I bought my LR3 after watching your videos last year, it really gave me the confidence to know I could tackle anything and any potential maintenance issues! '07 165k miles and going strong! Keep up with the LR3 videos. All the best from Wiltshire
I have an 2008 RR Sport SC with 138k miles on it. I have had to replace the Air suspension since I purchased it with 104k also the control arms. And I know I need to replace the parking brake cable but I never use it so that light doesn't bother me. I would definitely purchase again because I am one of the guys who like going off-roading. I live in Kansas so I haven't had much fun in the snow as of yet. I have had this since 03/2017 and the last time it really snowed heavy here was 2013.
Same 2013 L320 . It will kick you square in the nuts sometimes but if your good on the tools . Nothing else compares to the drive and ability . Everything is doable if you want to . Great after market parts availability so why the hell not . Enjoy yours I irrationally love mine .
I personally have a 1997 Land Rover discovery D1/LR1, I love the thing it’s pretty reliable, parts are mildly cheap, easy to fix when something does go wrong, it is exceptional off road once the dif is locked it can go anywhere, it rides extremely well, I do all the work myself and I have learned so much from my LR. Turning drivers into mechanics since 1948
Bought a LR4 and your channel was definitely pushing on the positives! Wow, people cannot really understand until they drove one for 2-3 weeks. I just feel like driving this truck all the time and I don’t fully understand why. Sure it’s comfy; sure it will go almost everywhere; it is quiet, nice looking and I could go on… but there is something else that I can’t describe… it is simply FUN to drive and that puts a smile on my face every single time I’m behind the wheel! Cheers!
Bought a 2016 LR4 a few weeks ago. 109,000 miles. But it's like new. Never thought I'd ever be interested in a Land Rover. Saw an ad online..Wow. that looks really nice. Looked even better in person. Bought it out of the blue. Then had a snow and an ice storm a week later. My 20 years old Oldsmobile AWD sat and spun all 4 tires. LR4, not a problem. Now I'm obsessed with the whole Land Rover adventure! Thanks for this video. Sure I'm going to love mine over the coming years!
Yeah! You will love it! You’ll need an OBD2 tool (GAP tool recommended) though and keep an eye on any coolant leek (plastic pipes) and supercharger coupler (noise). The rest is pretty bulletproof if well maintained. Welcome to the family! Cheers!
I've been told by two salesman not to get a Land Rover. My heart is broken. They say it's not worth it and it will break down and cost too much money to fix. Idk what to do and who to believe. I don't know why people hate Land Rovers so much. My friend was looking at one as well, he was told the same thing from a salesman and that was at a different dealership than the ones I went to.
@@jcjanssen6391 Hi there! You have been told the truth. Like any car, it will break and will cost money. Too much? Well it depends on if you have a reliable small and local garage that can fix Land Rovers (where I live it's rare). If you go to the dealer every time something is up, then yeah, it will be too expensive. Example : Haldex on LR2 was over 10K at the dealer but it was $2500 at a small shop! ...and they ordered the parts from the LR dealer! Also, when you own a Land Rover and something gives, you better do some research on how to get it fixed. Getting a GAP IID tool (special OBD2 for LR) is a good investment for troubleshooting. You will be surprised, there are a lot of quick repairs that you can do yourself. Example : search for PCV valve replacement on a LR4. I just did that today in my driveway and it took 20 mins (had a check engine light, checked the GAP IID tool, checked a few videos on how to proceed and it was easy. Parts are expensive about like BMW or Mercedes I would say but there are cheaper alternatives that sometimes makes sense. You also need to watch videos about your LR model to get to know it and know the weak points ahead. For example, my LR4 was slowly leaking coolant. I ordered aluminium pipes to replace all the plastic pipes and changed the water pump while I was taking all this appart anyway. I'm really not a mechanics but it was fairly simple with the workshop manual (found online). The JLR engines really need to stay cooled otherwise they will get damaged (timing chain, gaskets, ...). Other then that, it's a normal truck. Breaks, oil, belts, pulleys... make sure you do your maintenances on schedule and it will pay off. Anyway, you will love to drive this truck so much that you will do the maintenances ahead of time ;o) I fully get that it's not for everyone but I hope this bit of info is helpful for your decision! Cheers!
