    When I first started riding motorbikes it was my everyday mode of transport and was considered a poor man's form of transport. I went to a Harley get together a few years ago and it was full of bank managers business men / women and lawyers so I decided to buy a 10 year old Triumph. Love your Channel, Jerry, we can all dream . Beautiful bike , great review .

    Just went to a local dealer here in Ohio. "Hall of Fame HD", formerly "Rubber City HD". Wanted to see what they'd give my as a trade-in for my 2019 SGS. I know the new CVO RG is $43k. One of the first things the salesman tells me is that the bike is a "mid-$50k price". I asked him where the hell the extra $13k came from. His response was "dock fees, delivery fees, taxes, etc..."
    That is just outrageous. I mean, $43k for the bike alone is pretty stupid, but an added $13k just in fees and taxes is absolutely ludicrous. HD cares nothing for loyal riders. They only want doctors and lawyers and trust fund babies to buy their bikes. I love their bikes but I'll never own another brand new HD.

      Yeah it's really unfortunate. They seem to want to become a more "exclusive" brand instead of making affordable bikes for a large market. Even the Nightster being the cheapest bike is going to go out the door for 15K plus, so they don't even seem to want to have a good affordable beginner option for people

      First I own two different Harley’s. All the fees are added on by the dealer. With is the extra profit for them. Harley has a reputation for trying to rake over their customer base. I am just not impressed by all the extra fees. My Ideology. Let the bike sit. Most days now Harley dealerships are empty with very few people coming in them. We’re getting ready to see a strong downturn. In this market pretty soon. Harley claims their repos are up due to financing used bikes out 96 months. Which is completely outrageous. They’ll be on the bread line soon. I’d be the second owner of consider a new BMW . At half the cost.

    Great Video, seen the 6k upgrade paint model. Fantastic looking! Everyone thought it was outstanding in the sun. (It surely popped) New Castle PA. Harley Dealer had a 120 yr annaversary invite, food, vendors, a band and Company trailer test rides. Bill the owner is a cool guy. He did a great job! You forgot to mention the outer laced wheels. Cool design maintaining tubles tires. Somthing much appriciated in the event of a flat on the road. Plug and return to riding with a portable kit. Ask my friend Mike, said it was a life savor!

    Best review of the features I've seen. HD may well have had Brembo brakes but man, these are now 'radial' mounted calipers. HD has certainly moved ahead. But still, this thing in orange costs $70K in Australia, yet still missing stuff found on BMW and Triumph like - the CVO has no 'Lane Assist' feature, no 'Active' Cruise Control; No electric adjustable suspension at the handlebars; and ride modes that appear to be lacking - ride modes typically would also automatically change some suspension settings to match, eg, going from Road Mode to Sports mode also stiffens the suspensions (even the Pan America has that,). At least HD is getting there (at a very very expensive price), even though these features are now only on the premium CVOs whereas others brands also have many of these features on other lesser models as well.

    It is a beautiful motorcycle with lots of nice features . I personally would buy the BMW K 1600 B Before purchasing this CVO. My main reasons are more Tech better handling more Powerful and $10000 cheaper. And before anyone gets mad I am definitely a Harley guy. Proud owner of a 2011 WideGlide. No motorcycle manufacturer has ever giving me anything free. So I definitely have no Brand loyalty. This is still a beautiful motorcycle to me. Very well done HD.

  • @jimseidel3577
    @jimseidel3577 11 месяцев назад +3

    Sorry Harley have lots of pressure on them thanks to competition. There has been many changes and Harley is still falling short of Indian when you match them dollar for dollar! The best part is inverted suspension and the turn signs incorporated into the faring, again Indian already has that! The faring shield is a little weak as well. Just can’t see the dollar value when you match it against its competitors!

    I'm a fan of the new CVO, not on the price of course, but I'm glad to see the Motor Company is doing some innovating. However, I have to ask, at this price point, I've always understood the Showa suspension was not that great, maybe I'm wrong but it seems like they could have gone with Ohlins over Showa.

    Howdy 👋 I have a question for ya brother and with the best intentions to ask said question. So here it goes: What is the review based on? Are you comparing it to a SG you own or as far as how it rides in general? And if it’s based in general why you liking or disliking this bike affects or steers the consumer towards or away from buying one? Thanks for putting this video out. Take care and again NOT trying to be a troll I just want to understand since I wasn’t born here in the States and would like to get in the mindset is all. Thanks again 🫡🇺🇸🌵

But having a Harley Davidson under your pants means alot to some people, I'd love to have an HD but pretty happy with my Vulcan for the moment, 60k is quite a bit of coin for a bike and just think if you customize it even more, oh man my wallet 😢😢😢, but for you that can swing it congrats your getting a nice looking bike.

