I'm sure you're always curious who's watching your videos (I would be) I'm a 59 yr old single white guy in the heart of Oklahoma, USA. I watch a LOT of cooking videos on RUclips (American, Asian, Mexican, "Soul Food" you name it) mainly for ideas (spices, techniques, etc) rather than just "recipes" alone and I just wanted to tell you that I really love your channel and have been subbed from the first one I seen. And what a cute girl you have! She is just the cutest, sweetest little thing and you are a lucky guy. I've been on my own for a very, very long time but I still have hope of finding my own "cutest, sweetest little thing" one of these days (especially one that would do the dishes after I get done making her dinner hahaha)
This is both an easy and a hard dish to make depending on your preferences. I almost always hit my preferred texture now, but it took me a while. A delicious while.
Totally agree, I have a close recipe now for what I want, because I've been trying to make a copy cat of a local Korean restaurants version. Mine is more like 4 eggs to 1+ cup water because theirs always has more of the broth in the bowl which we love scooping up with the egg. I'm still working on the water ratio, I just know last time I did 1 cup and it still wasn't enough loose broth despite still tasting great! lol
@@AaronandClaire Delicious! OK, maybe I didn't do it perfect and overcooked them a tiny bit but they were still delicious and will be even better the next time! 😋
That's a great idea! I often use instant ramen to make stir-fried noodles rather than soup and only use half the seasoning packet. Of course I save the leftover seasoning -- no waste! This would be a great use for some of it. 🥚🍜
I enjoy hearing you say , unbelievable. I don't think I will make your dishes until I hear Claire raving about them then it makes me want to go and try and cook it! ❤
I love making steamed eggs. And I am one of those weird people who throw in a couple of eggs after eating instant ramen/ramyun and microwave the eggs in the leftover broth. So tasty! I have a friend coming over next weekend to play with my cat so I can take a break, and I usually make dinner and feed him as repayment. I'm going to make either a Spam Jjiggae recipe or Dakbokkeumtang and I was pondering side dishes. I may have to make steamed eggs. :)
Oh Aaron, you’re tugging at my childhood heart. My mom and grandma always whipped these up, I always used their recipe and now…well I will be adding your recipe to my repertoire. Hi Claire! 👋🏻 ❤
My Korean roommate introduced me to steamed egg, which she called "fuzzy eggs" at first, when she had some friends over in our room. We didn't have a kitchen, so dorm-cooked meals had to be in whatever we could plug in at the table. She came and asked if she could borrow my rice cooker to make "fuzzy eggs," and I was a little confused, but said yes. Then she made this and I realized she'd meant to say "fluffy" but had gotten the words mixed up! I still have to laugh everytime I cook them and remember fuzzy eggs.
Aaron, I see you cooking in a clay bowl on a gas stove, are these bowls suitable for induction as well? Last year, all the gas connections were removed in these apartments so I can only cook on induction. But I can certainly try the microwave method.
Clay won’t work, only certain metals. Basically if you hold a magnet to the bottom and it sticks, you can use it for induction. Maybe you could use an adapter plate with it, search for “induction diffuser plate” with the right size.
Aaron: add half a teaspoon of chicken boullion powder.... Me: hmmm wonder if I can use dasida. Aaron 20s later: OR this dasida... Me: heh. I haven't found anything savoury I can't put dasida in, yet. 😂
How long did it take to clean the stove top and were you hospitalized for making that mess? I don't know if green onions flower but if they do, your fans should send them to the hospital for you.

Aaron, we are newly married and your recipes have been a salvation 🎉❤, thank you so much 😭🙏
I’m so glad our recipes have been helpful for you both. That means the world to us. 😍😍😍
I always get steamed egg when I’m at a Korean restaurant it’s so good
Tell me about it! 😍 Now you can make it at home anytime you crave it! 😎
I made this tonight for part of my dinner, so delicious. And I also just received my copy of your cookbook. I love it!
Where the heck are you getting your carrots?!? That was MASSIVE!😳
Haha that's awesome right? 🤣🤣🤣
Asian markets in the US always have the most massive carrots and radishes etc
Asian carrots are bigger than Western carrots. They're the size of small daikons. They also have large green onions, probably 10 times bigger
The guy she told you not to worry about 😔
Shopping trip to Chernobyl

I absolutely agree with you!! But it sounds like you've mastered it already my friend! 😎😎😎

Thanks 😊
I have never had eggs cooked like that. They look delicious and so fluffy. Yum!😋
👍👍I do this with my leftover instant roman soup using the microwave.