I love mine. I am about to undertake a major, major service as I have decided to keep it running for another 10 years. Everything you said is 100% spot on; I love this car. We do a lot of 4x4 in the alps in Australia and we pass a lot of bogans in Toyotas.... poor bastards have never felt the comfort I feel going off road.
I went from being disappointed that my “dream car” (Discovery 2) doesn’t age well to learning all about the LR3 from you in 17 minutes and I am absolutely in love and inspired by the review. Thanks!
Yet again another great video. Glad to see you still got her. I still have mine. I absolutely love it to death. Hope you & your family are safe & well from this horrid virus. Warmest regards from Wales. (UK)
Glad to see someone really using the LR3 the way it was designed for. I had a LR3 and it’s an insane all rounder. I took my wife and 5 kids from the UK to France for 3 weeks and it soaked up the miles. I felt like I wanted to drive through every country the ride is so comfortable. When it comes to reliability, I’ve found people who really drive the thing it lasts and those who treat it with cotton wool gloves it seems to give them problems. Mine gave no problems and it’s actually an easy car to fix if you like to get your hands dirty. The dealers will charge an arm and a leg but do it at home and you will save a fortune. Before the LR3 I had a Jag X-type and 3 years and 100,000 miles that gave me no problems. Keep up with servicing and the LR3 will reward you. Glad you like it and happy future adventures in the LR3 or maybe the LR4.
I'm about to buy a 2005 LR3, only 55k miles and previous owners treated it perfectly. I am so excited. I have a big dog, and am trying to go on snowboarding and camping trips with my girlfriend, and it is just perfect for us. your videos are the best I've watched and I thank you for getting so detailed because you go into so many features that people miss!
Again I cannot describe how much I love your detailed and professional videos. I think you should be a key spokesperson for Land Rover. On another note, I’m still looking to purchase my first LR3. Hopefully within a few weeks I’ll have one. Great job and thank you so much for all the videos you’ve made thus far.
Happy to see you again ! I have a LR3 disco like yours but my is V6 HSE let me tell you that your videos help a lot to me , I’m very happy with this big car our truck ? All that you say in this video is the true I’m feel very represented . Thank you and please continue with the tips because it’s very helpful , Cheers from Norway 🇳🇴
Your first LR3 video talked me into getting one and now I can say its the best car I have ever owned. My favorite thing about the car is its functionality. You've got some of the best LR3 informative videos on RUclips, keep it up, man!
All of your videos are great! - I've had my 2007 LR3 for 13 years - only owner. I love it today as much as I did on day 1. I completely connect with your videos. Great on road, offroad, on snow. Amazing car. Super roomy! Everything fits in it. You inspire me to do a total cost of ownership video. The only things on my checklist now are: buffing headlamps (foggy after 13 years), dashboard is cracked, upper and lower A-arms need to be replaced. 2020-2021 projects. Great content man!
You are a man that takes care and appreciates what you own Definitely looked new. I'm a foreman for a lawn maintenance company and noticed the room you have in the land Rover to place that latter inside, my company has one like it. Thanks for your hard work with this video because if the day comes and perhaps soon I will consider this Land Rover good used. Thanks for your positive review on used ones.
Excellent, excellent video. This guy is so easy to watch. He has the perfect balance of being factual without ever sounding boring - which is not easy to pull off. Thanks for the upload, please do more videos. Fellow LR3 (Discovery 3) owner over the pond.
Great video, as always. Agree on all points. I have a 2012 LR4 with 100K miles on it. Replaced the water pump at around 50k miles and then the rear wiring harness for the back up sensors at 98k miles ($50 part and two hours taking the rear bumper off and on in the driveway). Everything else runs and looks almost flawless. I get comments all the time that my LR looks brand new. This is a great 7 seat family adventure vehicle. Perfect for commuting (except for gas mileage), winter activities and awesome for weekend family adventures in alpine timberline of the Rocky Mountains and the surrounding desert areas.
