He's not drinking beer. It's honey lemon water to help coat his throat. Freddy's voice was (at least) three octaves and he gave EVERY OUNCE of what he had EVERY performance.
Everyone thinks that bohemian Rhapsody is about Freddie Mercury having AIDS but it was written in 1974 long before he was diagnosed. The band never explained what the song was really about which is why people get it wrong. Freddie’s ex-girlfriend Mary has implied that it was about him coming to terms with his sexuality. You should react to Best Friend by Queen it’s about his love for Mary which he still had even after he left her because of his attraction to men. They remained close through out his life and he even left most of his estate to her because he said if things had been different they’d have married and it would have been hers. R.I.P. Hi guys, they were fabulous together, when Freddie passed a year later they the group put on a concert in his honour, George Michael done a fabulous job with this song, absolutely nailed it, and all the artists played for free at Wembley Stadium, all proceeds went to the Mercury foundation for aids research,❤❤🎉love and peace ✌🏽
You should really see Queen perform at Live Aid... they went on very early with noone knowing they would be performing and within minutes Freddy had a crowd of thousands that weren't there for them eating out of the palm of his hand. It's concidered one of the top 3 live performances ever.
9:57 no, its rare that a band has a Singing Drummer because its one of the hardest things to do, Drumming is a physical thing and singing needs concentration and good position. That's why Roger Taylor should get more acknowledged by everyone and deserves so much more respect. He is a Great Drummer but also an amazing singer. He is the one in the Band that usually does most high notes in their harmonies. If you wanna see him do some great Angelic high notes check out *Queen Live at the Rainbow (1974) - In the Lap of the Gods* (link if you need ruclips.net/video/xNmrj5nTMOc/видео.html ) he had a big vocal range Yea Freddie is definitely a more legendary singer than Rog but Roger complements his voice, pretty good explanation. About Freddie's life, no he didn't have an awful life and suffered everyday or whatever, his life you could say is pretty close to everyone elses, it is painful somedays it is good somedays. Bohemian Rhapsody came out in 1975 and Freddie didn't have and also didn't knew he had aids until 1987, so Bohemian Rhapsody has nothing to do with him telling his mom goodbye, actually no one knows what the song really is about but its not about Freddie actually dying. Somebody to Love is also not a song where he is just talking about ''can I find somebody to love'' its also about questioning life and the existence of god. Freddie did have some lovers in his life but the one he lived with until the end was Jim Hutton who was a nice guy. Some other things, Somebody to Love was Freddie's personal favorite written song and favorite Queen song in general. Another thing is, Freddie was a magical pianist, but he himself didn't think he was really good, but for piano players he isn't just a decent piano player, he is very very good and created some legendary pieces with his skills. He just didn't think much of it.
Roger is exceptional. In most other bands he probably would have been the lead singer. 🙂 There are a few other great singing drummers. Some examples: Phil Collins (solo/Genesis), Don Henley (The Eagles), Karen Carpenter (The Carpenters) , and Levon Helm (The Band).
@@DSBac Yes. Also not only ''would'' roger have been a lead singer but he was the lead singer for his own band the cross. But yea all these Drummers you listed are great singers, so inspiring.

Although Jim Hutton was his boyfriend/lover for a long time and they cared for each other deeply, Freddie's one true friend and love who NEVER betrayed him was his ex wife, Mary Austin. He left her the bulk of his estate. He also instructed her where to place his ashes and to NEVER divulge the location. She NEVER has!
He wasn't singing about AIDS in Bohemian Rhapsody, he wasn't sick when that song was written. He went on record several time saying that each person who listened to it could come up with their own meaning.

Correction, Many of his contemporaries who knew him suggested the meanings of Bohemian lyrics. His parents were great people and religious so it seems it was terribly difficult for him struggling with his sexuality. Maybe that's part of "Momma, just killed a man" (himself.) When we request the live version we mean their performance at live aid the summer of 1985. It's believed to be their best performance ever. You can find it on RUclips under Queen full concert.
There is not 1 bad Queen song.
They were amazing.
The best Queen song is the last one you heard.
The best band ever
Talented musician and performer but, he knew how to play the audience best and they loved him for it.
Rodger (the drummer) had a career as the front man before he was part of Queen. He had an awesome voice and Im glad you noticed and appreciated it!
Roger Taylor was in college studying to be a dentist when he met members of Queen.
R.I.P. Freddie Mercury I hope you found love ‼️🙏😔
I am so thankful to have been alive during this time, so young, a mere 19. We had it all, musically.
You should really see Queen perform at Live Aid... they went on very early with noone knowing they would be performing and within minutes Freddy had a crowd of thousands that weren't there for them eating out of the palm of his hand. It's concidered one of the top 3 live performances ever.
The one and only time I saw them live was this concert. Thanks big sis for taking me.
