So why does the thumbnail say "bankrupt" when the company didn't go bankrupt? Can you give honest thumbnails without shocked faces instead of the click bait stuff?
It's actually really cool to hear the inside decision on a startup business! Thanks for the continued value content Graham!
You got it!
This is what people should learn, that if you earn a profit,
doesn't mean you can quickly spend it on a new BMW or stupid stuff like that,
often it was used to paying expenses, rent, wages, ads, utility and other operational cost,
then after all of that was cut, you have to spend that remaining money to resupply
some business owner even earn less than their minimum wage worker hire,
even though they earn $200.000, it just get sliced brutally that by the time its end in your hand,
it's already as thin as a salami
but people always focus on those $200.000 and how those greedy pig owner taking all of the money
from their poor workers. that the business owner must be going to Vacation everyday
there are always a hidden complexity to everything, a lot of unexpected thing,
that unless you ever did that yourself, you won't be able to appreciate the whole process
its nice that we can watch value contet like this you can even lern from Graham that ths story itself is good marketing as we follow this endavour and even How he show us add of other comapnies :)

@@GrahamStephan First, taking endorsements from FTX. Now, a failed coffee company. Not very good at being a bidness expert-are you?
This is a genius 10 minute commercial for a content creator’s product/business and should be studied and analyzed. Creators don’t realize social media platforms shouldn’t be their primary income but it should be used to promote their company or brand independent of the platform just like this. RUclips realizes this also which is why they’re making it more seamless for creators to sell their products while still on youtube so they can get their cut as well and the same with tiktok. Its a win win for everyone
This was my thought!
agreed
Yeah I appreciate the insights, but this was just a clever commercial. I'm not mad.
@@mackhankins i’m definitely not mad at it. I’m learning from it

I love the honesty!! With all the scammers out there. Its great to see some true self reflection & content. Amazing man. ❤
thanks!
I love this!
Thanks man!
This is, by far, the best video you've ever made. This real world rundown on a startup was incredibly insightful. Thank you.
You don’t fail until you quit! Thanks for sharing such a valuable info with us. Good luck!!
I appreciate that!
@@GrahamStephan Look into coffee been commodity contracts, like Southwest did with their jet fuel contracts years ago.

