I think at worst it "should" only result in the amount of time for your UI to go from low quality to whatever quality you selected to cache. Even then its only going to grab the content you play most.
@@Esoterric Because while something is downloading its taking some bandwidth away, with rural gaming I can also confirm that can make a massive difference to gameplay because the stability of the connection is terrible. I usually play on 80-110 ping depending if something is downloading or something else using internet in the house and god forbid I get sent to China with a 300+ ping 😂

theres really not a region favorite for fixes. If theres a bug, theres a bug, they fix it when they can and its pushed live once its stable. If something takes a while to fix its likely because the root of the issue is more complex than they thought

Usually play on PC but thought I'd check out CoD on Series X. Couldn't play that night because the download was so big. Found the game really hands me kills when I'm playing with controller. Couldn't chalk it all up to luck since I could barely look where I was going. Don't have a natural preference on whether the y-axis in inverted.
I downloaded the pre-release content yesterday and had to clean out 60+ gigs of space after it maxed out my drive. W/multiplayer it's currently taking up 264GB, and I'm praying that it is going to reclaim a lot of space when it actually applies.
I wonder how splitting the content will impact the tick rate on the server, at least the first time the cache is downloaded. I do something, the other player does something and content comes down in the middle... Its already bad, and I can't see this helping. I am also wondering what all the "this is how you optimize your pc to play cod" videos look after this update.
its mostly something thatll only be a thing when you're playing for the first time post update downloading all the textures to the cache, long term it shouldnt, in theory, have much of an impact

Static just needs a headshot nerf. Stg for sure needs a nerf, but then again, i think they should just make some or most ARs' first damage range to be increased along with body multipliers increased. Long range is STG killing faster than both SMGs n LMGs.
I play with texture streaming off, so the fact that the game will look worse now sucks that file size better get reduced significantly, not just by few gigs

I just want an update to stabilize servers, update to make ricochet effective and not a complete joke, and lessen the strength or sbmm/eomm (I know it won’t go away). Oh and maybe stop nerfing every gun and instead buff the weaker guns instead of nerfing the strong guns.
Good to here some maps are coming back to rotation these maps are getting old in multilayer. Most are just revamped maps over and over. Missing the older larger maps

THIS IS NOT A BENEFIT TO US. Activision's actual statement "We will ABUSE your internet, so that cod takes up less hdd space". This means multiple things. It means the game will run slower. It means the game will run laggier. It also means that it will use more internet bandwidth. This is a HORRIBLE change for players. If there is a problem with the size of cod, make it smaller. Texture streaming is an inherently FLAWED CONCEPT. Now it's so strong that it can't even be turned off.
@@WhosImmortal its a cache meaning that it's both limited and meant to store only what are believed to be common textures. Textures will be rotated in an out depending on what is needed at the time and the game will be downloading anything needed while you are playing.

I have only been shadowbanned once on my main account. Has anyone else been shadow banned less often recently? Also, should I avoid buying BO6 on PC If prior to owning a pc I bought it on ps5? I don’t want to risk getting shadow banned on pc for running multiplayer if it’s possible on pc. Hopefully I have a high trust score when it comes to shadow bans if that’s even a thing but who knows.
I've heard switching to pc after playing on console for some time can cause shadowbans to be a bit more "loose" I guess, but i cant directly confirm that. I think the PC experience is far better than console fwiw

More texture streaming on servers that stutter like crazy. This wont go well I'm sure. Few seasons back the only fix for the awful stutters was to disable on demand texture streaming... Now... Hey let's make you download more textures while you play 🤣

I have only been shadowbanned once on my main account. Has anyone else been shadow banned less often recently?
Also, should I avoid buying BO6 on PC If prior to owning a pc I bought it on ps5? I don’t want to risk getting shadow banned on pc for running multiplayer if it’s possible on pc. Hopefully I have a high trust score when it comes to shadow bans if that’s even a thing but who knows.
I've heard switching to pc after playing on console for some time can cause shadowbans to be a bit more "loose" I guess, but i cant directly confirm that. I think the PC experience is far better than console fwiw