Love my 06 Disco 3. Bought in 9months ago with 188,000 miles, it needed a bit of work but nothing too drastic, been driving it for 6 months now and love the flexibility of the vehicle. Comfortable on long trips, lots of load space for hauling stuff around, tows well and does well offroad. The TDV6 is a really nice engine and the gearbox is fantastic, get great performance and good fuel economy. It's done 194,000 miles now and will need to do the cambelt very soon, but spare parts are easily available and there is loads of information online about any jobs that need doing.
hey my friend! Thanks for the video. I live in the mountains of Pennsylvania where I love to take advantage of the outdoors riding my Harley and a host of other things. Last week I bought a 2005 Land Rover Discovery LR3 HSE. It is beautiful and I love it. It is my third, having had a '98 and '99. This beauty has a few mechanical issues that I can handle with my skillset. I'm thinking about making a few videos myself as I make repairs. We'll see. As an aside, the transmission place you provided a link for in San Bernardino is in the town where I served in the USAF - Norton AFB (now closed). Small world. Happy Roving!! Stay safe.
Great Video. I just crossed 188k miles on my 2005 LR3 that I bought with 24k miles in 2007. I would buy again, but it is important to know I do most of my own work.
Hey Oxmanagain, Love the videos and as a 2006 LR3 owner, I agree with everything you posted, there is nothing like a Rover, this is my 5th and absolutely love all of them. They are timeless and a classy vehicle. Thanks for all you time and honesty.
Loved all of your videos and enthusiasm, I was a Land-rover test driver for 21 years working on prototypes, no doubt you will get a LR 4, I have The XXV 25 year anniversary model, check it out , it has every possible accessory , its so good the 4 is a lot better than the 3,, engine & gearbox etc, stay safe, warmest regards from Tamworth Uk
Love my 2008 RS Sport NA. I have 205k miles and she is strong as ever. I refreshed her with a 2010 auto biography kit and lights. She looks awesome. She never let me down. Some of my quirks are the rig is so heavy they beat on the control arms and bushings. I'm on my 3 set on the front.
Great video! I love my 05 LR3! I used to be into sport cars. Now I'm off road crawling up rocky mountains. I bought mine private party and they took really good care of it. I even got all the service records. The only thing I have to do now is go camping I've covered all of the other bases so far.
hey! I just purchased a 05 LR3 HSE and it is beautiful! I love it. It has a myriad number of issues, but I'm keeping it, anyway! lol fortunately I can do the work it needs....
So glad to meet you and find you on here. My wife and I have had a 2007 LR3 since 2011 and love it. Yesterday I saw your video about diagnosing a possible suspension problem and it helped me so much. Will be replacing my front height sensors first and hopefully not the rears but still not bad. I love all your Rover videos so far man, great info and you seem like a great guy. Stay safe and blessed and take care.
Thanks and I appreciate the support and the comments. It's interesting that you say you replace the height sensor because after I replace my valve block, now I'm about to replace the heights sensor. And that will solve my suspension problems all together.
I love my LR3 so much that I just replaced my entire air suspension system. 140K and it was starting to sag a little. New shocks, compressor, valves, and hoses. Where else am I going to find an SUV that has been maintained this well? My next one will probably be a Defender, but this has got a few years left before I even have to worry about it.
Another great film from you on the Disco. Thanks for posting it. I've owned mine for ten years and I still love, despite having a few issues with it along the way. As you say, if you can do some maintenance yourself then that will keep the expenses down. I do a lot of the basic work on mine and have been helped by your films. Keep them coming. And take a look at the films I've done on the Disco 3 if you get chance.