I think a series covering the business decisions and work actively being done in the business would be so cool and have the added benefit of serving as an ad and a reminder to your subscribers about the coffee!
I appreciate when you are sharing from your succes and I appreciate you even more than you share from your failures.
The learnings you just shared from this life and business lesson, is pure gold.
Thanks for doing this 🙏
As someone who's wanted to start a coffee company for the last few years but never got the nerve to pull the trigger, I appreciate this video so much. I'm in the planning phase of the business and this video was helpful. Thanks and good luck in your ventures Graham!
Don't.........
People who buy RUclipsr coffee are sad pathetic people.
Women drink Starbucks, men drink gas station coffee. Children order RUclipsr merch
As a fellow business owner, I had to make the same decision recently myself. If you or your family need an eye doctor, especially with all the computer use, come to my optometry office in Vegas. Be more than happy to help you out!
Can you send me an email? Graham@OGroup.com with your business info!
Very cool for Graham to share insight here and being transparent enough to share a business venture that didn’t work out with his audience.
Glad your still at it!!!
Instead of raising prices our mans decided to keep prices at break even and get creative to keep the company vision of cheap coffee a reality. Thats dedication!
Super insightful, thank you for sharing your wisdom in what to do and what not to do, and being humble enough to talk about it makes it easy to like you Graham! Thank you for all your great content!
Graham, I absolutely love your videos and one of my favorite things about you is your transparency. May you have continued success my friend :)
Thanks for sharing your experience with us and your honesty behind it.
This is so genuine. Thank you.
Thanks so much for watching!
I love this kind of video where you tell the honest truth of the ups and down
Great video, admire the grind in you, Graham... Success or not, respect is in the attempt!
Yes, great video! I also appreciate you being real and appreciative of what you have.
Never let that business go. In the worst case scenario you just pause this business, it's too good to fail. As long as it breaks even, or you can afford to take small losses on it, keep it going! In the end it's going to be a massive success, think long term always.
"Don't be afraid to raise prices." I see this mistake being made constantly in software (where employees cost the most and customers want everything for free). Not raising prices kills companies. Glad to see Graham accepting that this sometimes is unavoidable and it's usually not nearly as bad as you anticipate. Super valuable video!
Thanks for sharing. I work at a bank and I hear young clients wanting to start a business which is great but they just have no idea on the time and effort you have to give. Also still waiting for a watch collection video.😉
Haha soon!! :)
It's cool you still interact with fans in comments. It's rare for creators with as many subs as you have. Staying humble and appreciative of your audience is a great quality to have. Keep grinding dawg 👌
I’m not sure he does, maybe for the first hour after posting, then it’s probably the intern 😂
Really love the insights and honesty in this video.
I really appreciate that!
Great video Graham! I like your honesty and practical advice.
Thanks!!
Love these types of videos! Keep talking about more business related things from your own experiences!
Will do!! Thank you!
solid vid! Raising prices is tough, but business is business. Keep it up !
Thank you! Will do!
Thanks for sharing the challenges of starting up a business. Great video.
Glad it was helpful!
Hi Graham so sorry to hear about your coffee company screwup. I love to drink coffee. Wish you lots of luck 👍🤞🍀
After seeing your videos years ago, I decided to stop buying coffee shop coffee and found a really reliable espresso maker for $350 and now can recreate any drink from a shop and definitely helped save a ton of money.
What I try to tell myself in these aha moments ~ you're either winning or learning. You tested pricing and was able to pivot. Slow growth is not a failure if you remain profitable. These are GREAT lessons for any startup business. Thanks for sharing.
Love the honesty and look into the inner workings of a business. I absolutely love coffee so i will try this at some point.
Nice insight into your personal business ventures. It's good to see you learned and are growing. Thanks!
I love the ideas and approach about tea and coffee!
Graham, you could also places ads onto your product coffee bags or even on the packaging material itself to offset expenses.
Help other small businesses while helping yourself.
We live, we learn 😁 not only about business but how we want to spend our time. It’s people like yourself though that actually try something new and learn something new👏 We’re always learning and adopting. Thank you for sharing 👍 you’ve got this!
WE LIVE - WE LEARN - THANKS FOR SHARING
Nicely done!
It's actually really helpful to see the challenges and what you learned from it!
What you should do is embrace your persona of being a minimalist saver, and have your coffee portray that. What I mean by that is, your customers don't want coffee shipped in a really fancy box. They don't care for the small pieces of paper nestling their bag of coffee. Your audience enjoys saving money, and supporting you. If you can save the company money by removing a label, and keeping things minimalistic, that can be passed on to the customer. Have it almost comical how you dont care for the appearance or small details.
Spot on, get this man on board !
Wrong. If you wanted to save money you would buy cheap coffee from the grocery store and not pay to ship it to your doorstep. Or don't drink coffee at all and drink water instead.
@@1lifeonearth you must be fun at parties
Rest on veteran investor , i learnt so much from this uncle , long term investing and portfolio diversification was his game plans to mitigate financial risk.I'm still holding long term , looking out best options to diversify $100k reserve.
Charlie Munger is a veteran investor and a successful one in that , like the lives of Warren Buffet , Micheal Li and few more set an investing precedent, i suggest you get a FA to assist you in portfoli0 managment .
I agree with you. I started out with investing on my own, but I lost a lot of money. I was able to pull out about $200k after the 2020 crash. I invested the money using an analyst, and in seven months, I raked in almost $673,000
@@rebeccaartgallary Please, could you recommend the FA you work with? I could really use some help right now.
Big Credits to ''Monica Amanda McCluret'' she has a web presence, so you can simply search for, there are some others but it might be difficult to get them, but Sharon has been a good guide through the year.
I searched her name and her website popped up immediately on google, interesting stuff so far, about to schedule a session with her.
I'm in the same spot selling tshirts to our followers as we go. We do a ton of giveaways and sold for a few dollar profit to keep shipping cost down for people but then we made hoodies and it's a much bigger profit margin and I'm learning how to ship cost effectively now. We're on our way!
Good luck, keep going with your venture. 😊
Thank you for the honesty! That's real talk :)
great to hear the update, good luck
Thanks for sharing this story. Super interesting.
Great video Graham! All the best with Bankroll's future 😃😃
love the transparency
great job graham! stoked to try the coffee
Thanks for sharing, no one learns nothing without failing first.
You win some and you lose some but don’t have regrets in the failures. At least you had the drive to try it!
Totally!
Bought my first bag. Thanks for the reminder.
I don't even drink coffee, and this commercial makes me wanna buy some, solely on the fact that you didn't raise prices, when the market was telling you to.
I'll salute your humility here, Graham. This was a fascinating video.
Good stuff, love the transparency
Much success and health to all
2:00 you would think that the product that supposed to be focused on giving the customer the ability to supply coffee for themselves to make would not have to be so concerned about “the fancy box” the product is packaged in. if anything, the idea that if all the materials for packaging and delivery should be supplied in a way to save more money for the customer and the business, super meta
Inspiring. Very inspiring to start doing something with my life.
Love it, was one if the buyers in 2020-2021. Glad to see bankroll is still going !
Keep making videos like this!
Mad respect for not only trying but sharing the lessons you've learned with your audience. People, as an MBA business owner, this is legit what it's like. Lot's of variables and market conditions to navigate, let alone customer sentiment (and these days, affordability, everyone's broke!) Owning a business is a grind (no pun intended there) and takes years to get going, which takes a lot of commitment, which means you need a mission to motivate you to keep pushing. I've only made it (so far) because I maintained a cheap standard of living for 15 years and also have two siblings who joined me as business partners (couldn't imagine going this alone, the mental toll is real.) Morning rant off, thanks again for posting!!!
I remember when this first launched and I ordered several bags and I loved it. I thought the business shut down so this is a pleasant surprise.
I tried but you don't ship to Toronto, Canada. Too bad cause i would love to try some. Good work on your new business and thank you for sharing this information with the struggles you endured!
Awesome video and thanks for sharing. Highly recommend the book “Profit First”
Hey Graham. I don't drink coffee but love your business. It's crazy how simple it can be to run a business. My finance teacher in college runs a puzzle company, and our final is to find the NPV, IRR and payback period. I don't know his actual profitability, but something as simple as selling puzzles can make you a lot of money, and once you get the company up and running, it doesn't take much effort to keep it running. Thanks for all the great content!
Thanks for the advice Graham!
My pleasure!
Santa rally coffee lmao I might have to order that
Enjoy :) let me know what you think!
Love how this video is a very enjoyable Advertisment for Bankroll coffee... without being pushy or deceiving.
Thank you for sharing
Good luck on Bankroll's future! I'm not a coffee drinker myself so not going to buy it lol but I wish you much success.
I respect that you learned a lot, and took full ownership of the lag in the business growth. I believe that's separates good leaders from great leaders. Also, thank you for being honest. From this experience, i am certain you will build Bankroll into something bigger and better.
Sales after this 🚀
We shall see! How’ve you been! Happy holidays!
Ooh! I didn’t know about bankroll tea! I have to check this out. I’ve bought the coffee before and loved it, but now I’m on a tea kick. Hopefully you have a nice chai. You should look into selling frothers, coasters, travel mug/accessories too if you don’t already!
You made a statement few years ago and said “paying for the coffee is the worst spending” and people listened you 😊
A very smart promo 👍 in disguise as I had suspected from the catchy title during the Christmas shopping season but I enjoyed watching it till the end anyway
Love the honest perspective on starting a businesses!
I appreciate that!
Best commercial i have ever watched and the longest...lol. good job and very smart.
Hey Graham!! I purchased this year for the first time. It was GREAT!! The best Earl Grey tea!

