Amazing shots with the clouds and foreground elements. Hilarious you found your sandals at the end. I think I need to add New Zealand to my bucket list.
Awesome. Can you photograph mountains 100s of miles away with infra and p1000? There is a record. 750 miles from mountain in wales to swis alps. Globe skeptics are all over it!
Every year there is only one day in the calendar when all the stars are all in alignment and that shot is definitely possible on a cloudless day and thats April 1st.
@@tommypaterson cheers mate yeah I've done long exposure before with an IR filter on the lens very nice results not tried on the modified camera yet tho
I love the IR shots. I use a smartphone for photos and am wondering could i use a filter in front of the lens to achieve similar results or are there limitations on the type of ccd in a smartphone? It's a fairly new S24 ultra I've got which has a pretty good 5x optical zoom before it goes into a digital zoom.
@@scottishcontentcreators to be honest I haven't a clue I can't see why it wouldn't work so long as there are no light leaks around the filter. Probably try a dirt cheap filter to see how it goes
Before I started to use cameras modified for only IR, I used IR filters on the front of regular DSLR's, so long as you use a tripod and long exposure's it is very doable.

Definitely get to NZ so much going on stunning locations and conditions never short of something to shoot

Nice one mate .I spent Christmas day there back in 2015

You might want to try very long exposures (30seconds + ) with IR, very interesting effects .

@tommypaterson Thanks, I'm looking at the filters and they're not expensive so I am going to give it a try. The advice is appreciated.
@scottishcontentcreators awesome mate I'll tune in see how ya get on