I bought my 2008 LR3 HSE almost 2 months ago. Black, with Alpacca leather...pretty much exactly like yours with 135K on it. I’ve been wanting one for over 3 years but shy away due to reliable issues. However, ever since running across your channel (over 3 months ago), I finally got one and loving it ever since. However, I have to disagree about the LR4...I like knobs and buttons. The LR4 (which I’ve test drove prior to buying the current LR3) is too “techy” for me. There’s more of a pick-up when accelerating compared to the LR3, but, I love the heavy-feeling of the LR3. Love your videos! Keep it up.
Thanks for giving me a different perspective on the LR4 as far as the knobs go. I do agree I really like buttons myself so I'm a little torn. Sounds like you got yourself a nice one if you ever have any questions feel free to ask and enjoy your new baby.
I just purchased a used 2006 LR3 with 158,000 miles onit and trying to learn everything I can about it. Thank you for taking time to share your knowledge and experience.
Man! That was the best car review I have ever seen. I like cruising through RUclips and checking out car/boat/gear/watch/etc. reviews all the time and this one is next level. You put so much care into being thorough, and it is evident how much work you did to keep the video engaging and fresh with all the different shots and footage. Two thumbs up for being ten toes down. Great stuff!
Really great video, I’m looking at upgrading my Freelander 2 next year, this has made my mind up, I also own a Defender, both have been very reliable, there’s a lot of hate out there for Land Rover, usually from people who have never owned one!
Thanks for the great review. One of the most realistic non dramatized Land Rover review. I have an 07 LR3 since 2014. Had 89,000 miles ,on it and I do all maint. myself, now its at 159,000. Most issues I've had were normal wear and tear you would find on any vehicle. If you take care of them they will last. I did swap the air suspension out for AB Coil overs. Still love mt LR. Thanks for the video, take care.
Hey! I've been looking for a nice SUV with decent offroad ability for a few months now.. started looking seriously at VW Touarags... then moved onto Discoverys and found your vid. Really love the honest, detailed and down to earth view of the car you did here. Great video. Keep up the good work! Easy sub. Love your channel btw :)
@@oxmanagain 2006 HSE HD black with black interior. 205 k miles and has never failed us. Not that it hasn’t need work haha. They always do, but it has a great habit of breaking down when we get home.
Hi. Great video, would like to add as you mentioned great for camping a couple of times, it's great to lay one's sleeping bag out and have a sleep. I live in Norfolk here in the UK, and a camping trip to Scotland is a 650 mile ride to get to the Scottish Highlands. As I am of advancing years, can't do it in one drive as I used to do, just get so tired. However I don't won't to stop for the entire night. Three hours sleep in the back of the Landy in my sleeping bag by the side of the road often refreshes me enough so I can drive on. No overnight costs incurred. Enjoyed your video, particularly as I love my Disco 3, bit more basic than yours, no leather seats or sun roof, never heard of a 'moon roof,' you Americans are just so pampered. 😁 Only joking! You and your family stay safe through these uncertain times and enjoy your Landy as I do mine.
Great review mate, I have the Range Rover Sport that is based on the LR3 and I love it. I'd like the interior space of the LR3 but the engine options for the Sport. Cheers mate :)
I’m a 2016 LR4 Landmark owner. Bought my black on black on black new. I was hesitant when I bought my first luxury vehicle fearing the brand’s history of poor reliability. After 80k not one issue. No electronic gremlins. I did have to apply my fix to the finicky 2nd and 3rd row sunshades. I live in the mountains of Colorado and I have been car camping, over rocky trails, Sand Dune trails, fishing, hunting, and the list goes on. I have taking it to conferences, the theater and always looked chic. I have hauled plenty of hardware with room to spare. I have taken the family across states in comfort and little road fatigue. I trust I will get as much enjoyment through the years as you did. Thanks for the great videos. You gave me the idea of buying aftermarket to bring to the dealership if need be.
Thank you for sharing your story and I appreciate you for taking the time to watch my video. I agree with you it's very hard to see me in another SUV. You just inspired me to go do more. You enjoy the rest of the day.
