Great mist Vlog, what a wonderful location/conditions. brilliant subject. loved the portrait shot at 9.04 & 12.35 (including deer on the left) great capture. Also 14.56 the 1 trees + dog walker in the canola field. great images thanks for sharing
There’s wonderful locations right on your doorstep and I was just waiting for these conditions Tony ! Glad you liked the images and well spotted 🦌 I only noticed him or her when I opened the images in lightroom ! The dog walker was also very opportune Thanks as always, much appreciated and really value the support on the channel 👍🏻😊
"Days gone by" and "Mellow Yellow" are superb images mate, just loved the mist rolling in and you made the most of it. I can be on a 18km walk Deep in a rainforest and humans leave there rubbish there and it grinds my gears so i feel your anger about low lifes leaving their garbage behind. Thanks Andrew.
Ah man it's infuriating and I don't understand people's mentality on littering the great outdoors. Glad that you enjoyed the images and it was a superb morning to be out with the camera - thanks for watching and have a great week mate - cheers :)
Hi Andrew Another great video , you got some cracking moody and misty shots. Very well done. Great to capture the dear in the shot too, I did see him in the image. So disappointing to see how some people just abuse our environment ☹️ Best Wishes Tim 😊👍
Really appreciate the comments Tim and it was a hugely enjoyable morning with those misty conditions ! Well spotted as I only saw the deer in lightroom and didn't realise I'd captured him. I just can't understand people's mentality and how they deem it OK to litter the landscape :( Appreciate the support as always :)
Wow! So beautiful, the mist looks amazing. Nature is so beautiful, I really need to enjoy more of the great outdoors. Great video and beautiful photos. We subscribed and can't wait for more of your videos!
Hey guys thanks for watching and so glad you enjoyed the film - it was a beautiful morning and conditions for photography were just perfect. Thanks for the sub too 😀 I'll pop over later and take a look at what's going on on your channel 😀
Beautiful misty photos of the lone trees over the yellow-green crop. I also stayed local over the Easter weekend, crowd avoidance - it can get rather busy on the East coast!
Thanks mate and glad that you liked the misty lone tree images which were an added bonus on the way back to the car ! Great minds - everywhere appeared rammed packed so staying home and local definitely the best choice - cheers Russ :)
Too bad about the trash - I’ll just say it’s unacceptable. We’re big on Leave No Trace - I’m sure you see it on the hiking channels, and I’m sure they post signs nearby. Anyway, I’m so happy to see you outside enjoying nature and being inspired by the misty landscape! That was wonderful to have the deer wonder through the area! Lovely photos on today’s video! I hope you can find some more quiet places and continue to capture the peace and grace of nature! :) Jennifer L
Absolutely Leave no Trace but that's like a foreign language to some grrrrr. Thanks ever so much for the lovely comments and it's great to be back outside , especially when the weather's like this Jennifer :) Had a lovely morning out yesterday and we're off in the caravan later this week to Wales so really looking forward to that :)) Take care and catch up soon.
I totally agree with you on the rubbish, what are people thinking. Anyway, great video. Enjoyed this one. The mist and fog really do make a photo stand out. Beautiful images. Think my favourite was the last one.
It's a disgrace and I really despair and can't understand the mentality of people ! Glad you enjoyed the film as I thoroughly enjoyed making this one with the conditions being so good. Cheers Paul :)
Beautiful video Andrew, such atmospheric conditions! I also despair at the lack of humanity when it comes to littering.. really can't understand it. Loved this one, excellent 👌
Really glad you enjoyed as I felt my mojo returned on this morning ! Disgraceful behaviour indeed and utterly disrespectful and disgusting - thanks as ever Ben 👍🏻😊
Glad to see you out and still in shorts! Loved the 'Days Go By" and "Still" images, that tree is so picturesque, and positioned right on the lake is perfect. Your images have this wonderful, painterly, dream like quality which I find so inspiring. Wouldn't mind seeing a video of you discussing your post processing workflow. Also, sad to see not everyone has the same reverence for nature, it's a problem here as well. Well done!
Always shorts weather Chris ha ha !! Glad you liked the images with which I was quite happy this time out especially with the mist descending and providing that perfect backdrop - Its so moronic and totally despicable the way people treat the countryside - our local council are offering free litter picking equipment as it's a huge problem since people were 'let out' after lockdown a few weeks ago - I'm going to apply for the kit and get out there to clear up with some friends. I'm not the best at LR and PS edits ; I'm OK at it but I think that there are far better You Tubers out there who do the post processing stuff and I made a decision to keep my channel to "in the field" That said, I'd be happy to share my process 1-1 so leave it with me and at some point I'll put something together for you if you like ?
As Life Decides, the detail in that image is brilliant. The deer looking on adds so much - for such a small detail (in relation to the composition) that really makes it for me, something special. Mellow Yellow is also a really nice shot - the addition of the dog walker adding an unusual element that really works. However Andrew, as usual, all your shots are fab mate :) I think you speak for all of us about the dregs that leave their rubbish everywhere - twits.....with a different vowel
Thanks Dave - didn't spot the deer until I opened the image up in LR and wish I had something like an 80-400 at the time ! Just like you said, there was the promise of mist and it certainly delivered a double dose - so strange how it lifted and rolled back in again but I'm not complaining as it was perfect timing as I headed back to the car past the trees. And yes - so moronic and such disgusting behaviour from them ! Much appreciated as always :)
I liked the separation you got on the tree among the yellow flowers. I think a good thing about covid is we began to appreciate our local areas more. Too bad everyone did not feel this way by the trash they left behind in the beginning footage even some floating on the pond. I worry what we are doing to this planet more and more.
