Farming for the right greens and nuts, generating the starting Chocobos with the exact qualities you need at the locations they're found at, breeding them, RACING them till they're at least Rank A, doing that two more times, till you get a gold Chocobo. Getting Knights of the Round, which you'd really get mileage of against Emerald and Ruby Weapons, certainly WAS worth the effort...but soooooooo muuuuuuch effoooooooort!

You have to make your HP and MP have nothing but 7s in it and equip specific gear that will make all of your attacks do 777 damage 7 times. It's literally lucky gambler cheeses the big boss personified. And you can't pull that on any other boss bc of the XP and other stuff you get from beating Ruby.
Yeah, to get knights of the round you need a gold chocobo. To get that you need two good or great chocobo then win 4 races between them and breed them together using a carob nut until you have a blue and green chocobo of opposite sexes then win 9 races between the two of them then breed them (helloooo Hapsburgs) also using a carob nut to get a black chocobo then you need a wonderful chocobo, it's the one on the ice area with the rabbits, make sure it's the opposite sex to your black one then you need win 18 races between them and breed them with a zeio nut and OH MY GOD WHY DO I STILL REMEMBER THIS!!!

Anyone else feel like that episode went by way too dang fast? Especially that final boss, that was practically done in 10 seconds. The Writing was Still Great, the Jokes are still great but the Quick Edits really threw me the heck off & I almost couldn't keep up with it. Despite it being 40 minutes, it felt more like 9 minutes. I say "Free" but to be fair building the right loadout & then winning the fight with ether side-Boss without cheesing them can make the breading method seam like a viable alternative.

Also the Ruby Weapon is the most difficult since it attacks your party members 1st, summons a sand or something and it has the highest DEF in the game more than Sephiroth
Ikr it's pretty good as well considering it's older and actually includes advent children. Plus I liked how they stayed sillier yet still had brief serious moments

I do see what you both mean, but at the same time, if you take it as an encapsulation of the entire show, and the thing that cements the show's theme of "being a badass", it works a bit better emotionally. I only saw it a underwhelming in as much as there's not AS much fanfare, especially compared to DBZA Ep 60 of HUA ep 10, but it's still pretty much a great thematic cap off
