You really should look into the electric drill combined with waterwheels. The waterwheels put out exactly enough energy to run one electric drill per wheel and the drills are so much more effective in gathering the ressources. And I highly recommend to do the wind turbines instead of the solar pannels. They are cheaper and work day and night although you need more of them, because they only put out 1750 power each. Apart of all that, nice episode. like your series so far and the 7days wasteland series also. Have a good one.
Switched to wind turbines the other day and couldn't be happier. Definitely love using the water wheels for one off electric drills, if I have a group of 3-4 deep ores close by I setup the turbines instead so I don't have to clean out the waterwheels.
@@skyler5230 Nice to hear. I'm playing on prometheus and have about 7 Waterwheels right in front of my base, so I can empty them out without running far. And on a Mountain I made a windpark with about 20 turbines. looks really nice.

I really enjoy your videos. They way you immerse yourself in your story lines is so much fun to watch. I even watched videos of games I would never play.
You won't find any exotics in caves until you do the mission. Its pretty close to the front of the list, down low, two deep, then they will spawn in caves etc. Use wind turbines, they'll give you 24/7 power. Do the missions for Ren, save the exotics. After the first couple of items in the workshop in each tree, you will need Ren AND exotics to buy them. Just do repeat missions for Ren instead. Also, you can buy/repair your workshop items by using the Orbital Transfer board. Its in the tech tree right by the mission board, I think you have to get it first. Also, unlock the antibiotic pill. It prevents pneumonia in caves, pop one before mining and you won't have to worry about the stamina hit.
I had a plan to do something similar to what you proposed with the glass. I am planning to use concrete half walls on the bottom, and glass half pieces on the top. I've done it with wood already, and it looks pretty good.
I feel your pain with having a pup chew chew your glasses. My pup did the same thing while I was passed out. I don't know how he got them but when I woke up they were on the floor and completely chewed up.
Temreki, just a suggestion if you ever want to clean up some of that water/electrical cables in your base. If you have foundations with a floor you can actually remove a foundation and create a tunnel underneath and then wire everything up from below and up the walls as needed. This should work well in the new area where you have alot of the electronic benches.
I like how you synched the mining pick noise with the music. Your video editing is top notch. I am still on the fence if I should buy this game or not. Hello. I'm looking at you from Hungary. I like your series. I'll give you a good tip. you don't have to go to the station if you want to repair something in the workshop or bring up an exotic. you need an Orbital Exchange Interface, tier 2 stuff. with this you can send up exotics and bring down stuff from above. check how it works exactly.
My first thought with the solar panels, is your base is going to lose all power at night, since batteries are not a thing in this. (afaik) Loving the series!~
If you let the water wheel fill with only sponges, you won't need to clean it anymore. Also, untill batteries are added, solar is quite an unreliable source of power.
The bison cart will allow you to take all of the ore in one shot without getting over weight it is slow but does save time if you consider how many trips it takes to get all of it
Hey Tem, unprofessional opinion here, but I would suggest getting at least SOME Wind Turbines on the off-chance you want to have some things running through the night. Edit: Oh, and another high suggestion, one of the first workshop items you should get now that you've got easy access to Exotics, is a Deep Ore Vein Detector from the Workshop, it lets you cycle Ore types to track down Deep Ore Veins.
You're correct in that they take exotics but he's got an extractor on a relatively close exotic vein, so he'll be able to get it in no time. It's worth the purchase, hands down.
