      If you compare the number of people who have heard of Beatles or Led Zeppelin or Metallica or even Backstreet Boys to those who have heard of Traffic, Doug's comment becomes self explanatory :)
      Or you can just compare the monthly listener count put up by spotify for these artists...
      But then, you do need people like Steve Winwood or Jeff Beck or Peter Green to know the meaning of underrated :)

      @@fnln1108 Well stated. There’s no doubt that Traffic - and Steve Winwood individually - don’t have near the name recognition they deserve.
      “Underrated” is a term that has almost lost meaning on YT music videos, where it is ubiquitous, but in this instance? Underrated they are indeed. The view count on this video alone tells you that.

    The most progressive song ever. Master Steve Winwood. Why is he not inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame as a solo artist. Unique music absolutely fantastic listening to this song since 27 December 1971 till present.

      I was gifted this piece of vinyl by my cousin in my early teens! Around 1977, 78. with it I also received the Who live at Leeds, Iron Butterfly & Grand Funk Railroad. Kind of stayed with me, especially this track.

    Tom Petty was a giant fan of Steve Winwood . Tom Petty had him open for him and we were lucky enough to witness the genius of Steve Winwood and then Tom came out and gave such respect to Steve.ivee seen them all but these two in one night was the best i’ve ever been blessed to see.🎼🎼🎼

    This song still sounds just as great as it did when it first came out. A true classic.

    Steve belongs as many other great artists, to the dawning of an era of awakening and awareness of what was going on. To my memory Traffic and Blind Faith, both reflect Winwood’s uniqueness of his style. He’s One of a Kind.

    Superb, love this song and such a great vibe to it. Steve is one of the great rock vocalists with such a distinctive voice. Tasty piano work here also. Great musicians who have time to stretch out back in the day when 15 minute songs were not unusual. Thanks Steve.

    Rarely do I enjoy a live performance of a song more than the studio version but this is a notable exception. The studio version of this is amazing

      It was right After John Barleycorn was Released that I Became Mesmerised with Traffic and have since Folllowed Mr. Winwood.
      Saw Him Twice here in Mpls ~2015 and Witnessed that He Still has That Ability to Be So Entertaining with A Voice That Still Possesses His Lifelong Talent!
      Always "Satisfying!"

      1967 I was 16 most of my mates were into Motown and other such American dross. Then I heard Traffics Dear Mr. Fantas album and was hooked on Steve Winwood’s incredible voice and musical talent. Saw him with Clapton at the Albert Hall and it was clear Steve was a step above even good old Eric. Have a listen to Midland maniac…….such a good example of his clever musical genius.

      @@stephentaylor9228 Actually Stephen, that is one of my favorite songs by him, from his first Solo album. I've heard the one at Albert Hall and most other ones out there. That song for some reason takes me out. His whole solo first album is outrageously good.

    One of the coolest songs ever. I am so fortunate to have caught Traffic before they broke up. Steve Winwood is in a class by himself. Not only a fabulous vocalist, keyboardist, but also a fine guitarist and songwriter. Whew!

    Low Spark , a favourite amongst all favourites. The coolest vibe ever!
    Regretfully, I didn’t get to see this line up, but I visit the footage from Woodstock 94, with great pleasure..👍

      Something incredible was going on " Woodstock 94 " I was there all weekend. Traffic was sending out this vibe with the music. Like it was the magical 60's. The rain stopped the sun came out. It got warm. I have seen most of the greats. This was in my top 5 in over 40 years of live concerts!

    One of the many great songs from a supreme Band called Traffic and I grew up in those crazy days of yesteryear and was at the Bling Faith Concert in Hyde Park London, 1969, aged 21, tripping on Acid... What a time that was all those years ago...Music with truth in it...

    commercial radio ignored any song over 3-4 minutes in length. in the early days of FM radio one could hear this and some of the other progressive rock masterpieces from this period but commercial free FM did not last long. thanks to steve and the band for not selling out! and now, I AM GOING TO LISTEN TO DEAR MR. FANTASY AND I SUGGEST YOU ALL DO THE SAME.

    oh how I love their music. miss hearing this song!! love it live. I ve started performing at Open Mics and I sing Gimme some lovin and Dear Mr Fantasy. Guess I ve continued being a fan throughout my life. Loved John Barleycorn too. loved hearing Stevie perform with The Dead. thanks fir making me feel like a teen all over again.

    I would rather listen to this by myself back then before I could be in the same room with people who were'nt into this music while it was playing .It was a thought provoking sound within that music and I would'nt wish to be distracted otherwise .
    I love this music because it allows me to reflect from the journey from then to now .

      I saw Steve Winwood twice live, as the opening act for Tom Petty. I'm a longtime fan of his music. Traffic are so good, as is the Spencer Davis Group, Blind Faith, and Steve Winwood's solo work. Cheers! ✌️

    I saw Traffic play with the Dead in Vegas at Sam Boyd silver bowl in the early 90s. Awesome awesome super awesome show! Unfortunately, Vegas in June or July is way way too fucking hot! There's nothing like feeling like you're going to die from heat stroke on hallucinogenics! But those were the awesome days when you could camp at lake Mead for free and skinny dip to your hearts content 😁

    Traffic have to be one of the best bands EVER......They still sound as good now for me aged 69 as they did when I was listening to them at school aged 17 and then trying to emulate them in a band..
