What app would you use with the AI tracking module? 🤔
I bought this and it works great. AI tracking with a iPhone and iwatch to zoom in and out and press record and stop. THX for the great demo.
Thank you for such a great review. I have some additional questions. You mentioned the tracker/light should be placed in portrait position? Will that tracker not work in landscape position? Are there ports to add arms or other accessories that you can screw on? Is there plenty of room to attach a receiver for wireless microphone (such as dji)? If you reverse it to follow you to record with best camera, how hard is it to find the screen to stop recording while it's tracking you? That sounds like it would be elusive.

Bought this and received it today. Very light weight! Super smooth movements. The joystick movement is a bit fast even on the slow setting, I don’t see a way to adjust joystick speed. Another thing I’m seeing is with the auto tracking in portrait mode it puts your face in the middle of the screen where it would be nice to be on the upper third grid line. Would be great if the position of AI taking could be adjusted with the joystick and then it keeps your face in that x:y axis position.

Just adjust the positioning of the phone as it sits in the cradle of the gimbal. Tilt the phone according to how much room you want to close in or out. That was my problem until I figured it out to adjust the sitting of the phone in the cradle.
This is going to be interesting. I plan to try using this on mostly trail hiking situations where I enter the frame and pass by the camera, maybe from some distance at times. It would be nice if this would work with body tracking instead of facial. Not sure how it is going to work if it is not seeing my face. Sure do like the XYZ movement of the camera and working with any APP on the phone though instead of its own proprietary APP. Thanks for the first impressions here! Jeff

Does it work with a Sony Xperia 5 III? I have a DJI Osmo Mobile 3 and it just barely works with it. The phone has 4K video but will only work with the gimbal in 1080p.

Did Hohem M6 copy or licensed from Smove Pro
Don’t know but I do know that companies often acquire rights for certain products, features and software on different regions. This could be the case.
Hohem had an AI tracking module in the V2 years ago. The M6 is just the latest version of it. The modularity is likely inspired by the zhiyun gimbals that popularized that sort of feature.
So with all these on the market, it was inevitable that multiple companies would end up using this same ai module design. It’s the best way to do it.
Is this user friendly for just your average user or more for professional use
It’s pretty easy to use. Specially the tracking module.
Can it handle an add on lens?
I used a Sandmarc lens and so far so good!
