This worked for me for about 24-48 hours the first time. So what worked for me was running it for 12 hours, then switching the polarity running for 12 hours etc. It will go to sleep on its own but when it comes back on without switching the polarity it throws the low salt. Unfortunately I’ve gone through 1 or more of these a year. We’ve pulled all kinds of tricks but without fail you are lucky if this system will get you through an entire season. The 26669 eg has been the best intex chlorinator we’ve had of all the ones up to 15,000 gallons

Thank you for the info. They definitely seem to have problems. If mine has the same issue and it’s no longer under warranty I’ll look for a different option.

Reversing the polarity worked for about month for me.

For me it would only work for a few days but that was enough time to get me by.

I’ve owned 6 of these. This one has lasted the longest at about 15 months. But it’s working on self clean mode with 14 hours then suddenly puts itself to sleep and says low salt. Others we’ve had to open up and bypass the wiring to the low salt. How long is then warranty good?

The warranty is only 1 year. Mine was just under 12 months so I made the cutoff. You can also buy the titanium electrode instead of buying a whole new system.

My is still throwing the code after changing the poles around and putting in the new electrode intex sent

Sorry this didn’t help you. If you had an issue with the titanium electrode both of those methods should have fixed it. You obviously have something else going on. If your salt levels are good call Intex back and have them ship you a new unit.