We just bought our first landrover LR4 and love it. It is a crappy situation due to the dealership clearing the codes and hiding the timing chain issue that is prominent on the 5.0 DOHC but it’s at the shop getting fixed and we can’t wait to get it back!!
Hi great video, I have an 07 one and I love it. I;m like you, the only car I would replace it for is the LR4/ Discovery 4 but even then it would be hard as I love the car. Take care and stay safe from Liverpool England.
I binge watch your videos all the time. I’m looking to buy the Disco 3 and you’re giving me confidence. The one I want has around 180k miles / 290k km. Great video man. 🇿🇦
I love the LR3. Great review. If I'd have purchased the LR3 like I was looking for rather than the L322 Range Rover, I'd probably still own a modern rover. Your Jag V8 is supposed to be more reliable than the LR4's 5.0L or even the current V6s. You have one of the most reliable platforms Land Rover has ever made. Oh, and if you are concerned about Land Rover parts costs, try a Toyota Land Cruiser...ugh! Unlike Land Rover, you have few options for high quality aftermarket parts and OEM is actually more expensive than LR. If you are ever in Utah and want to hit the backroads, hit me up.
I bought a black '08 2.5 years ago and have really enjoyed my time with it. In fact, your videos influenced my decision. Which ultimately influenced my dad's when he drove my LR3 and ended up buying an LR4 several months later. You also mentioned your other cars but didn't address that pre-facelift Volvo S40, which I coincidentally also own 👍👍 Anyway, thanks for the great content and wish you many happy miles ahead!
Love your review !! I have LR3 since 2006 till now. Mind is almost 200k still love it . Wish want to get a same LR3 today as well . LR3 never ages and never outdated it . It still looks stunned it , the best design ever !!!
Thanks so much for all your Land Rover Videos. I've been watching for a while and actually bought one with confidence because YOUR your videos. Its a later model used 2006 102 miles on it. I bought it two years ago so 2018 but I always wanted one and now I am at 125 miles. We use it a lot from work, school to the outdoors . Love going camping with our 5 kids and 3 dogs. Hitch up the trailer and go. I might upgrade to a LR4 as well love the brand. One thing I have learned is make sure you get to a Land Rover Dealer to do a once over on it just to make sure everything is working properly if you buy used. Do your research and find out what upcoming issues might need to be replaced. Get regular maintenance and be proactive cant stress that enough, if you take care of it and are proactive it will be worth it.
Great video my friend. I am just about to go on a 3 week camping holiday with my kids and it is the ONLY Landrover I can get all our kit inside. Yes, they go wrong sometimes but they will go anywhere and Jeremy Clarkson took one up a mountain in Scotland which has never been repeated by any other production car. In the UK, they are the only car you can drive across a field and then turn up outside a 5 star hotel in London covered in mud and nobody would care. Definitely get an LR4 when you can and get the CUBBY FRIDGE which goes in the armrest. Means you can have a cold beer when you arrive at a campsite. :-)
Thanks for this video. I appreciate your input. I work on my own car and have a for a long time. I actually can’t remember the last time I took my car to a mechanic. With that said, even though I can and do work on my own cars, I can’t like, pull an engine and rebuild it or anything like that. When I was researching Discovery’s, I learned about their terrible reputation for blowing head gaskets and all that. That’s definitely something I don’t want to deal with. I stop looking into Land Rover because of it. I saw an LR3 and started looking again and it seems like these newer generation ones are much more reliable. Thanks for this video. I’m actually getting excited now.
Love all the videos! I replaced my air struts all round after watching one of your previous uploads. Very helpful and informative as always. Hope you're keeping safe and well, best wishes from N.Wales UK 😊
I'm glad I was able to help you. It always makes me feel good when somebody lets me know they enjoyed my video and it was helpful. I appreciate you watching all the way from Wales thank you all the way from United States you have a good one yourself stay blessed.