I do worry for our children and their children as the planet is on a self destruct course by the total disregard and lack of respect shown to our beautiful planet ! I totally agree. Back to the photography and I had a thoroughly enjoyable morning and as you say, found beauty on my doorstep which has indeed been a by product of the pandemic. And yes there were cans and bottle in the water which I had to clone out of the images !! Thanks as ever for the comments, support and feedback Duane which really is appreciated :)
Many many thanks James and appreciate the great comments - it was a cracking morning and really glad I got out with the camera. Ha ha James - always wear the shorts !
Thanks Adrian and was a delight to make with a double dose of the mist that morning ! Absolutely loved the local wander out and happy with the shots and thanks for the comments mate and have a wonderful week 👍🏻
Beautiful landscapes Andrew. It is to bad people have no respect for nature. I see more and more of that myself. It has been such Beautiful weather here this last week I have not had time to make a video. After this long winter I can't bring myself to sit at the computer. But it is going to rain tomorrow. Have a great afternoon.
Thanks so much Sandra it was great to get back outside in such delightful conditions and I thoroughly enjoyed making this one - we had hail and sleet here today after some beautiful hot weather ! Totally bizarre weather ! I was so disappointed to arrive and see the littered countryside when I arrived and witness the total disregard for the countryside - it infuriates me ! Thanks for the lovely comments and support as ever and take care :)
Awesome video intro Andrew! Getting better at the drone video for sure. And ah man, I really hate coming across trash... It's not hard at all to bring one trash bag to clean up your mess. Awesome misty reflection images! We're just entering fog season here in San Diego and I can't wait!
Many thanks Brian and slowing the flight speed to achieve the more cinematic feel and trying to fly in close too. Disgraceful and disgusting isn't it ! My favourite conditions are mist for sure especially around water and trees. Look forward to you misty adventures and fingers crossed for you - thanks as ever for the support :)
Thats why I love the uk my grandad and grandma live close to chester such a nice place :D I would love to see you make some photos at Cheshire oaks haha just kidding great video Andrew!
I think if you get out early, you can mostly avoid the crowds. Having said that, your local location looks stunning, so it made for a great video. Except for the rubbish - I completely agree, it makes me furious. And what's with dog walkers who pick up their dog's business, put it in a bag and then throw the bag in the bushes?! I'd rather they just left the dog mess than do that. Anyway, great video - you captured the awesome conditions perfectly. Lovely subtle colours and really strong compositions. I think 'Days Go By' was my fave. 👍 Shame you didn't have the right lens for the deer, but maybe you can go back another time with a longer one. 😀
You could be right Robert but after much deliberation it was stay local but maybe chance my arm next time :) Totally moronic and couldn't believe my eyes when I arrived and that's another great point you make - maddening to see black bags growing on trees and bushes !! It was a beautiful morning and thanks for the compliments on the images 👍 Glad you still like my favourite silver birch after its third or fourth appearance 😀 I tried to switch to the 70-200mm but it had gone before I had chance but still feel I need one with a longer reach - never seen deer this local and no idea where it had come from ! Thanks mate and safe travels
@@AndrewHamiltonPhotography I get goosebumps when I see you in shorts in this weather! 🙈😂 The hanging tree is a great example that you don't always need a blue sky :)
Amazing moody images Andrew! Nice to be back at youtube :) and see what has been going on. But the view of the trash..... :( that is so sad. I was out couple of days ago and saw a S)#¤ load of used tires under a forest. Anyway great vid!
Many thanks Caspar ! It's moronic and despicable isn't it - so disappointed to see that litter and most people have commented as to how much litter they have seen out in the countryside - hope you're safe and well and look forward to your next video :)
i can see why you like the area and that Silver birch tree , the fog really was a great addition to the scene , sadly the rubbish was not , i dont understand how people can just walk away from that , great if you want to sit and enjoy the area with a picnic and some drink but how much effort is it to take your rubbish with you, some people need to be re trained
So moronic and disrespectful isn't it - totally irresponsible and unforgivable ! Thanks Lee and to think I've never photographed here until lockdown focussed us on shooting local !
Hi dear friend so stunning video thumps up more watch to support you please keep posting more videos with my full love and respect from Turkey Please stay safe dear Take care
It is actually pretty hard to believe that people just dump their stuff...it is a terrible problem in many areas here...we have such controls on what we can put to the curb and what we can't...clear bags vs green bags, green carts vs blue bags, paper recycling vs plastics...unfortunately, what some are doing is loading their vehicles and heading to a local trail, drive in as far as they can and dump instead of sorting and bagging. Otis and I do try to do our part and bring a bag to pick up what we can and feel safe enough to do so. Just don't know what is going through people's heads though who do it...maybe not caring...sorry for the rant, it is something that really puts me off...despite all that, it sure looks like you caught some great pictures and did enjoy some pretty good time outside...
Rant away Bruce !! So moronic and disrespectful isn't it - totally irresponsible and unforgivable ! And yes I had a great time out with a double dose of mist - really pleased with the shots :) Thanks and take care .