Other Queen songs - You're My Best Friend, Fat Bottomed Girls, Another One Bites The Dust, and The concert at Live Aid
We will be sure to check them out because we are loving queen so far
Live Aid was epic
Fat bottom girls is so 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You mean "Other Queen songs to listen to. ANY & ALL!"
The “ice cream truck” just killed me. Really dead. 🙃
You two make a good team. :)
Thank you so much for the kind words and coming back for another video
I have the wonderful memory of seeing Queen perform in concert in the UK, many, many years ago. Their live performances are awesome.
He was absolutely amazing
Roger is exceptional. In most other bands he probably would have been the lead singer. 🙂 There are a few other great singing drummers. Some examples: Phil Collins (solo/Genesis), Don Henley (The Eagles), Karen Carpenter (The Carpenters) , and Levon Helm (The Band).
@@DSBac Yes. Also not only ''would'' roger have been a lead singer but he was the lead singer for his own band the cross. But yea all these Drummers you listed are great singers, so inspiring.
Somebody to love is ltso a tribute to Aretha Franklin as Freddie loved, she was a big insperation for him. Freddie was daiagnosed with HIV + in -85. And with AIDS in spring -87. He dieth november 24 -91. R.I.P Freddie 👑🎤🙏
You were so lucky!!! What an awesome memory!! As time goes by, we realize more and how Freddie's voice was and is incomparable!!
queen's production is unmatched
Love of my life, live. You can really hear what Freddie can do!
The Drummer is one of the best singers.
I love your responses to Freddie and Queen. He was a legend and Brian, Roger and John are legends as well. Long live Freddie's legacy.
He wasn't singing about AIDS in Bohemian Rhapsody, he wasn't sick when that song was written. He went on record several time saying that each person who listened to it could come up with their own meaning.
Great job on the reactions. Keep up the good work.
What kinda of music did you guy's listen to as kids? It's weird you haven't heard most of this kind of music. Our family grew up on classic rock, soul, slow jams, hip hop, disco, eventually rap. It's fun watching you while you discover new music 🎵🎶
I Amber grew up a little bit of everything Jordanr grew up on rap and hip-hopHis parents don’t go outside of that very often if any
And this performance was forty years ago. In the 80’s, I was in my twenties and I wasn’t listening to very much music from the 40’s - although I eventually discovered how much good music there was back then.
You guys need to check out queen's live aid performance. Phenomenal. Greatest live performance EVER.
Freddie Loved his 1st girlfriend. She let him go but stayed close friends with him till he died. She got the call Freddie died & he gave her all his music. Freddie loved his best friend with all his ❤. Freddie was a Beautiful man.
That voice does sometimes bring chills with just how good that voice was.
His first love and called her his wife was Mary Austin, after they broke up, she worked with him and was there at the end...his last love was Jim Hutton...from 1985 until Freddie's death
Queen and Freddie Mercury are everything to me...thank you
The drummer in “The Band” is a fantastic singer and the drummer in “The Eagles” is totally awesome singer!!!👌🎵👍🎼✌️🎶😎
yes, but the eagle‘s drummer is nowhere near that good as roger taylor as a drummer. just listen to the much simpler drumming of don henley. many say roger taylor‘s singing voice sounds like rod steward‘s.
Even though you can't get the full sound from a live concert, it's awesome to see him put on a show. 👏👏👏
Roger Taylor is the drummer and his voice is awesome. But you need to do more Queen they really are an amazing band!
loved Queen, so many amazing songs
Hey guys, yes drummer's sing. Lol! Check out The Eagles "Hotel California" Don Henley sings, or The Band featuring the Staples "The Weight" Levon Helm, the Drummer was the lead singer. You realize that Phil Collins who was a drummer made a career out of Singing. Check out "In The Air Tonight". Love you two, great Back ground! Thinking about getting some spray paint! Lol! For Real Though, love your reactions!! 🤔🤗😎
No to be honest I have no idea Phil Collins was a drummer
@@RobSquadReactions Phil was a drummer in the rock band Genisis until the singer left the band. Then Phil took over singing along with still playing the drums. Then he went solo for awhile and then he toured with Genisis and solo off and on.
@@RobSquadReactions Don Henley is the drummer for The Eagles. He sang some songs, Glenn Fry the guitarist sang some song and so did other Eagles band members.
You left out Karen Carpenter
@@chrisalldis3375 Indeed I did. Thank you for the reminder.
I was there...two different years. The entire Live Killers album can't be beat. Except by their studio albums up to 1979...enjoy tour explorations...I have to go listen to Queen II now!
I think you'd love "Killer Queen"...it really showcases his voice.
We will definitely have to check it out thank you so much for the suggestion
@@RobSquadReactions loving the reactions lil brother!
Thanks for keeping great music alive! Love ya'll!
Bohemian Rhapsody was written by Freddie back in the early days of Queen..around 1975... he never found out he was HIV full blown until April 87'... he generally had a bad unlucky in Love life, more because of his life.. but he wrote some fantastic pieces of work, as did the other members of the band. If you listen to the official album song, you see them all singing, fantastic harmonising. Roger and Brian sang songs too on their albums by the way.
