  • In this video we talk about how to calculate ∆G at non-standard conditions. The standard ∆G° of formation that you look up in a table requires that all concentrations are 1M and all pressures are 1 atm. This is silly! In "real life" we are going to have very different concentrations. Luckily there is a relationship between the numbers you look up in a table (∆G°) and "real life" ∆G (∆G = ∆G° + RTln(Q)). This wonderful relationship also helps us show how Gibbs Free Energy is related to equilibrium!
