An overloaded tub with an out of balanced condition at high centrifugal forces will certainly do it. Think of a large comforter or pillows bunched up on one side of the tub in the spin cycle. Thanks for watching!

Chip, great video. Is the defect (bent tub) that the vertical wall of the tub is no longer perpendicular to the bottom of the tub?
Yeah, I think that is what’s going on. I’ve checked the center post with a square a few times and it was never bent on the machines I checked.

The same thing happens when the balance ring loses liquid without you realizing it and you change new rods and it remains the same.