Thanks for lighter , brighter background scenes. More positive and uplifting .

Thanks for the low prices Graham. Definitely encouraged to buy this coffe for myself and save money in the long run.
Congratz on the wedding btw
Graham, you're so bright and ahead of the game, you remind me of Ferris Bueller, man! 😎
Thanks for some great insight!
You got it!
Need to add the pod option! Always looking for good coffees but i need the Keurig option!
interesting, thanks for sharing! i am surprised that you didn't implement an exit strategy or maybe that is the strategy to grow then sell in a year or two from now?
You should have promoted the coffee more on your videos.
Lesson learned.
Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge. I Wish I had 1/2 your insight and intelligence. Definitely going to try Bankroll Coffee. Good luck!
THANKS!

I ❤ the different scenery at the beginning of the video
I appreciate it! Unfortunately the acoustics are horrible in such a room
Love the video! Is that BM Sculptures Dinosaur head in the background?
I have not bought the coffee yet, but just keep up the good work I’ve barged you for three years four years and one day will meet each other
Great video. One for the history books.
It just so happens that i needed coffee right now. Im buying
Can't blame you Graham. Some people shout hustle as hard as you can as if it won't take a toll on your body and mental, ultimately focus. Having multiple business requires a team, the bigger they are the bigger team is needed. I thought you would've learned after visiting and spending a day with Mr. Beast.
Bravo !! I am starting my coffee brand and it’s not that profitable but I think it’s a passion ❤
Graham, I have been following you for years. I never knew you were selling coffee. I even listen to your podcast and didn’t know.
