- You would never believe this was made out of gym floor mats (EVA Foam)!! It looks amazing and is super easy to make. If you are wanting to make your own Wonder Woman Costume, this is a great way to make it happen and have it look amazing! I walk you through the whole process from creating the pattern for the breastplate to make it fit you and your body shape all the way to painting it!
In this apprenticeship, You'll discover how to make Wonder Woman's Breastplate Armor from the live action Wonder Woman films! Made simply out of EVA floor mat foam and contact cement! I may not have the right to make a tutorial on how to make female cosplay armor given that I am man, that inadequacy is only exponentiated by the fact that it is for Wonder Woman who comes from a land without men. ;) Please accept my humble effort to make this beautiful costume!
Whether you are making Wonder Woman's Costume from the first movie or the 1984 movie then this video will be a great refrerence for you!

I love how you burn in the designs rather than cutting out individual foam pieces to glue on. It looks so much cleaner and is less to stress about!!!
+Shannon Herman Thank you!! :)
This is amazing! The end product looks like you spent tons of time and money on it but in actual fact you were just very clever and know all sorts of awesome tricks to make it look like a million bucks.
+Meredith Kingfisher Thank you!!!

+Meaghan Fabiani Hahaha :) Thanks! Just trying to help people bring their favorite super hero to life! :)
:D That's awfully nice of you. :) As you can tell by my profile picture, I love Wonder Woman. I saw it on the 10th, and I loved it. I also cried for half an hour, but I won't spoil it for the rest of the people in the comments. :D Thanks again, it's really cool.
+Meaghan Fabiani Awesome!! Lucky! I haven't been able to see it yet, but I hope to soon! I am so excited for it!!!!!
It's really good! But if you're emotional bring tissues. I cried, as I said, for half an hour, but it was so worth it. It's the best movie I've seen. (It might even beat Lord of the Rings)
+Meaghan Fabiani Good to know, I'll definitely need to bring tissues then! Whaaaaat? Better than LOTR. Wow it must be really good then!
definitely an artist! looks awesome
+Vanessa Montoya Thank you soo much! Thanks for watching! :)

a lot of sites/channels show how to make cosplay props/weapon/armor with a "ready to use" printed pattern, it's easy to do. you show how to do it with freehand method. love your vids and work, you just got a new subscriber!

2019: I NEED TO DO THIS FOR A SCHOOL THING, I LOVE WONDER WOMAN AND THEY LEAVE ME DO THIS AS A PROJECT. I don't know what I will do. I just loved what you did, it looks so real and very hard for make.
Your welcome! I’m definitely going to check out other things as well.
Muito obrigado por esse tutorial! Normalmente é muito difícil ver canais estrangeiros com legendas! Era exatamente o que eu precisava!💗
Bless you for making this tutorial! I was so ready to give up on this cosplay because worbla is too expensive for a student like me. Then I found this. Thank you!!
+Nikky Cu Yay! I'm so glad I could help!!! :)
This is SO gorgeously done ...but seems *incredibly* thick for wear.
+SierraRose Przybyla Thanks :) It's not to bad for wear on the thickness but if I were to make it again I would make it out of 5mm foam instead of the floor mat foam :)
Honestly you should just sell the costume online for unartistic people like me 😅
+mekiyah dove-harris lol :)

+mekiyah dove-harris Good to know :) Thanks for your confidence in me! :) YOU ROCK! :)

I always make or print my templates on photo paper so it is both thick, (so easy to trace) and shiny so it is easy to see the details, even in the dark.
I wish I were this awesome! She looks great!!!!
+Aly Cat Haha! I'm sure you are that Awesome!! Thanks! :)
I loved the “voila” part at the end like it was that easy lol

Cosplay Apprentice 😁
Oh man, that breastplate looks SO sick. I was afraid of creating a cheap-looking DIY costume, so I'm really glad I found your tutorial because the result looks so good! Thanks for sharing your knowledge :)
+Jackie Ha Thanks! I'm glad you found it too!! Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words! :)
Hey could you also list the paints that you use? I'm having trouble finding a good red metallic spray paint. There's a lot of gold, silver, and copper, but I'm only finding glitter/sparkle reds, opposed to just metallic. Thanks!
+Jackie Ha Sure thing, I'll try sand get those links added to the description today :) I used mostly automotive paints on this one. :)
I think I'm gonna try this method with a different character. Awesome tutorial
+Marceline206 Sweet! Thanks! Let me know how it goes! :)
This is incredible! I'm hoping to attempt a costume but have limited experience. This makes it much less daunting!
+Hannah McCarthy Thanks!!! Im so glad it was helpful!! :) Thanks for watching! :)
Looking forward to the rest of the wonderwoman stuff! I'm planning on dressing as her for the premiere
+Cat Feldman Sweet! I'm so excited for the movie, the trailer looks so awesome!!!
I have been using this tutorial for my costume and it's turning out really well! One thing I will say, I used the same paint listed in the materials (Dupli-color Metalcast Anondized coating), and it did NOT show up over black. So, what I did was a layer of silver spray paint (which shows up well on black) and then did the Dupli-color over that. It's even better if your coat of silver isn't totally solid- this adds some really cool dimension to the armor. But I had to go get another can of the Dupli-color just because I tried it over black and it didn't work, and this stuff isn't cheap.
This is amazing!! Please do gambit one day!!
+Ashley Winchester Thanks!!! Oh Gambit would be so fun!!!
Awesome! You just got yourself a subscriber.
+Ronin Elenion Thank you!!!

