- Here is my video featuring the VERY FAMOUS 1974 Westinghouse Selectomatic Mark IV Elevators with PTL fixtures at The Hilton Atlanta!!!! These were the very first elevators filmed by an elevator enthusiast, Dieselducy back in 1993!!!! So these are the first enthusiast filmed elevators ever!!! This video is dedicated to him because of that.
As of right now this hotel is undergoing renovations as the hotel got new management in October 2015. I Didn't see any signs of elevator modernization happening, but it could happen. I hope not and i don't see the need to.
I just filmed the Internal and External Glass Scenic Elevators. Not the non glass ones.
Anyways, enjoy this video i took of some of the most famous elevators with ems318 and Northeast Elevators, and tell me what you think of the new intro!!!!
Installed: 1974 (Westinghouse Selectomatic Mark IV)
Modernized: Circa 1990's to 2000. (PTL fixtures and controller upgrades, unknown who modded them)

The rooftop restaurant can only be accessed by using the glass elevator!
I filimed these not that long ago. On the way up on the internal glass elevators i shouted these things are filming. I did the same thing as you i just filimed both sets of glass elevators but not the non scenic elevators.
The 28th floor when you went up there was scary!!

What ever happens, i hope these don't get key-carded. Since more than half of the Atlanta hotels have key-carded elevators, It could be a part of the many locked off elevators in Atlanta.
I agree these elevators better not get locked off since they are very special and famous but that RFID key-card reader to the left worries me big time. It can't be there for nothing, can it?
@@aceee06 usually 26-28 is keycarded, as those are the executive levels

I never thought I was going to say this but they have floor passing Charles it's a very faint Westinghouse luck to Maddock Mark for just like before passing time on the ETA elevators at 450 Sutter St. in San Francisco when I went to the Hilton I got the other Nikolai's roof elevator and I couldn't really hear anything because it was so loud
what is the selectomatic thing?
These used to have Selectomatic panels and use a Selectomatic controller, basically Westinghouses' equivalent to Otis Autotronic. The panel was replaced by a more digital kind

These aren't selectomatic. I've been in the motor rooms fit all the main elevators and service ones except #9 these have MCE controllers from the late 90’s

See the thing here is that these got modded in 1999 by MCE and PTL they are still called Westinghouse because they still have the original motors and Governor’s.
The original 1974 is starting to wear out
