-it's a pretty heavy shader at the moment, but I am going to try to optimize a lot this month.

I'm not sure which one this is, but you can check the last video to see a few with links

Didn't think we could have some many reflections without running at 2fps.
@@Chiren yeah getting 65fps with 1028 blocks deep is kind of crazy. And 90fps at 30 is still really good. I'm excited to see how much higher I can get it, there's still a lot I haven't done yet that should boost it significantly
Interestellar typa shit (it looks absolutely amazing keep going :D)
Thanks!
@timetravelbeard3588 Just saying, it already runs pretty good with no major optmizations whatsoever. Really excited for when you start working on it (:
0:30 Correction: i am getting 90fps now with 30 block trace, which is more than enough for lighting & global illumination, I am getting 65fps in this scene when tracing 1028 blocks deep of recursive reflections -and that should improve a lot more
do you think this would run on a 3080?
@ItzYell0w33 I think it will next month pretty good. I'm not sure how it would right now, but I think 80s aren't usually to far behind 90s in processing, just vram. I'll post some performance after I get the stuff merged in the next few weeks
This is exciting!
Thanks! I think it's kind of funny that I say that right after a yawn
@timetravelbeard3588 🙂😂
Looks incredible!
And the performance, WOW! Very impressive
Btw which editing software you are using?
@AAdielperetz something free, I think it's called shotcut?
@timetravelbeard3588 capcut?
I use it and it doesn't look like that
@AAdielperetz No. Shotcut, it's a free open source editing software.
@@timetravelbeard3588 I'd definitely recommend using something like DaVinci Resolve honestly (unless you have reasons to not, of course)
@@IMC-zx6xl ahh I now see
I misread
that is so cool! a denoiser would be so neat
To be honest it looks good
3:55 it fades as shown on rough materials like the wall, on shiny things the recursion works perfectly like a hall of mirrors. but the wall is what i'm about to fix
It looks mopped . Is so clean
This looks amazing
Its looking amazing
Thanks! Trying to keep focus on performance this month and not get too side tracked into more features but it's hard to do
dang, this is impressive!
Bro got a whole rotisserie chicken in his hotbar
Brilliant work
impressive stuff, too bad my 2060s won't handle even release build anyway
So basically raytracing... WAIT WHAT?!
WAOWOOWAOWOWOWAOOAOOWAO
i love everything in your shaders but why every video has shitt ton of NOISE?
Noise is a problem when doing purely raytracing or pathtracing and trying to get good fps. Like even NVIDIA is still working on it. For this shader I only see it in very dark very dynamically lit environments, which is what I have been showing and testing in to see stuff like this. I have a few things to implement still about it, but stuff takes time. The 'hybrid' preset hides it by also using some of the old lighting to fill gaps, and the high and ultra render would have much less or none, but until I get more done, there will be some noise in very dark environments to get 90 fps. The fact that this is getting 90 fps I think makes noise ok. The high version gets 30 and ultra is just trying to not have noise by brute force and therefore gets like 10 on a 4090, to show me the ground truth image every frame
@@timetravelbeard3588 ohh i see thanks for the info
what graphics card you have?
If I'm not mistaken it is a 4090, he also said he's gonna try to optimize this shader a lot this month
@Alduejanot surprised tbh
@@TheOriginalManTrust I actually do think that with some good optimization (he seems to be a very skilled programmer) this shader maybe could run on a rx6600 (or a 3060) but that's just estimating I dont really know
@Aldueja good news for me with a 3060 ti then 😅
@@TheOriginalManTrust Remember, that's just my speculation. If I were you, I would ask the developer personally for what his optmization goals are, but I imagine something in the territory of the 3060 really. (also sorry for bad english)