I was lucky enough to be there. I will never forget that show. To this day, I can say it was the best show by far. I still have part of the ticket. Thank you for making feel there all over again. I remember having " ringing' ears for a couple of days after. 😊😊😊
Mercury was diagnosed with AIDS in April 1987. Bohemian rhapsody was recorded in august 1975 and has nothing to do with it. As Freddy said, he had 3 or 4 songs and he decided to release them in one song.
Amber, if you love his live performance (and who doesn't), then you gotta see and listen to the Live Aid Concert...Queen took the show and kicked ass. Even if you don't do a reaction, it's a must, for your own enjoyment.
Definitely! The absolute best
Hey, your beard is back to normal again. Your daughters are adorable. And your taste in music is improving everyday
Also, tell Amber, when your kids are being quiet, thats when you know they are up to no good.
I got it back black thank you so much for checking out our family channel! That’s exactly what I told her I said you should’ve known because they Were quiet LOL
@@RobSquadReactions Did you have to use that stuff us old men use to remove grey, i think its Juat For Men
@@vincentdarrah just for men I did!!
Live Aid concert performance. Great set. Gotta watch that one. Everyone reacts to that one. Loved by all
Bohemian rhapsody was made long long time before he found out he had aids. Someone giving you incorrect info!!!! There are plenty of documentary's on queen and Freddie mercury. Would love to see some reactions to a few.
True story!
I grew up in Montreal and for several years around this time, my friends and I loved certain bands so much, we saw them live every time they came to town. Queen was 1 of those bands. So, I was probably at this concert.
They were always worth buying a ticket.
Bohemian R. was written years before he got Aids. He claims the songs don't point to anything in particular. They have a ton of great songs. Enjoy.
Freddie was amazingly and uniquely talented and met up with 3 other extraordinarily talented musicians to form Queen. We were blessed to have them as long as we did.
Great choice
Thank you so much for coming by for another video
One of the greatest singers in rock history and the guitarist is actually a rocket scientist! Keep rocking! 🤘🤘
Roger Taylor (drummer) is AHHHHHHmazing!
The ice cream truck plays “The Entertainer” (the one you were humming) and “Turkey in the Straw”, among others LOLOL
Movie Bohemian Rhapsody will give you some insight. All members of the group wrote hit songs!
Me and Amber are definitely going to watch it
Yes ! I second that! Please watch the movie Bohemian Rhapsody.
@@RobSquadReactions Take it with a grain of salt! For instance, they never broke up.
Yeah, the movie is mostly for entertainment. They took a lot of liberties in that storyline. A great in depth documentary is Queen. Days of our lives.
@@RobSquadReactions The movie is massively inaccurate.
Best live performance in human existence
Queen sounds so much like their recorded albums. Not many groups/artists can compare.
Yaaaaaay ,more Queen ! Love it. Freddie we still love you.🦋 Yes Roger Taylor has a great voice and so does Brian May.
The drummer, Roger, has an awesome voice...and no, most drummers do not sing! Roger is as good or better vthan anybfront man today. Queen is always best LIVE!!
I can't say enough about this band. Each and every member is/was so talented. You need to explore them more.
The Drummer (Roger) has an amazing voice! As does the entire band. If ya wanna hear another drummer who is incredible as well, check out The Eagles!
Can you imagine someone just singing this good without any processing. He really was a special entity
I could watch this on repeat. 🤩 He was the manliest bisexual that I've ever seen
you're a lucky man to have a wife who not only encourages your journey of musical discovery, but will be there as a guide and encourage your experiences without judgement.
So glad you are loving Queen💛The movie is not all right, Freddie did ok, and he has all the swag you should watch live aid.💛
Welcome to the world of Queen... everyone sings, everyone contributes to the performance, everyone contributes to writing the music and the sound is unmatched and awesome. AND... as a bonus in the event you did not know, the lead guitarist has a PhD in Astrophysics. You should have been alive when this was happening like I was. You would be a fan for life!!!!
Roger Taylor was always a huge support to Queen Vocals as well as Bryan May
I saw Queen at Madison Square Garden around 1982. Absolutely fabulous in concert.
Correction,
Many of his contemporaries who knew him suggested the meanings of Bohemian lyrics.
His parents were great people and religious so it seems it was terribly difficult for him struggling with his sexuality.
Maybe that's part of "Momma, just killed a man" (himself.)
Anyway,he lived a life of passion and brilliance like comet and the world will never be the same!.
Thankyou Freddie!.
Legend.
Thanks.👍
You guy's make me happy..every time I see a video without Amber it shocks me..Love you Amber..💕
Freddie, Brian and Roger did solo albums
I’m definitely going to have to check out their solo albums then
@@RobSquadReactions there is a Queen documentary called DAYS OF OUR LIVES...Brian and others discuss everything about them, the band and Freddie...it's a good watch..it's an accurate account of their story