...please keep the videos coming, they are fun to watch. I have had an '05 HSE since new and picked up an '06 HSE a few years ago as well. I've conquered a lot of terrain in my '05 and took it as far as the Yukon Territory in 2014. One point I disagree on. The LR4 is great, but the LR3 is better. The LR3 's materials are more rugged, and the 4.4 is bulletproof. Cheers!
An awesome video, thanks for making this! Loving to see these positive reviews of LRs for a change! I've been trying to find a "cheap and reliable" alternative for a Discovery 3 (LR3) for about a year now, including Nissan Pathfinder, Hyundai iX55 (Veracruz) and Mercedes GL. But the only car I've really liked so far has been LR3. I'd also prefer Discovery 4 (LR4), since it has better engine choices here, but used Disco 4s cost about twice as much as older LR3s with similar mileage. And many of those LR4s here have been converted into two-seater vans, because of a taxation loop hole.
I don’t normally leave comments but your review was great to watch coming from a 2011 Range Rover Sport HSE Lux owner with over 100K miles from delivery. Expensive to own only if you don’t keep it maintained.
Hi - Thanks for the updated long term review. You did a great job on putting this togeather, I really appreciate the time and effort you put into it. I still havent got one yet but really, really want one : )
@@oxmanagain so you defo think lr4 is the way to go? I want to get another 6 months out of my current vehicle and then I’m 100% getting a disco... lr3 or lr4 is the only question in my mind... your enthusiasm and passion for this vehicle is clear and really got me hyped!!! Love it!
@@oxmanagain not sure if you have made this video or not but I’d be super interested in any buying advice you have or things you have learned that would influence a future purchase. Again, appreciate your vids.
Thanks for all of your videos of the years my friend. You've been a great source of information and saved me lots of money on my LR3 (130k miles). Sold my Disco 2 (124k miles) and someday I will have the LR4!
Thanks for that test. I loved mine but I sold it because a repair was coming up for the suspension where the dealership told me I have to pay at least 11.000 Euro for a 10 year old car. Unfortunatly I sill miss it. :-)
Love my 06 LR3 SE then my 15 LR4 LUX.. LR3 is truly unique. I’m going over landing today.. this video just motivated me to do it👊🏼 More videos, keep up the great work!
Hi, I’ve been thinking about getting a D4/LR4 and watching your video has got me excited about that prospect. A wonderful review, thank you. Daniel Southampton, England.
@@oxmanagain I got an '07 atacama sand. which BTW has the American British Coil Spring conversion. Although it does obviously lose the height adjusting, everything else like terrain response still works great. www.roverparts.com/suspension/air-coil-suspension-kits/L319SRK-ABPL/ Drives real smooth on and off road. In case your air suspension fails. Cheers man!
Love the videos. I've had my LR3 for the past two years. Love it. Going to drive it for a few more years and give it to my kids, then buy a 2015 LR4. My wife has a Disco 5, which I like too, but its not as tough looking as the LR3/4.
I have a 2006 LR3 with 112k miles. Your spot on ,love your series always watch and learn. I went camping , loved it. Found a unique pleasant feature missing, while sleeping in the cargo area on my inflatable mattress. I woke to relieve myself only to realize OH @#$% there's NO inside handle to open the tailgate. So luckily I managed skoot up to a rear door over all my gear, opened the door, setting off the alarm. Ugh, the remote was stashed away of course lol. All this chaos because you are locked in with no means of opening the rear from INSIDE. Had to share.
Nice work and thank you, year ago picked up 2009 LR2 50k miles for daughter, it’s all we want to drive. Wanted LR3/4 at that time, now looking at new Discovery but I think LR4 is it. Think “Boxier” look is the way to go, bronco tried to bring back boxy and so will others
Have a 2007 LR3 HSE and we’re absolutely happy with it. Best car hands down. Comfortable, roomy. As you point out, not a sports car, but decent acceleration. I do many of the small things myself, found an excellent mechanic shop for the tricker parts (SF Bay Area based). It drives like a tank - and maybe the only negative, consumes fuel like it’s free. Learned a couple new tricks watching your video - thanks so much. God bless, stay healthy and positive.