    They were bummed at how indian/victory looking it was thought to look like at my local harley dealer when i peeped it out yesterday and as an indian rider i thought that comment was kinda funny. Now everyones going to look the same at the rallys n out there on the road? Idk imo i think its sweet. I still cant believe its the same chassis with piggy back shocks though. Kinda strange. Either way im excited for hd and getting to see fresh faces out there on the road to look at when this new styling hits all the trim levels between tourer models. For $43k atleast you dont have to do anything but some louder mufflers. I actually think its a fair price in todays crazy market considering every bell n whistle has been thought of. Ill take two! Lol

There is no comparison to the Indian. It’s a better look, a more modern look for Harley. I hope that makes its way down into the regular Street Glide and the Special, as well as the Ultra Limited. I like the shape of the headlight. I absolutely like what I’m seeing with the display screen. The tray under the screen is needed because the current little cubby hole is no good. I do like the new lines down the sides. I’m not sure about the “rounded” saddle bags. That looks odd to me. It may grow on me. I have to say though, the taillights look cheap and the fit and finish looks off. If they didn’t have a big seem at the top and if they were flush with the back of the bags, it would be much better. As is, it just looks awkward and like an after thought. I can’t wait to see how that 121 runs. I have a friend who is a dealer who tells me this engine was built with EPA standards in mind primarily and performance secondarily. The suspension along with the lighter weight should be great. I can’t wait to see how that feels. I’m on my way to Sturgis in less than 2 weeks. Maybe I’ll get to test ride one. Another thing I like is the adjustability of the wind, both from the side and from the windscreen.

      It’s ugly bro! I hope the look stays with CVO and not make it down to the specials!

    So many upgrades... But the rear shocks situation for a bike that costs this much is a travesty. Should have been a monoshock.

    Looks fabulous. The passenger pegs should be Mini Floors- (i can only imagine chicks bitching haha) - Im more a Road Glide fan. Look forward to when ya shoot some of that Content!
    Blair… does this new SG fairing feel lighter to steer?

      I may get to make a video with a RG CVO tomorrow. It’s already sold so probably no test ride. I didn’t notice a lighter feeling but I know the bike is 30-35lb lighter overall.

    Ok, new CVO in that color $50k, or a new Goldwing Tour DCT $30k. I’m taking the Goldwing and $20k in my pocket.

    HD always 5-10 years behind the competition. Finally a TFT display, riding modes, LED turn signals but still no electric windscreen! $50-60k bike should have that and more.🙄 extremely overpriced and under engineered.

    $6000 for paint is more than what Mercedes Charges for an optional color on an S class… Range Rover charges $710 for a Metallic Red…. Tesla charges $3000 for its Metallic Red… so Harley is way out of line. IMO…. All that being said the CVO is nice, the bright dash is changeable…

    The music at the end is distracting, would be easier to understand you without the music. Great detailed video otherwise 😁

    Not sure all the changes are for the better. The horn is stupid, the rear pegs are terrible looking, the short engine guards are useless if you are in the rain, all the controls on the handlebars, the yellow reflectors back on the front forks, the huge ugly brakes. I think the only thing I like is the engine size and the tray for the phone. Definitely not buying one of these.

    So I bought this bike. I seriously regret it. At 6'3". I cannot ride it. The bar layout is absolutely terrible for a tall person. Called the dealer and I will be returning the bike. I have owned it two weeks less than 50 miles on it.

    I dont like the aesthetics at all. I dont like the new batwing and headlight, dont like the bags, really dont like the shape of the rear filler panels. Its almost like a lowrider st with a batwing. Not everybody loves the bagger racer boy look. I prefer stretched bags stretched rear with a big motor

    • @throttleblip9854
      @throttleblip9854  11 месяцев назад +1

      I’d imagine the Special models will continue to come with stretched bags. Definitely odd the CVO doesn’t. I like the short bags but I’m not a CVO buyer.

      @throttleblip9854 im not acvo buyer either. I prefer to customise my bikes to my taste. Including the paint. My 48 is arat buildbut withhard candy style racing stripes and all paint complet with a suicideclutch setup. my deluxe is a vicla with tonnes of chrome. My street glide special has a 131 with a cam, ohlins shocks and a hot rod inspired paint job on the way.
      I did want a cvo at one point but i think that would hinder my desire to modify
