So good looking. A restaurant I used to go to had Thai basil chicken, and I would always get that. Basil is so good.
I wish I could smell that food as you were cooking. Basil, garlic and fresh chillies are a great combo. And Thai basil has that little extra kick.

Hi Ling. I made tofu dish with mixed vegetables about last month. I coated it with corn starch. It tasted good. Last week, me and the girlfriend went to the Chinese grocery store and have noticed price increases on many items but were able to stock up on discounted produce. Putting it to good use.

Question, I live in Ohio and have never seen Thai basil, could just regular basil work or not? Thanks for sharing. You may check your local farmers market for Thai basil or holy basil. Italian basil tastes different but you may try. Good job making egg foo young 😄

It’s easy to mess up… Took me a while, but once I got the hang of it, I fell in love with it. Very versatile, and healthy.
There is a substantial amount of protien in probably pretty much everything you eat. The rda for protien is 0.8g/kg of healthy body weight. Or about 6% of daily calories (or less) living off GRAINS like wheat, barley, rye, oats, ameranth, quinoa (around 15% protien) you'd be getting 2-3X the minimum Optimal protien requirements. Beans/peas/ Legumes often have double that or more(21-43%) And vegetables can have sometimes over 50% of calories from protien. Protien does not necessarily come from animal products and some animal products don't even have protien. People need to re-educate themselves on protien.

@@ChineseHealthyCook I;m not sure my last comment was sent. Try having your knife professionally sharpened. Watch this process. Depending on how your knife is sharpened you may or may not be able to duplicate the process. Meaning ...you might not have the equipment. But you can purchase whet stones. Three will be needed. Course, medium, and fine. This will take some time. but it will be worth it. Start with course. feel the edge. when you feel some sharpness, change to medium stone and so forth. in the end you will be able to cut thick pieces of vegetable and meat with no effort.