Dude, you did a great job accurately and fairly pointing out the amazing benefits and issues of this splendid and broadly competent vehicle. I owned one for a few years, and loved it, when it wasn't in the shop. Unfortunately, we averaged $3,000 per year in maintenance, but what a great car. If I didn't need to be more reliably available (not in the shop) in the winter to get my wife and children down 3,500 ft of elevation into Denver on their daily commute, we would still keep it. Well done.
I appreciate the fact that you took your time to let me know that. Thanks for the comment and I appreciate you for watching. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask.
Great video and ownership recap. Unfortunately people just won't know unless they own one. We owned one years back and it was an amazing car. Expensive to repair at the dealer, but a wonderful car. So much so that I'm looking to buy another one. I can't explain how great they are all around. Even my wife LOVED it. I don't think she'll be mad one bit if I show up with another one as a susprise.
Well I bought three to rebuild one haha. First I found a really clean white 06 with a blown head gasket for $1200, then I got a range rover sport with only 80,000 miles from Copart for $1500 ( just for the engine and trans ), I also found and another parts lr3 for $500 that I took a bunch of parts from. Then sold all the parts I didn’t need, and now I have a really clean white 2006 LR3 with 80k miles and I’ve only spent $3k. Your video about the Removing the engine fan was a huge time saver! this was my pandemic project to keep me busy while I was bored at home 😉. Thanks again producing LR3 content. 👍🏽 But I wish you would’ve told me sooner to get a LR4 😑. Lol
Great video, liked it a lot. I’ve a ‘12 L322 and it’s been great and I do all the work myself. If you take it to the dealer that’s when costs get out of hand. Great Chanel!
I watched your first few vids, I was just thinking about you and how the truck was fairing. Nice surprise to get the update. My 2004 is still hanging in there. Went to look at the new defender (not to imprrssed) also the new "Grenadier" (not land rover but looks like one) I can decide yet.
Good to know you're satisfied with your Rover, I had a 2011 sport but it suffered engine damage, ended up getting rid of it and buying a Range Rover Evoque, I miss my Sport but am very satisfied with my Evoque
I bought my LR3 after watching your videos last year, it really gave me the confidence to know I could tackle anything and any potential maintenance issues! '07 165k miles and going strong! Keep up with the LR3 videos. All the best from Wiltshire

2011 Land Rover LR4 owner for 6 years. Love these rigs! Thanks for the great review.

You seriously changed my stereotypical perspective of Land Rover. Thanks!!
Cheers!
Well said!
That’s why there’s Lexus. 😉
👍👍👍 221k miles on my 2005 LR3. It burns no oil between oil changes. I never thought I would like it as much as I do. Awesome truck!
Me too...
@@Armandinho8 Me three.... I mean, LR3!
Thanks for leaving your comment and thanks for watching.
Fellow LR3 (Discovery 3) owner over the pond.
man, i didn’t want this video to end! was hooked the whole time, you’re a naturally great presenter. subbed
Is it true the body has to come of to replace the water pump
Sam Waide , hi Sam no you don’t , check out ATLANTIC BRITISH parts video, replacing LR 4 water pump, also same for RR Sport .
Love this video. You say everything that needs to be said without sounding boring or too geeky,. This is some great content!
These are the reasons I love my LR4 too, thank you for the vids and positive attitude.
We have a 2006 LR3 with 150k miles and we love this vehicle!! We still get tons of comments! Thx for the videos!
Great video. Simple, clear and informative versus the theatrical garbage car reviews that are 98% of RUclips car reviews nowadays. Nice job.
I just purchased a used 2006 LR3 with 158,000 miles onit and trying to learn everything I can about it. Thank you for taking time to share your knowledge and experience.
I have a 2006 LR3 HSE, and I have loved it from day one, thank you for the great review!