My kids’ favorite comfort food (with rice)!

I never would have thought of this. I’m super excited to try it out!! Just had dinner, so I’ll make this tomorrow!!
Just ordered your book. Fantastic! Love your recipes
That looks tasty! You must have carrots the size of traffic cones in Korea 😂
I think my carrot was a little bigger than that 🤣
@@AaronandClaire So Koreans have really big carrots.
I take notes.
OMG….that looks sooooo good. Gonna try to make them…microwaved.
Tomorrow's breakfast done! Thank you😊
Wow it looks delicious and I can try it at home
Love steamed eggs! ❤
I’m definitely going to try it
This looks delicious thank you
Just had this in Korea…..soooo good. Ok I will try.
It looks so tasty 😋 thank you so much for the recipe. Can't wait to try!
Hi , I have that cook book, I have been successful with several recipes in there. It’s also a beautiful book to look through.
Me too! Love it
We loved steamed egg too esp. breakfast time.
Yes! That's perfect for breakfast, right? 😍
Thank you. Definitely worth trying. 👍
Look so delicious
Jesus you two have to be the cutest couple. I can't stop smiling I swear 😂❤
I bought the book and after watching Jenny’s Kitchen in Iceland, i understand the cookbook better.
My granny always cooked our scrambled eggs in the microwave so I’ll probably try that version first! 😅
Good for you. I don’t have a microwave 😢 wife is scared of them for some reason 🤔
My “secret ingredient” is that Korean chicken powder too! It really enhances the flavor!!❤ Love your recipes!
Thank you. I’m going to do this. I love fluffy eggs!!!! Yummy. 💋
Thank you for watching!! Please let us know how it turns out! 😍😍😍

Thank you for the microwave method. I have always wanted to make top steamed eggs but I don’t have the pot so this is excellent!! ❤🇨🇦
My pleasure! Hope you enjoy the dish! ❤️
What size ttukbaeji did you use? I have the small and medium size and never sure how many eggs to use. Love your videos ❤
재밌네요🤣 잘 보고 갑니다!
재미있게 봐주셔서 감사합니다! 😆
your the best
At first, I thought he said “curry and steamed egg,” which also sounds yummy. :-)
I wouldn't really call this "steamed eggs" but boy does it look delicious.
I've got the ingredients to make this, although I usually poach the eggs before stirring/gently breaking. Maybe for dinner? 😊
Go for it, my friend! 🔥🔥🔥
Very nice sharing 😍👌❤❤❤❤❤,⌚ 8:36 🤗👍
MY FAV, IN SO CALI AS A MEXICAN SPANISH EAT THIS ALL THE TIME!!!
Can we make it with 3 eggs? if so, how much water would you recommend? 🙂
Yes please, 5 eggs seems a bit much to eat alone or as a side dish for one.
Although I would have to buy a smaller ttukbaegi for it I guess.
3 eggs would be about 2/3c. water
Hi Aaron! Could you share the link for the ttukbaegi? Thanks in advance.
Do you have a link to buy the special dish you used in the beginning?
Hi hi, May I know if this is possible to be done on induction/ceramic cooker? and is there a ttukbaegi that works on induction/ceramic cooker?
Aaron, I see you cooking in a clay bowl on a gas stove, are these bowls suitable for induction as well? Last year, all the gas connections were removed in these apartments so I can only cook on induction.

The curry I cook every month changes my life.
question - without adding the flavor can I just make eggs and water? and how do this way ? thank you
I hope I will find on your channel how to make this rolled omlet.
4:03 Aaron, I asked my parents for your book for Christmas. 📕🎅🏻
I've seen these pots at my local Asian market but can you use them on an electric stovetop? I'm guessing, no.
Can you use fish sauce instead of bullion and how much would I use?
Yes, you can add the same amount of fish sauce in this recipe! Hope you enjoy it! :)
Instead of chicken bouillon powder 🐔 can we substitute with dashi 🐟 🐠
Yes!
"When it looks like fluffy Sponge-bob" 😂😂😂
Aaron: add half a teaspoon of chicken boullion powder....
Me: hmmm wonder if I can use dasida.
Aaron 20s later: OR this dasida...
Me: heh.
I haven't found anything savoury I can't put dasida in, yet. 😂
today i learned i grew up eating microwave steamed eggs
❤❤❤

ttukbaegi ordered 🙂

This is Korean boiled eggs…it’s not steamed at all.
Would definitely try it🤎
Love the microwave method....
