    In this apprenticeship I teach you how to make Black Panther's Helmet from the Big Box Office hit movie Black Panther! No need to have crazy art skills a large workshop or expensive materials to make this one. I've done the work and created a Pattern/Template that makes this build super easy with a guaranteed good looking result. And all you need to make it is some inexpensive EVA foam, Binder dividers, and some LED lights if you want to go all out! This helmet is perfect for rocking your Black Panther Cosplay to watch the movie for the 5th time, for Comic Con, Halloween, or just to hang out in! Enjoy!
    The materials are easy to work with, takes minimal tools, and can be done in your apartment or a small space as you can see in the video :) You don't need a lathe or other large woodshop or metal working tools to build and it is stronger and more water resistant than paper, cardboard or other materials.
    If you make this build, comment and tell me about it and please send me pictures, I would love to see them and hear about it!

    The only problem I'm having with this is the nose cuts and the part just below the nose on how to make it set perfectly like you did since it's a straight line cut and not a 45° cut!

    • @CosplayApprentice
      @CosplayApprentice  5 лет назад +1

      Did you already do the short undercut sections on the underside of the foam?. That might help get the right shape putting together the nose section. Otherwise, the registration marks are super important and valuable, you may need to push or str tch the foam a little sometimes to get the registration marks to line up but trust the marks and it will work out :)

    • @terryakivlogs8873
      @terryakivlogs8873 5 лет назад +1

      Yes I did but I'm referring to the part inder that where the mouth section is

    • @CosplayApprentice
      @CosplayApprentice  5 лет назад

      @kenobi4k if you need to it may help to heat up the foam in that area and add some curve into it to help it to sit at the angle you need to glue it together

      I got it from tnt cosplay supply. It is really awesome foam, smooth on both sides :) It is mostly 6mm, a couple pieces of 4mm and a couple craft foam pieces at 2mm. Each piece on the template is labeled with which thickness it should be cut out on :) Hope that answered your question :)

    Are you using 6mm WTF on this? I just started and the 6mm seems to be too stiff. Im having a hard time with the face.

    • @CosplayApprentice
      @CosplayApprentice  3 года назад +1

      I made this before we had WTF, so I used a different 6mm foam but it is not near as strong as WTF so you would want to use the Black 4mm WTF as a base for this. Do you have some 4mm?

    • @CosplayApprentice
      @CosplayApprentice  3 года назад +1

      If you don't have any 4mm, let me know and we can figure something out together to try and get you some :)

    • @sactobat23kennedy79
      @sactobat23kennedy79 3 года назад +1

      I do have 4mm. I got the WTF bundle off Amazon. I'll try that. Thanks!!

    • @CosplayApprentice
      @CosplayApprentice  3 года назад +1

      Because WTF holds it's shape really well, it will fight you more than other foams if you just try to stick the seams together like normal. But if you just heat up the foam after the glue on your seams has set up it will make the foam very malleable and you can stick the seams together and then when it cools it will hold that shape instead of trying to go back to its original shape. :). Hopefully that make sense, essentially, after you have put the glue on both sides of your seams then just heat up the foam to stick them together, it will make it easier :)

      Cosplay Apprentice are you really sure that it can be make with cardbord same like that template

    • @CosplayApprentice
      @CosplayApprentice  6 лет назад

      Getting the details in the cardboard will be the trickiest part. The template will tell you where all the details should go on all the pieces but you will have to do the details in a different way than I did with the foam because I dont think cardboard reacts the same way to the heat gun as foam does. But as for the shape and all the template pieces and telling you where to put the details. I am confident that the template will work with cardboard. :)