Hi from the UK. I have a Discovery 3 and love it. Your channel will be very helpful with maintenance, Thanks
I own a 08 LR3 (211K miles), it's my daily/work horse/vacation/off-road/overlanding vehicle, and I enjoyed every mile I put it in the odometer.
211,160mi LR3 here, my favorite thing is the turning radius!
Been watching your videos for years as a fellow LR3 owner. Well done.
I appreciate the support and thanks for watching my videos. What year is Your Land Rover?
We are pretty pampered. Haha thanks for watching and I appreciate your story.
Great video wanted a landrover last 50 yrs worry over reliableability has put me of think its time i got one thanks from Ireland
Thanks for leaving your comment and thanks for watching.
Thanks for the videos
My LR3 SLE is still going well, maintenance is always needed, but a great vehicle.

I binge watch your videos all the time. I’m looking to buy the Disco 3 and you’re giving me confidence. The one I want has around 180k miles / 290k km. Great video man. 🇿🇦
I appreciate your support. If you have any specific questions that might help feel free to ask.
Nice one Oxmanagain! I bought myself an 07 LR3 HSE last week and your videos have been a great help!
That's cool. What year and what color?
oxmanagain 2007 Silver. It came with a Baja roof rack and 6 KC HILITES on it. I love it.
You also mentioned your other cars but didn't address that pre-facelift Volvo S40, which I coincidentally also own 👍👍
Anyway, thanks for the great content and wish you many happy miles ahead!
Thanks for all your support and stay blessed.
I'm surprised 3 years later you still haven't been hired by Land Rover
Your reviews and videos are why we bought our 2006 LR3 with 82k miles for $8k. Love it!
...please keep the videos coming, they are fun to watch.
Cheers!
Keep up your videos.... helped me buy a used LR3 and driving it well around East Africa (Uganda and South Sudan)! Cheers!
Thank you my man. I changed out my thermostat in my LR3 SE 2006 and it runs fine but the temperature never reaches to operational.
I can't believe I haven't seen this video yet. I've been using your videos to test my lr3 theory. I'm glad I'm buying the lr4 thanks brotha
Love my 08 LR3 most of the time. every Rover has some problems but I can honestly say I'll always have one in my driveway.
I know it is hard to find another vehicle to replace the LR3. Thanks for watching.
My guy you are killing me with these videos. Will be my next vehicle for sure, and after watching your channel I want one soooo bad!
I feel you. I'm actually looking to get either LR4 only because of the miles.

They're both good options for different reasons. But for me the LR4 is just a little newer and I like the interior design just a little better.

Great video dude! Nicely broken down into set chapters for easy navigation 🙂
Yess been waiting for this for a while
Thanks for that test. I loved mine but I sold it because a repair was coming up for the suspension where the dealership told me I have to pay at least 11.000 Euro for a 10 year old car. Unfortunatly I sill miss it. :-)

Thanks foe sharing your story.
Great review, I love my LR3! Agree with everything you said.
Thanks for the comment and the blessings. You do the same and have a blessed day. You just inspired me to go take a road trip today.
Well done.
I have my lr3 2005 190.000 miles works great!!!
I would like to compliment you on your videos. I thoroughly enjoyed your style and editing. Thank you
I appreciate the fact that you took your time to let me know that.
I just picked up a Lr3 because of your videos. 😘👍🏽
Hope you enjoy it! What year and color?
I agree with you about the new Land Rovers looks. Thanks for the support and you have a great day.
@@oxmanagain what are your thoughts on the new grenadier? ruclips.net/video/PJguNBmlvuo/видео.html
The amount of work in this video is incredible and now I'm sold on getting the lr3
Hey! Loved your video! Hello from Costa Rica! I own a LR3 almost the same as yours!
Great video, super knowledgeable and experienced LR3 user, exactly what I was looking for!
Good to know you're satisfied with your Rover, I had a 2011 sport but it suffered engine damage, ended up getting rid of it and buying a Range Rover Evoque, I miss my Sport but am very satisfied with my Evoque