+Diego Salgado Thanks! Im glad it was helpful! :) Thanks for watching!
I have a question and need an expert to help me with this. Do you have any advice or tips on how to curve 8mm foam? I'm having a hard time keeping the shin guards and arm bracers to stay in a curved shape to fit my body. Thanks in advance.
+Diego Salgado Are you using a heat gun?
I actually am. It's an industrial heat gun.
Do you think I should use thinner foam? 6mm instead of 8mm?
This is awesome! I can't wait till fan expo.
+Alisha Rousselatos Thanks! FanX is so fun!! :)
Thank you! I have an idea for a wonder woman inspired version of my fave vintage princess of power so this is a godsend! ❤

If you’re a massive fan of Wonder Woman then I recommend Watching *‘Professor Marston and the Wonder Women’.* It just came out the end of last year, it will blow your mind. It’s about the inspirations of Wonder Woman. True Story. Also he was in a Polyamorous relationship and the women he was in the relationship with inspired Wonder Woman.
Fact/spoiler: They also invented the lie detector. William Molten Marston, Elizabeth Marston, and Olive Byrne. The lie detector ended up inspiring WW’s Lasso of Truth.
Watch the film, it’s super interesting and engaging. The cast are all amazing and gorgeous. Very underrated film. These people were way ahead of their time.
It’s a beautiful story and had my jaw dropping every time I put two and two together lmao

I really like your video and made my Wonder woman cosplay based on your turorials, (this was my first time) but when I was finishing all the parts of the armor that were made on Eva foam I had to prime them with another primer because I couldn't get plasti dip. The thing was that everything look fine, the Eva foram looked very flexible and health until I put the black gloss paint because I didn't know that spray will create fissures because of the kind of paint, didn't Know that I had to painted them with acrylic, so it is a shame because I ruined all the work I had made. By the way, I appreciate your dedication. Sorry for my English and Greetings from Colombia
Awesome video also you are watching justice league in the background, Fantastic :)

+Virginia Berrocal 😁
This is amazing!! Can't wait to make this myself for the premiere. Just a quick question....Can a foam yoga mat be used instead of a floor mat?
+Guineapig108 Thanks! Great question! I think that you should be able to use a foam yoga mat instead, that might work pretty well actually, you just don't want it to be too flimsy of a foam or it might have a hard time keeping its shape. :)
wow!
+CJ Thanks!!
ficou bem legal,Parabéns pela a roupa da mulher maravilha (Wonder woman)
+Deyse Râmilly
Obrigado! Estou feliz que você gostou! :)
cool. was going to use card board
So cool... Amazing! I love it... tank you!♥ I'm from Brazil and I will do... ;)
+Kévila Kelma Thanks for watching!!! :)
How many mats did this end up using? Planning to do this cosplay with a friend of mine and your method seems perfect.
+iSliceDice I think it ended up using about 2.5 to 3 mats maybe. Good luck! Have fun, let me know if you have questions as you get going! :) Cosplay on!
How lucky is sheeee to have someone to make this for her. I wonder though can someone wear a waist cincher underneath the first step to cinch the waist more since the foam ads inches? Hmmmmm
Awesome tutorial! You got a new subcriber :)
Thank you!!! :) Thanks for subbing!!! :)
First I LOVE this, you are super talented!!! Second you said that before painting you would want to put two coats of something, but I couldn't make out what you said?? Also I am going to be making this for an upcoming comic con any tips for a beginner on how to not fail?
+Olivia Naccarato Thanks!!! It's 2 coats of Plasti-dip. :) I would say the best thing to remember as a beginner is don't be afraid to mess up and have to fix mistakes or redo something completely, it happens to all of us, no matter how long we've been doing it :)
Perfect *-*
+Teresita Ramirez Thank you!!!
Yo hice tal cual gracias a unos archivos pero con el pepakura y quedo genial
thank you for sharing this guide.
I've been thinking of doing a She-Ra cosplay and this might be a good starting place. I'll let you know the results.
