmayogi, meditate to realize his full potential and show love and devotion towards his family and community selflessly.

All the gods in Hinduism symbolise different energies that a human consciousness can understand...it's more symbolic than literal ..and it is open to your own interpretation..
Goddess Kali symbolises anger...do look at yourself once when you are angry in the mirror...and see how you look like...you might not like what you see...
But moving over from idols...if that doesn't appeal to you...there are other deep philosophies which can show you the truth ...
I feel it depends on what appeals to you, which thought process attracts you, where you are currently in your life experience and what kind of guidence you need....it's amazing that you can choose whatever you want to believe in as it's your own personal journey...
Personally I don't believe in rituals but I lean more towards the teachings of Vedanta...but I don't have any problem when ppl want to worship idols...
We need all kinds of diversity...then only one can understand which way is most suitable for that person considering his/her intellectual capacity, personality, likes etc..this scope is provided only in our religion... That's why it's so beautiful 😊

Hinduism doesn't have the concept of conversion. Conversion is something stuck in the people's head because of being grown in a society that has converting religions. It is you who first call yourself a Hindu, that day you become a hindu. You don't need anyone's recognition, only Lord Krishna to put a thought in your mind about dharmic pursuit.

Real conversion is not possible. Because Hinduism is by means of a geographical presence. The way western civilian are adopting Hinduism will create a Anglo-Indian mixed culture of Hinduism practice (very soon you may see an ex- Christian offering 'Puja' to Lord Jesus or after a 'Krishna Bhajan' the person gone to a party and enjoying a beef dish). I am afraid being loosing of Hinduism in its original form.

Hinduism is not the “Religion of Peace” - it is the “Religion of Freedom” - where individuals can decide for themselves what is permissible and impermissible as long as it is legal and doesn’t interfere with the freedoms of others.

I ordered portraits from India of lord Brahma Vishnu shiva . Krishna will be my next portrait. I did not convert to Sanatana Dharma I started by doing yoga , then meditation. Soon I discovered a perfect way to look at the universe. I fell in love with God who stole butter . Sanatana Dharma is perfection Hare Krishna

Wonderful videos and very well explained ! I am a Swiss who adopted Sanatan Dharma when I was 16. I had a lot of both very warm welcomes, comments etc and negative even downright rude attitude from Abrahamics. No surprises there ! I find the Abrahamic concepts toxic and anti spiritual. That's why I left protestant Christianity and after studying Islam, realised ... nope ! I also lobe Buddhidm and Sikhi and I actually follow some practices from them too ! I will start a RUclips channel too and look fwds to follow you and interact! Best from Swiss Yogi 🇨🇭📿🙏🕉

You said something that I have been vocally saying on Twitter etc … people who convert are ‘Spiritual Barbarians’ as I call them.
Going and violating other people’s spiritual path and in the end not bringing an spiritual benefit to them(yeap…what benefit can such conversion bring.)
Also, I am happy you don’t think of yourself as a ‘convert’. By adopting a path that suits you doesn’t make Jesus Christ as a false or satanic God and Vishnu as the ‘Real’ God (the way Christian missionaries say to me….)

    • @thedharmiccoach6241

You are spot on! Unfortunately at best conversion tactics are misleading and emotionally/spiritually harmful. Then there is the next level where converts are pressured to leave their families. On the worst end of the spectrum there is torture and death. People should be free to follow the path in their heart and not be manipulated by the promise of food, money, and status or the fear of death and eternal damnation.
I'm sorry you've faced that harassment from missionaries :(

@@thedharmiccoach6241 the biggest difference between dharmic and Abrahmic religion according to me is whenever their will be free flow of knowledge and people dharmic religion will grow as a top down approach (elites will convert and spread knowledge) .... And whenever their will be a suppression of free flow of thoughts Abrahmic religion will grow as a bottom-top approach (fist they convert poor people and gain mass then elite has to convert to control them)

Hinduism is what people lived for 10-15 thousand years, gained knowledge, discovered new things and then remembered or wrote it down for the welfare of coming generations. The scriptures in Hinduism is not according to a single person. A single person didn't write them all. We don't have a single book. All those knowledge, experiences, information can't fit into a single book or two right?
In Christianity and Islam only 1 or 2 people wrote a book which were completely according to them or the main character(Jesus or Allah)

How can the followers of a God can be happy if their God Himself is gloomy ,depressed ? Stressed ?

Sanatan Dharma means "Eternal religion or path". Once upon a time it existed on every part of the world because ancient Sanatan dharma was more about animism, all the forces of nature was associated with Gods. You can similarly say that ancient Greek and European belief system was also Sanatan dharmic in nature... The gods and deties had similar power and all were associated with animism. When Europe got Christianized people lost their ancient belief system. Well yes we can say that Indian Sanatani belief system is very old and it exists until today. We had many reforms in the Indian form of Sanatan dharma because of great reformers like Krishna, Ram, etc and many school of thoughts also evolved through out time. Christianization was damaging to Europe, people were not allowed to read science and even punished for learning science. Greeks were good in science until they had their form of Sanatan dharma and later after christianization the entire glory was gone, many people had to struggle in Europe to protect the ancient knowledge. A revolution came into Europe when Church got seperated from state and things got change since then. Sanatan Dharma means Eternal religion, it means nobody knows who is the founder and so nobody knows when did the animism started. In ancient vedic days prayers were performed in open and forces of nature were worshiped .There was no worshipping in the temple in those days. Yes, temple culture came due to later reforms in the Indian Sanatan Dharma and in our ancient scriptures we don't see any worshiping inside temples. We cannot say that this is best path or that is best path, but Indian Sanatan Dharma gives you many path to realise the supreme. Some school of Sanatan dharma rejects God and instead ask people to self realize to be God and some believe in external God who is the creator of Cosmo's. If you read bhagwad gita Krishna wants people to realize that you, me and every living and non living are same and that's the art of creator that we're same beings in a different disguise and nothing is permanent. Actually there is no hell or heaven, when you die the soul leaves one form of a body and takes either other form or same form. Its our duty to let the soul evolve in a manner so that we are free from the process of birth and rebirth. It's not very complex. I believe if you even read Bible it tells you the same, see Jesus represents an eternal soul which never dies, just see the process of resurrection at the end he gives you an eternal life of some form meaning to free from cycle of birth and rebirth. Even Jesus is pointing towards being conscious of who you're. It's the same consciousness story but presented differently in Bible which basically sounds harsh because the actual knowledge of jesus were manipulated for some purpose of political control over the people. The most dumbest thing is that even the Christians never understood Bible very well but rather they took it differently and caused the chaos of converting people and Jesus was trying to bring reform only for the Jews not for the people of other belief system.

Being a Hindu ... one thing i am very happy about this Dharma is "How inclusive it is and try to bring the consciousness". Hindu is not dependent on a single book or prophecy as result NO one can destroy this and same time it given infinite freedom.
I would like to keep Hindu the way it is i.e. No forceful conversion or No exploitation & conversion of vulnerable people ( That is most disgraceful thing IMHO ).

We never believed in any "Patent" hence people like Albert Einstein copied our discoveries and claimed that they are the ones who invented it. No just him but every successful scientist or inventor did that. Even aeroplane was first made in india years before wright brothers did :)
