      :) Yeah, I work really hard to make the template as easy to use as possible and super accurate. I spent over 100 hours making the pattern super easy so that people can use it, and within 6 hours have a helmet they are super proud of. So to help compensate some of the time I put in and to help me be able to keep making more patterns like this I do charge a little bit for them. Thank you for watching the video! :)

    This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! My dumbass decided to try to have Hiccup done for a con in January, which doesn’t leave much time for trial and error. Have you considered doing the rest of his armor, specifically his peg leg?

    • @CosplayApprentice

      Yay! So glad you found my video! I am making the rest of the costume and will put out videos on each of the pieces. :)

    • @CosplayApprentice
      @CosplayApprentice  4 года назад +1

      The red foam is 2mm in the video and black is 5/6mm(if using regular Eva foam) or 4mm if using WTF (what the foam). The red piece on the helmet build is letter "H"

    • @CosplayApprentice

      I glued the scales on on my helmet but have since found it that it is much easier to just build the scales right into the foam instead :)

    I’m planning on buying the pattern of it but is it in A3 or A4? My printer only prints in A4 ),:

    • @CosplayApprentice
      @CosplayApprentice  3 года назад +1

      It is set to 8.5x11 size paper, if you select "actual size" when printing it might work fine. But if you have any troubles you can just let me know and I can re-export one at A4 size for you if I need to. :)

I spend a lot of time trying to make the template super easy to use so that anyone, regardless of artistic skills level or experience can make something that they are proud of and build their confidence. That being said, having put 100+ hours into making the template it helps me to be able to continue making tutorials for everyone :)

      I'm sorry that you feel it is too hard, what about it feels the hardest to you? I've made the pattern super easy to follow along with, I think it might be easier than you think when you have the pattern. I actually had a 12 year old make the helmet in just a couple days using the pattern if that helps to convince you that it might be easier than you think :)
