  • Today on ‪@CoolStuffWithKyle‬, I introduce my new pet spider, a Guatemalan Tiger Rump tarantula. This is a young spiderling / juvenile. The species is Davus pentaloris. This spider may eventually get up to somewhere around a 4" leg span. It is very docile at least at this point in time, and a beautiful species in my opinion.

I think that enclosure is a bit big for that tarantula…possibly 2 times too big

    From what I understand a
Davus pentalorus Guatamala Tiger Rump are skittish and heavy webers and would prefer an enclosure that is taller and max size tank of 8x8x12 inches tall for adult or in your case for an almost juvenile an acrylic enclosure 6x6x10 inch tall you would notice more webbing with tunnels and multiple entrances/exits.
Tarantula Collective on RUclips has a great episode on Davus pentalorus
