- Enjoy some extended footage of the Westin Peachtree Plaza in Atlanta. After riding up the 70+ floor scenic elevators, we go around the observation deck on the top level enjoying views for miles in every direction. This was a great introduction to the city! Featuring ems318.

This Westin is so storied on my end. I’ve stayed here 6 previous times dating all the way back to 2007, and my last four stays have dated to December 2014, where the hotel itself was renovated in early 2014. It looks WAYYYY better than it used to, especially the lobby and the rooms! I’m staying here again in April.
Awesome vantage point of the city, wow! Never been to ATL but obviously the Westin there shares some similarity to the Ren Cen here in Detroit.
Cool video! Nice-looking hotel too! I definitely intend to visit that observation deck if I ever get to return to Atlanta after a 12 and a half year absence so far. I typed this comment in early February of 2021, and want to try to visit Atlanta in March of 2021 so I hope the pandemic didn't shut down the observation deck..
you have a amazing channel and I love your car wash videos!!!! you have a new sub
The Delta Flight museum is putting an Elevator in there future Boeing 747 exhibit it might be something cool to check out in the near future when it opens up in 2017
I live in Macon Georgia, and whenever we go to Atlanta, we eat at the restaurant at the top.
When the one guy says that for a time the hotel was the tallest in the world he may be correct but only barely. There is an exact duplicate of the Peachtree in Detroit and their heights are virtually identical. The Peachtree may have edged the one in Detroit out due to which entrance was used. For example, the Sears Tower in Chicago used to list it's official height as 1,454 ft. However, the tower had entrances on multiple streets and they used the lowest street to add a few feet to the building's height. Now they use the main entrance to record the height and since that entrance is 4 feet higher than the lower one, the building's official height is now 1,450 ft. The same scenario occurred with the Peachtree in Atlanta.
Wow Beautiful
I didn't know you filmed walking into the hotel! I was so busy explaining about the elevators here! Lol!
That little GoPro is sneaky :)
is the westin atlanta the tallest tower
Tallest hotel, but not the tallest building in Atlanta. BOA Plaza is the tallest building in Atlanta.

I should probably get back to Atlanta soon. I was here back in 2010 and this was where I stayed. It was cheap only because of the renovations and the tornado damage this building had at the time
Why say here when the finest hotel in town is right down the street? ruclips.net/video/dgrNIrJ4nzY/видео.html
+The Elevator Channel Haha, the most luxury hotel you can find, that's hotel industry at its finest
We originally thought about staying there tbh. But we found out what the price of this place was. I forgot what though it was 6 years ago
I know, right? lol
Exactly! It's such a nice hotel, you wanted 4 rooms just so you could see how freaking horrible it is!
What I found really cool is how the Westin Peachtree compares to the central tower of the Renaissance Center in Detroit
They share almost the exact same design
They're both in the 720s in terms of feet high
They're both hotels (One's a Westin, the others a Marriot)
And they were built one year apart (Renaissance Center in 1977, Westin Peachtree in 1976

So the Atlanta streetcars share the road with cars like the McKinley Bridge did when it first opened?
Oh My Favorite Song Let it Burn
You guys just missed me. I was at the
Marriott marquis, Hyatt regency, and Hilton
This must have been done during the winter with all the steam coming off the roofs of various buildings.
Wow that is a VERY slow elevator for a 73-story building. I've ridden one nearly twice that fast in a 13-story hotel in San Antonio, TX. I guess it's slow so you get a better view. But still, that must have taken almost 3 minutes just to get up and down in the hotel. LOL!!! Great video though. :)
These 2 elevators are just for the restaurant/observation area and not the hotel rooms, There are several interior elevators for the hotel
I was there in July 4 2002 ultimately awesome
The elevators at the time were Lexan!
My life bucket list: (to visit)Westin Peechtree PlazaMarriott Marquis AtlantaHyatt Regency AtlantaHilton Regency AtlantaW Hotel Buckhead
I had a Thyssenkrupp tech take me up to the roof to see the machine room for these. These have Elevonic 411M controllers and 219HT machines that can go at the same speed as the main ones but they thought it was too fast.
So what was the main stadium they used during the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games? I'm just curious... You know; where they had the opening and closing ceremony at?
Turner Field
👍👍👍
I like elevator shows
Always have dreams of them
The new version of
Anyone else notice the police car at the too left corner of that brick building @4:55
I'm from stone mountain stayed at Westin many many times after winning much money in Biloxi each time I treat myself to 20k of swanky weekends
20K? You're totally cool. I like the part where you randomly brag about unproveable money to impress internet strangers.
I got a tour of the machine rooms here, I finally got time to upload it it is expected June 5th
at 5:20 i see a running track on top of a building. what is building called?
It's the Georgia Pacific building's parking deck
Peachtree Plaza Hotel Build In 1976 Atlanta Georgia Burt Reynolds Movie ☺😎
Who's that guy that was with you and what's his RUclips channel if he has one?
Eric, EMS318
I wouldn’t want to ride this! Because I’m afraid of the height going way to the top.
That is one modern hotel :O
Chaos Zombie999 I’ve stayed at this Westin so many times and have always enjoyed it! Great rooms and the views are awesome!!!
That half circle is the World of Coca Cola.
is that the tallest tower in atlanta
Yes it is!
I wouldnt want to stay here. I would rather stay at the inn at the peachtrees down the street :)
Why
He was being sarcastic. Did you see The Elevator Channel;s review of the Inn at the Peachtree?
***** no
i just 10 min ago i was there
Is this supposed to be a "show", or is it just a really great elevator? Why raise expectations?
They have to
The floor no longer rotates due to that 5 year old kid that got crashed and killed
