I like the "From Scratch" videos and I learned a lot. But I think that a beginner can't handle it because a lot of it isn't really from scratch, but has already been created. For example, the combobox can only access the table if it is already created and the named range already exists. For beginners it is easier if you first see how the data sheets are created and then the user form. But for advanced users it is very instructive.

Very good application and video! Thank you Randy. In the form of this application there is a restriction of the number of categories (max 6), subcategories (max 12) and products (max 18). Is there a way to make these scrollable like a listview can? So you can use more then the restricted items.....
Hi and thanks, yes for sure. Instead of using a picture or button you can use a listbox to display the categories, which can be scrollable, and allows for unlimited categories. HI and thanks very much for your comment. You can run and advanced filter (without any criteria) in order to get the unique # of categories. Once you have a list of unique categories you then run a loop from the first category to the last category. I will then create those shapes based on each category. Make sure to name the shape the same as the category name, so that when someone clicks on a category, it is the name of the shape, the category name, that is used as the criteria to display all of the items within that category. Hi Randy. Trying to learn VBA in my old age. Is there any way to show the subcat pics and labels for only the items that appear in the subcat list in the database. Eg. When i Click on a Category A it shows all the subcats correctly, but when I click on Category B it shows all the assocated subcats for Cat B AND the subcats for Category A. I was hoping that each time we selected a Category the SubCats will be cleared and the new items for the next Category will show up. Is There a simple script to achieve this. Thank you kindly.

When you select a Category, you want all the sub-categories to show and when a sub-category is selected, you want the advanced filter to run to display those sub-category items. If you have downloaded a template and macros are blocked, Microsoft disables macros from workbooks downloaded over the internet. Is it possible to add a discount button? For me I have a product that if they buy 5 of the product it is at discount cost. (I.e. individual cost is $5, 5 product $8). How would I do this with this system? Also, how can I link credit card and bank icons to my bank account to actually get paid?

Hi Randy. Great Utility. Why do i get Runtime error 481 Invalid picture. Debug points me to this , " Then SubCatPic.Picture = LoadPicture(PicPath) Else ". This happens when I click on the 3rd Category , Meats and Seafood. Will really appreciate any pointers. Thank you kindly.
Hi and thanks, this will mean that the PicPath is not correct. So you would want to check the PicPath and see how it is different to the actual picture on your computer.

Hi Aaron, thanks for your comment. I have not tested this on a Mac so there may be some modifications required. Mac's do not allow ActiveX components so if you are using a Mac it is better to run something like this using Parallels which will run PC Windows in a Mac: www.excelforfreelancers.com/go/rwm-parallels-YTDesc

Col8 "Equivalent Hours"
Col9 "Total Students"
Col10 "Time Start for class"
Col11 "Days Schedule" e.g. Mon/Thu;Tue/Fri,Wed/Sat,Mon,Tue,Fri, and so on.
Col12 "Time End for class"
Col13 "Total Hours Rendered"
Col14 "Class Group" e.g. Whole Semester,Block 1 & 2,Block 3 & 4
Based on this data, there will be a graphical view to show the schedules and it has a conditional formatting as an indicator whether the subject is belong to the criteria in Col14.
