Wonderful layout!! I’ve watched it several times and still don’t know what magic you did with your cutfile to keep from backing it, but I love that you figured it out!!

I did an offset (used zero as the reference so it did a flush outline.) that gave me a base for everything to be glued to.
Then cut out the letters individually.
Love the mix of blue pp and woodgrain., and nice cluster around the title.

What a great layout! Eli is really growing up to be a handsome young man! My youngest son is going to be 40 this month! Hard to believe how fast time passes! Your idea of a professional photographer for each school year is amazing! Also, using the wood grain for the cut file, really adds character and seems more age appropriate.

Love so much about this. It’s fun to see how you & Nicole are influencing each other. Did you know that you can run the thin fun foam through your silhouette? I want to try it in black to see if it gives that shadow effect. I absolutely agree that the wood grain on the cut file took it to a whole new level!

I love how the left and right layout are totally different but go so well together! What a great way to add a lot of photos!
I don’t think I would have created a layout like this, without the sketch but I do like having that one photo as a focal point on the right with all the supporting photos on the left.

Thank you! He really does rock the hair! Honestly I don't have a reason why I mat them vs. not matting them, except that it takes extra time. I will mat photos when I feel like they are getting lost or they are a focal photo (like this one on the right) but I do a lot of grid style photos and I don't feel like they really need to be matted. So I guess, personal preference? 🤷🏽♀️
