Excellent presentation! Also need to add a "DELETE CONTACT" button. I've followed Dan Strong for years now and between the two of you, I've learned a lot about VBA.
That is great and thanks so much. No doubt a Delete Contact button is needed, however we were already way over time on this one. Feel free to download the template and give it a try, and customize it however you like.

Hi Randy. Could you please create a useform with dynamic dependent comboboxes in your next video? It would be cool if they were dependent 2-3-4 levels (2 is dependent on 1, 3 is dependent on 2, 4 is dependent on 3).

First, THANKS for this beginners guide to UserForms. Secondly, since this is for Beginners, it would be helpful to show EXACLY what ALL default settings/options you have set up, i.e. Option Explicit in the VBA tools. I was able to manually add it to the macro, but would be nice to have our screen match what yours is as we walk thru the exercise (as beginners). Was able to "google" the answer to get it to add automatically now.

You may also want to try something like 'Parallels' which will run a PC version inside of a Mac to make your life a lot easier.

Hi Randy. In the userform series, can you also create videos how can we filter the data and make editable changes. With selection options like if I want to make same changes in multiple rows then I can do it one go instead of doing it one by one.

You do it slightly different than what i do lol. I use for loop to find the value and then do the replacement or data updating with the new values. The issue comes when you have after update events on some forms. Depending on the structure it gets a bit difficult because as soon as some values change, then you could get an infinite loop 😂 the other method i have used in the past is to check a certain value against the old value and then check against it and after update, it will know that youre updating values, etc.

Is it possible to put create a form on a section of the sheet? ie: select a name - then have the name in cell B3, Address in cell B4, Phone in cell D3- etc

Excellent training. How can I have the User form on a different sheet as I don't see the value to type in the form if I can just type in the sheet. Only is that I can add a picture. Now delete button for a contact. But excellent form. I am learning so much with the training. Thanks
Hi and thanks so much. This userform will appear on any sheet you want, So whichever shee you would like, you can place a button to show the userform. I purposely left off a Delete button and I discussed this in the video as I want you to learn how to delete a contact on your own, as that is your homework.

Thank you for the Video. Every time I type in the Formular in the name manage it says "There is a problem with this formular" It always recommends that I should use an ' before the = I am sure there is a mistake on my site.

Hi and thanks for your comment. The hidden field stores the picture name/ path in order to insert the picture into the form. Also we would only need one instances of each file extension and not 2.

Is there any way to create Userforms in the MacOS version of excel?
Yes for sure, Mac's have userforms, however you cannot add ActiveX controls. You are better off using something like Parallels, which allows full windows inside of a mac here: www.excelforfreelancers.com/go/rwm-parallels-YTDesc

I'm getting a strange error where after adding the new contact and closing the Userform (using the X), my Excel crashes. Any tips on troubleshooting this?

I don't understand why in my userform when I fill in the Row Source property I can't use the RangeName that has been created?
Hi and thanks make sure there are no special characters or spaces and also make sure it is spelled correctly. You can try putting an = in front of it however it should not make a different. Try renaming your named range. Make sure the control is a Combo box control as well

Sir i am not understanding that why did you take Hidden Field for contactName and Picture path like what is the work of it and what we will know by thid hidden fields.
Hi and thanks, The field is hidden since it is not needed. When you combine the folder with the picture name, you have an entire picture path, this is used to insert and display the picture. I hope this helps and thanks so much.
